Commentary

That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed the game and we'll see you for the next one, goodbye!
PSG cannot be caught now, and the Ligue 1 title is theirs once again. Lens' European race is far from over though, and that point moves them level with Nice in sixth. Another win would take them up to third, however the three sides above them now all have a game in hand.
PSG had chance after chance without success in that game, until Messi popped up to fire home the opener. He finished the game with three shots on target and won 60 per cent of his duels. Not quite the reality-defying performance we've become accustomed to with Messi, but an important one that sealed a league title nonetheless.
The full-time whistle goes, and PSG are Ligue 1 champions again! They've secured the title that they surprisingly lost to Lille last season, with four games still to play! PSG did find a breakthrough in the second-half, through the magic of Messi, and arguably should have been out of sight before Jean popped up two minutes from time to equalise for 10-man Lens! Another point aids the visitors in their European push, but it's all PSG needed to confirm their eighth title in ten Ligue 1 seasons!
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 1-1 LENS.
90' + 2' WIDE!!! A ball from deep finds Neymar, who heads it down for Mbappe. He runs onto the ball and fires a venomous shot, that is inches wide of the target! That would've taken the net off!
90' + 1' We're into three minutes of added time to close out this game, with PSG just second away from being confirmed as champions.
Neymar
Yellow Card
PSG
90' Ganago is caught late and high by Neymar, in similar fashion to the second Danso booking, and the victim of that prior foul is booked for being the perpetrator of this one.
D. Machado
Assist
Lens
88' The ball across the box from Machado took Navas, Kimpembe and Marquinhos, three world-class players, out of the equation, and set Jean up to tap home a late equaliser that could secure Lens a valuable point!
C. Jean
Goal
Lens
88' GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!! Lens equalise!!!!!! The men in yellow flood forward after turning over possession in midfield, and Machado's low cross from the left evade all but his fellow substitute Jean, who pops up beyond the far post to tap the ball into an empty net!!! 1-1 won't delay PSG's confirmation of the title, but it's the least that Lens deserve!!!
86' Di Maria is dispossessed by Machado in the Lens box and the visitors streak forward on the counter. Machado runs ahead, but Wooh links up with Fofana who feigns shooting, before teeing up Ganago, and his effort is blocked!
84' Fofana has had three shots, and another one blocked, as well as completing more passes and touches than any other Lens player. The Ivorian has been everywhere for his side, winning 11 of his 14 duels and four fouls in the process.
W. Saïd
F. Sotoca
Lens
82' Sotoca's not had much luck up front, and Lens will hope Wesley Said can have more success in the last 10 or so minutes.
C. Jean
P. Frankowski
Lens
82' Frankowski's another who has impressed for Lens, but he comes off now for Corentin Jean.
Danilo Pereira
I. Gueye
PSG
81' Gueye comes off next for PSG, and is replaced by Danilo Pereira.
80' Haidara picks the ball up and has a go from 40 yards. It's not a bad effort, but is never troubling Navas as it flies over the bar.
79' CHANCE!!! Verratti wins the ball on the ground and plays in Mbappe. He touches it beyond Wooh and tries to race past him, but goes down under pressure from the Lens defender in the box!! The stadium cries for a penalty, but the referee's already waved play on!
Marquinhos
Yellow Card
PSG
78' The referee shows Marquinhos a yellow card, most likely for dissent, as Lens wait to take a throw-in.
Á. Di María
A. Hakimi
PSG
76' Hakimi's the next PSG player to be withdrawn, as Angel Di Maria comes on.
75' WHAT A TACKLE!!! Haidara's pass sends Machado streaking into space down the left. He's bearing down on Navas, but Marquinhos slides in to make a fantastic tackle and deny a certain goalscoring chance!!
M. Verratti
Yellow Card
PSG
73' Verratti has two nibbles at Sotoca before eventually catching him late enough to bring him down, and he is booked by the referee.
D. Machado
J. Clauss
Lens
73' Clauss has impressed down the right, but comes off now for Deiver Machado.
I. Ganago
David Costa
Lens
73' Lens ring the changes as Da Costa comes off for Ignatius Ganago.
72' Fofana picks up the ball on the right and beats challenge after challenge on his way forward. He really has led by example for Lens, just like he did in the first game, where his goal almost gave Lens the three points but for a late PSG equaliser.
70' SAVED!!! Mbappe and Neymar both attempt to pass through the Lens line, but are denied. The latter block comes out to Gueye, who fires a low effort that stings the fingertips of Leca!
Neymar
Assist
PSG
68' It was a rather simple pass from Neymar to Messi, but the Argentine gave himself time and space to release that effort, and what an effort it was. PSG are 20 minutes away from their 10th title.
L. Messi
Goal
PSG
68' GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!!!! There it is!!!!! PSG finally break the deadlock, and it's courtesy of the best player in the world!! Neymar plays it across to Messi in space, and he curls an absolute beauty of an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box, to put PSG 1-0 up! Lens have to score twice now, otherwise the Ligue 1 title is PSG's!
