According to reports in Scottish media, Sunderland forward Ross Stewart is wanted by north east rivals Middlesbrough.

The Black Cats will at least be glad to hear that Rangers are unlikely to renew their interest in the Scotland international amid talk of a move last summer.
Stewart is in the final year of his contract but Sunderland are said to have an option to extend that by 12 months.

According to reports in Italian media, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Athletic Club star and Spain international Nico Williams.

The 20-year-old has got regular game time as a substitute at the World Cup so far and with four goals and four assists at club level this term it's easy to see why he's catching the eye.

The Manchester City and Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is reportedly a key transfer target of Barcelona.

That is, at least, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Manchester Evening News) who claim the La Liga outfit see the 32-year-old as a dream option with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

In more good news for Chelsea fans who want the Englishman amongst their ranks next season, it looks as though they could win the race for his signature with journalist Simon Phillips (via Caught Offside) now reporting as they are currently the most likely destination.

Manchester United are open to recalling youngsters, namely right-back Ethan Laird, in the January transfer window, should they feel they need the reinforcements, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not in Erik ten Hag's plans and should he leave in the upcoming window, United could recall their youngster from QPR, where he has featured regularly this season.

Following on from the earlier rumours that Wolfsburg were set to mutually terminate Max Kruse's contract, the news has now been confirmed on their website.

"In open and honest talks, we came to the agreement that this is the best solution for all involved. We wish Max all the best for the future," said VfL sporting director Marcel Schäfer.

Sergio Busquets' proposed move to Inter Miami looks increasingly likely. Nicolo Schira reports that he is getting closer and closer to joining the club.

The Spaniard would join on a free transfer in July, penning a two-year deal.

AC Milan are set to part ways with Tiemoue Bakayoko and Yacine Adli according to SempreMilan.

The reigning Serie A champions are interested in signing Hakim Ziyech on loan from Chelsea in the next window and in order to facilitate the move they are ready to offload Bakayoko and Adli.

West Ham United star Declan Rice is all set to leave the club next summer for around £70m according to journalist Matt Law via the London is Blue podcast.

Chelsea along with two other Premier League clubs are currently in the race to land the England international next season.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are set to compete in the transfer market to land AC Milan star Rafael Leao according to journalist Carlo Garganese via GIVEMESPORT.

The journalist said, "Leão’s contract runs out in 2024. Chelsea, they’re still in touch, they’re one of the main clubs, but they’re not the only club that are interested in him. Real Madrid are also interested in him as well."

AS Roma are considering making a move for Leicester City defender Cagla Soyuncu in January according to Calciomercato.com.

Liverpool are considering making a move for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol according to Fichajes.

The 20-year-old full-back has been linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs and it will be interesting to see if the Reds pursue their interest and complete his signing.

Real Madrid might make a move to sign RB Leipzig and German international full-back David Raum according to Mundo Deportivo.

The German's current contract with Leipzig runs until 2027 and the Bundesliga side would demand close to €40 million to let him leave for Los Blancos.

Leicester City are planning to make a move for Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai according to Aksam.

Fenerbahce would likely demand €20million to let him go and it will be interesting to see if the Foxes would match that amount and bring him to the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur scouts are reportedly keeping their eyes on Denmark's Andreas Skov Olsen whom the club want to sign in January according to Het Niuewsblad.

The 22-year-old winger, who currently plies his trade at Club Brugge, has scored eight goals in all competitions thus far.

Barcelona reportedly showed interest in signing Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig in 2021 before they opted to rope in Ferran Torres from Manchester City according to Fabrizio Romano via Caughtoffisde.

The journalist wrote in his column, "Dani Olmo is impressing with Spain at the World Cup and I can reveal there was strong interest from Barcelona one year ago, in 2021; but then they invested €55m on Ferran Torres so nothing happened. I think Olmo is a big talent and could be great for Premier League too; but there’s nothing imminent or close as of today."

Chelsea are all set to compete with Manchester United in securing the signing of Denzel Dumfries from Inter according to Gazzetta Dello Sport via Sportwitness.

Inter have reportedly set an asking price of €60 million for the Dutch full-back.

Manchester United had enquired about Christian Pulisic's availability on loan during the summer transfer window according to Fabrizio Romano via Caughtoffside.

The journalist claimed, "Pulisic was already on Man United’s list in the summer, but Chelsea didn’t want to loan him out at that time. His future depends on the proposals, at the moment the situation is still quiet; Arsenal’s priority remains Mudryk for January but it’s still early."

AC Milan want to talk to Real Madrid about Brahim Diaz and negotiate a lower fee for the Spaniard, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia).

Diaz signed for Milan on a two-year deal loan deal that is due to expire in the summer. The loan includes a purchase option set at €22 million, but the Rossoneri are hoping to reduce the price.

Tottenham are eyeing a move for Uruguay and Sporting midfielder Manuel Ugarte, according to O Jogo.

Scouts are hoping to watch Ugarte in action at the World Cup against Portugal on Monday.

RB Leipzig's Konrad Laimer has responded to rumours he has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich.

Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets is set to join former team-mate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami next season, according to Cope.

Busquets is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and is now being touted to head to MLS to play alongside the Argentina international once again.

Messi is reportedly close to agreeing terms with Inter Miami for a free transfer at the same time, but Paris Saint-Germain do have the option to extend his contract by an extra year.
