Kolkata giants ATK Mohun Bagan beat NorthEast United in their fifth match of the 2022-23 Indian Super League season.
If it was Carl McHugh who came up with the winning goal last game, Subhasish Bose came to the rescue as Bagan secured all three points from the fixture on Thursday.
Liston Colaco, Hugo Boumous and Joni Kauko
Liston Colaco is a tricky winger to deal with for opponents and he was his menacing best for Bagan against a hapless NorthEast United. His efforts were rewarded with a goal which was Bagan's first of the night.
Hugo Boumous once again delivered a commendable performance in the final third. He set up Colaco for the opening goal of the game and the opposition could only come up with fouls as a way to stop the midfielder.
Joni Kauko provided the midfield base for the Mariners to operate from. He was influential in getting his team 57 per cent of the ball and out-performing the opponents in terms of touches and passes during the ninety minutes.
Dimitri Petratos
Petratos produced a lovely ball to assist Subhasish Bose for the late match-winning goal. However, Bagan could have avoid last-minute panic had the forward finished his chances. Going forward, Juan Ferrando will want his striker at his best when it comes to converting chances.