66' OVER!!! What a miss!!! The best chance of the game falls to Ramos in the centre of the box, after Messi sends Mbappe down the right byline. He cuts it back to the unmarked Ramos, but the defender blazes it miles over the bar from eight yards out!
65' PSG are unbeaten in their last 19 Ligue 1 home games, scoring 50 goals in this spell. This is the best ongoing run in the division. Similarly, PSG have won their last eight home games in the top-flight, again the best ongoing such run.
63' WIDE!!! Neymar puts Mendes into space, and the left-back tries his luck, smashing a well driven effort into the side netting of Leca's goal!
62' CHANCE!! Frankowski plays in Da Costa down the left, but a slight nick from Hakimi takes the return ball away from his feet and he can't control it! If he'd got a shot away there, Lens could've taken an unlikely lead here.
M. Haïdara
A. Kalimuendo-Muinga
Lens
61' Lens' PSG loanee Kalimuendo comes off, and Massadio Haidara will replace him in the visitors' first substitution.
60' PSG have already had three shots on target in this half, more than they had in all of the first (two). They're getting closer, and with Lens now down to 10, the floodgates may soon be about to open in Paris.
58' SAVED!!! Messi steps up and strikes the free-kick, and it's a curling effort that's heading for goal, before it's palmed behind by Leca!
57' RED CARD!!! Danso recklessly slides into Neymar, and rightfully receives a yellow card, his second of the game!!! He's off, and despite his protests there's no doubt that was a bookable offence, and Lens are down to 10 men!
56' Lens counter and Clauss plays Sotoca through on the right. He looks to shoot on a tight angle, but it's straight into the waiting arms of Navas.
Sergio Ramos
Yellow Card
PSG
54' Fofana looks to turn away from Kimpembe but is cynically dragged down, then Ramos arrives and boots the ball straight into Fofana's midriff on the ground! A yellow card for Ramos, and he can't really complain there!
53' OFF THE LINE!!! With Neymar down, Verratti takes the free-kick quickly and puts Mbappe through on goal. His first effort is parried by Leca, and Wooh is there to block his rebound on the goal-line!
52' Frankowski wins the ball from Hakimi and sets Lens off on a counter-attack. It eventually comes back to him via Doucoure, but his clipped ball in behind is picked up by Navas before Sotoca can get to it.
51' Lens deal with a fast PSG break but a woeful pass from Leca is intercepted by Neymar. Luckily, Doucoure recovers to dispossess the Brazilian and save his goalkeeper's blushes.
50' Sotoca tries his luck from a good 30 yards, but a slight deflection off the knee of Kimpembe sends it behind for a corner.
49' Clauss crosses from the right but Ramos heads it away, but only back to the Lens wing-back, whose second attempt is blocked by Verratti and goes behind for a corner.
47' Neymar is caught late by Wooh and goes down, winning an early free-kick on halfway.
46' We're back up and running for the second half as Neymar kicks off for PSG.
The teams head back out for the second half, and as it stands, PSG are Ligue 1 champions!
Mbappe kept hitting blanks in the first half, with all of his four shots missing the target. He also completed a cross and a key pass, but the France forward will be hoping he can improve on his finishing in the second half to test, and of course, beat Leca.
What a half of football! That had everything, except goals, but these two sides must surely break the deadlock before long. PSG, particularly through Mbappe and Hakimi's runs in-behind, have threatened throughout, however Leca in the Lens goal hasn't had to make many difficult saves! At the other end, Fofana has gone close a few times, and Lens look just as capable of scoring as PSG, and may well delay their title party!
45' HALF-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 0-0 LENS.
45' PSG build well on the edge of the Lens box, but Verratti's one-two with Hakimi sees him robbed of the return ball and Doucoure comes up with it.
44' Mbappe's reverse ball over the top almost puts Hakimi through on goal, but he can't touch it beyond Gradit and the Lens defender deals with the threat.
42' OVER!!! Hakimi is dispossessed by Kalimuendo, who plays in Fofana. He has another go from the edge of the box, curling a wild shot beyond Navas but just over the top of the bar! He's so, so dangerous when in range, the Lens captain!
40' SAVED!!!! Lens come forward in numbers and Fofana holds it up on the edge of the box before feeding Frankowski. He tees up Clauss, whose low drive looks promising but is straight at Navas!
39' OVER!!! Mbappe's causing Danso trouble again, beating the defender around the outside and firing over from a tight angle!
37' Mbappe is just one goal away from matching Pauleta's 130 to become the joint-second highest scorer in Ligue 1 in the 21st century. Across all competitions, the Paris striker has been directly involved in 51 goals this season (33 goals, 18 assists) and is just three involvements away from equalling his seasonal best (54 in 2018/19).
35' Messi's delightful ball into space has Hakimi searing onto at speed, but out comes Leca to deal with the danger and smash the ball into touch.
