Match Facts

  1. This will be BK Häcken’s first ever European competition match-up against a side from Azerbaijan.
  2. FK Qarabag have won three of their four previous UEFA competition fixtures against Swedish sides, although the exception was their last such game away from home, a 0-1 UEFA Europa League qualifying defeat to IFK Göteborg in August 2016.
  3. Swedish clubs have now lost each of their last nine UEFA Europa League matches (eight by Malmö FF from 2020 to 2022, one by BK Häcken this season), with BK Häcken losing their MD1 game 4-0 to Bayer Leverkusen.
  4. FK Qarabag have lost 14 of their last 18 away games in the UEFA Europa League (W4), including seven of their last eight (W1).
  5. Qarabag attempted 19 shots in their MD1 win over Molde; only in October 2019 against APOEL Nicosia have they ever managed more in a single UEFA Europa League match (20). Juninho had five of those shots, a joint-record by a Qarabag player in a game in the competition.
