Sunderland striker wanted by rivals


According to reports in Scottish media, Sunderland forward Ross Stewart is wanted by north east rivals Middlesbrough.

The Black Cats will at least be glad to hear that Rangers are unlikely to renew their interest in the Scotland international amid talk of a move last summer.
Stewart is in the final year of his contract but Sunderland are said to have an option to extend that by 12 months.

According to reports in Italian media, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Athletic Club star and Spain international Nico Williams.

After Mohammed Kudus scored a brace in Ghana's 3-2 win over South Korea, the Arsenal man took to Twitter to praise the Ajax star.

A number of top clubs are said to be keeping an eye on the 22-year-old and so Gooners may be excited about this Tweet.

However, Nketiah has Ghanaian blood and so it may have simply just been a show of support.

Barca want Gundogan


The Manchester City and Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is reportedly a key transfer target of Barcelona.

That is, at least, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Manchester Evening News) who claim the La Liga outfit see the 32-year-old as a dream option with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

As reported earlier on this blog, there has been some talk that Declan Rice could be off this summer with West Ham ready to sell for the right price.

In more good news for Chelsea fans who want the Englishman amongst their ranks next season, it looks as though they could win the race for his signature with journalist Simon Phillips (via Caught Offside) now reporting as they are currently the most likely destination.

Manchester United are open to recalling youngsters, namely right-back Ethan Laird, in the January transfer window, should they feel they need the reinforcements, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not in Erik ten Hag's plans and should he leave in the upcoming window, United could recall their youngster from QPR, where he has featured regularly this season.

Following on from the earlier rumours that Wolfsburg were set to mutually terminate Max Kruse's contract, the news has now been confirmed on their website.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are set to compete in the transfer market to land AC Milan star Rafael Leao according to journalist Carlo Garganese via GIVEMESPORT.

The journalist said, "Leão’s contract runs out in 2024. Chelsea, they’re still in touch, they’re one of the main clubs, but they’re not the only club that are interested in him. Real Madrid are also interested in him as well."

Milan to open Brahim Diaz talks with Real Madrid


AC Milan want to talk to Real Madrid about Brahim Diaz and negotiate a lower fee for the Spaniard, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia).

Diaz signed for Milan on a two-year deal loan deal that is due to expire in the summer. The loan includes a purchase option set at €22 million, but the Rossoneri are hoping to reduce the price.

Busquets to join Messi at Inter Miami


Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets is set to join former team-mate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami next season, according to Cope.

Busquets is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and is now being touted to head to MLS to play alongside the Argentina international once again.

Messi is reportedly close to agreeing terms with Inter Miami for a free transfer at the same time, but Paris Saint-Germain do have the option to extend his contract by an extra year.
