Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has reportedly become the latest target for big-spending Saudi teams, with Al-Ittihad looking to open talks.

    The ambitious Pro League outfit have already lured Fabinho away from Anfield this summer, while also tying up deals for the likes of ex-Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante and former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. They are now said to have Salah in their sights.

    Arriyadiyah reports that Liverpool rejected an initial approach from Al-Ittihad, but are now relaxing that stance as more money is put on the table. The same is said to be true of Salah, who had intended to see out the 2023-24 campaign on Merseyside.

    The 31-year-old Egypt international is reportedly intrigued by what Al-Ittihad have to say, with further discussions being invited. Salah is tied to a contract through to 2025, but those terms could be broken by a side that is looking to piece together a competitive squad ahead of the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup that will be hosted by the city of Jeddah in December.
