    A few weeks to the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, a number of Nigerian players rediscovered their goalscoring boots with goals for their respective clubs across Europe.

    Kevin Akpoguma

    The Nigeria defender salvaged a point for Hoffenheim with a stoppage-time equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

    Three minutes after coming off the bench, Akpoguma linked up with Togo's Ihlas Bebou in the 91st minute to cancel out the visitors' first-half lead at the PreZero Arena.

    The late equaliser, which was Akpoguma's second league goal of the season, stretched Hoffenheim's unbeaten run to six Bundesliga games.

    Three days after scoring in Villarreal's Copa del Rey victory, Chukwueze wrapped up his team's 3-1 comeback victory over Real Sociedad in a La Liga fixture.

    The Super Eagles scored his second La Liga goal of the season in the 96th minute, after Gerard Moreno's brace had inspired their comeback.

    The 22-year-old capped his maiden appearance in the 2021-22 season with a goal for Bordeaux in their Coupe de France thrashing of Les Jumeaux M'Zouasia.

    Maja was among the goals as the Girondins hammered their visitors 10-0 to advance into the next round of the competition.

    He rounded off the emphatic result at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique with a goal in the 77th minute.

    Onuachu scored the opening goal for Genk in their 1-1 draw with Royal Antwerp in Sunday's Belgian First Division A encounter.

    The 27-year-old ended his seven-game goal drought on Wednesday in the Smurfs' 4-2 win over Sporting Charleroi and he continued with another goal on Sunday.

    The Nigeria striker has now scored 12 goals in 18 league appearances this season.

    Kenneth Omeruo

    The Super Eagles centre-back contributed a goal in Leganes' 2-0 win over Malaga on Saturday.

    Omeruo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 51st minute after connecting with Ruben Pardo.

    The effort was the 28-year-old's maiden goal of the season and his first in the Segunda Division since February, when he grabbed the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Almeria.