33' SAVED!!! Kalimuendo latches onto a loose ball and runs straight at Ramos. He's not tackled, so goes on, and fires a low shot into the corner that Navas saves with ease!
32' OVER!!! Neymar flicks it over the top for Mbappe to chase, and the Frenchman sprints onto the ball, chipping over the top of Leca but beating the crossbar too!
31' SAVED!!! Messi is played in by Verratti, and beats Wooh around the outside before smashing a ball across goal that Leca has to parry away!
30' PSG flood forward again, and Neymar lays it off to Marquinhos on a late run. The Paris captain shoots on his left foot, but Danso blocks the effort with his head!
29' Mbappe beats player after player, with Lens defenders just chasing his shadow. He plays it back for Verratti inside the box, but his curling ball for Hakimi at the back post goes behind for a goal kick.
28' Lens recover possession and attack at speed. Clauss flashes a low cross in from the right, and a Ramos deflection forces Navas into a diving save to prevent a corner!
26' SAVED!!!! Gueye's ball over the top puts Hakimi sprinting into acres of space. He's bearing down on goal and looks to lift it over the advancing Leca, but it hits the Lens keeper flush in the face and goes behind for a corner!!!
24' WIDE!!!! The PSG front three link up as Messi jinks out of a challenge, before having a right-footed shot blocked. It falls to Mbappe, who flicks it onto Neymar, and his first-time finish flashes the ball a yard wide of the post!!
24' CHANCE!!! Marquinhos chips the ball into the box for Mbappe, who flicks it over Danso but can't get his shot away properly, and Leca dives out of his goal to claim the ball!
23' Mbappe evades the Lens midfield and taps the ball forward for himself to sprint onto. He's sprinting alright, and looks like he might get there, but a sliding Danso sends the ball flying away for a PSG throw.
22' After winning a free-kick by the near-side corner flag, Clauss smashes it curling across the face of goal, but it's too difficult for Frankowski to control and goes out for a goal-kick.
20' BLOCKED!!! Lens again work the ball well from the left as Frankowski sets up Doucoure. He lays it off to Fofana, whose shot from the edge of the box is sent over the bar and behind via a Ramos block!
19' PSG play dangerously close to their own goal as Hakimi gives Verratti one hell of a hospital pass. He's under pressure from Fofana straight away, but the Lens captain does eventually foul the Italian to concede a free-kick.
18' Remember, if PSG at least draw or Marseille do not win, they will be crowned French champions for the 10th time, and would equal St Etienne as the most successful club in the history of Ligue 1. The last time PSG were crowned champions with four games or fewer to go was in 2014/15, on matchday 37.
16' OVER!!!! A deep Lens free-kick is swung into the box, and Danso is free at the back post. He heads it down, beating Navas, but the ball bounces up and over the top of the crossbar!
14' Frankowski and Sotoca link up to play a long throughball forward for Kalimuendo to chase, but Ramos shepherds it back to Navas in the PSG goal.
13' Clauss chests the ball down in-field and steams forward with it, but can't take the return pass from a one-two with Da Costa, and loses possession.
12' Lens have not won away from home against a side top of Ligue 1 since March 1998 at Metz, playing out two draws and losing eight times since.
10' Neymar whips a dangerous ball into the box from the free-kick, but Ramos fouls Gradit as he runs onto the ball and the free-kick is given against him.
K. Danso
Yellow Card
Lens
9' PSG take a quick throw with Clauss on the ground and Neymar races onto it. He looks to touch it inside, but Danso holds him back and is booked for the foul.
8' A wide diagonal ball to Clauss is misjudged by the wing-back, who does his best to keep it in despite being out of play himself!
7' OVER!!! Lens work the ball well, from right to left, and after being given it back in space by Da Costa, Fofana shoots from 25 yards, sending a fizzing, dipping effort just inches over the bar!!
6' Wooh looks to turn and run away from Messi but has his heels clipped by the Argentine, winning a free-kick.
4' PSG have won just one of their three Ligue 1 matches against Lens since they returned to the top-flight last season, winning 2-1 in May 2021 in the only meeting in this time played at Parc des Princes.
2' Messi tries to play a throughball into the box for Mendes to race onto, but it's blocked. Mbappe picks it up and shoots from distance, but sends the ball skyward and away from goal.
1' Kalimuendo kicks off for Lens, and we are under way in Paris!
The teams head out into a party atmosphere at the Parc des Princes, with this crowd hopeful Mauricio Pochettino's men can finish the job in the next 90 minutes!
Lens are on a three-match winning run of their own, with Arnaud Kalimuendo scoring three across these games. Along with captain Seko Fofana, who scored in the reverse fixture, the on-loan PSG forward will be hoping to spoil his parent club's party in Paris.
PSG’s current four-match winning streak has featured seven goals from Kylian Mbappe, with the Ligue 1 top scorer netting in each game. He, Neymar and Messi all start up front in this one, with Les Parisiens looking to seal the title.
