  • Premier League set to restart
  • Haaland getting ready to return
  • Striker not involved in World Cup 2022

WHAT HAPPENED? Premier League football is set to return after the conclusion of the World Cup and one player in particular is bound to be in the spotlight again after missing out on the showpiece in Qatar. Haaland has taken the English top flight by storm since arriving in the summer from Borussia Dortmund but failed to qualify for the World Cup with Norway. The striker has now featured in a new advert for Sky Sports ahead of the big Premier League restart.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Haaland hasn't featured competitively since November 12 due to the World Cup break, which may just be bad news for the rest of the Premier League. The striker will surely be raring to go when Man City return to action and will be aiming to add to his tally of 18 goals from just 13 top-flight outings.

WHAT NEXT FOR HAALAND? The striker will return to action on Thursday in the Carabao Cup when Man City face Liverpool in the last 16 at the Etihad Stadium.
