Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Hungary are next in action against England on Tuesday at Molineux, while Germany host Italy at Borussia-Park on the same day.
Hungary and Germany play out a 1-1 draw in their Nations League Group A3 clash at the Puskas Arena. Zsolt Nagy fired the home side ahead in the sixth minute, but Jonas Hofmann responded soon after with his second goal in two matches for Die Mannschaft. Both teams had opportunities in the second half as Hofmann spurned the best by opting not to go for goal, while Martin Adam missed two close-range headers. As a result, the draw was the fair result between the two sides.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: HUNGARY 1-1 GERMANY
90' + 4' OVER! Adeyemi collects in the Hungary box in the inside-right channel. He has space and time, but lifts his left-footed strike on the half-volley well over the bar.
90' + 1' Kimmich floats the resulting free-kick into the box, but Orban gets the first header away from danger before the home side scramble the loose ball away.
90' There will be five minutes of added time.
M. Ádám
Yellow Card
90' Adam goes into the book for dissent in his appeal against the free-kick decision.
90' Brandt goes down under a challenge from Gazdag and wins a free-kick in a threatening position for the visitors.
88' Germany appear to be out of ideas in the final third. Die Mannschaft have been far from their best this evening.
B. Vécsei
C. Styles
87' Styles has played well today in the middle of the park. He is now withdrawn for Vecsei.
P. Gulácsi
Yellow Card
86' Gulacsi goes into the book for time-wasting. A sign that perhaps Hungary are happy with a point.
L. Nmecha
J. Hofmann
85' Hofmann scored the equaliser for Germany, but he could have had a second. Nmecha now replaces the wing-back.
K. Adeyemi
K. Havertz
85' Adeyemi enters the action for Havertz in the final third after a quiet evening for the forward.
84' Space is starting to open up in the game as we enter the closing minutes. The home side are looking more likely to snatch a winner.
82' CHANCE! Nego floats a dangerous cross into the box from the right flank for Adam to attack, but he cannot make clean contact with his header and it bounces safely into the hands of Neuer.
81' SAVE! Gazdag breaks on the counter from Nagy's ball over the top and he launches a powerful strike at goal from 20 yards. It soars straight at Neuer, but the power on the effort forces the keeper to turn it over the bar.
80' Nagy floats a ball over the top for the run of Adam, but Neuer is out and off his line to gather ahead of the forward.
T. Müller
T. Werner
78' Werner is withdrawn after another ineffective display and is replaced by Muller.
J. Brandt
J. Musiala
78' Flick looks to freshen up his team in the final third as Brandt replaces Musiala.
D. Gazdag
R. Sallai
76' Gazdag replaces Sallai for the home side, with the forward putting in a good shift today.
75' SAVE! Hungary work a short corner and Sallai feeds Szoboszlai, who curls a cross into the box. Adam latches on to the delivery and is unmarked six yards out, but he can only glance a tame effort straight at Neuer.
74' CHANCE! Sallai pounces on poor backpass from Kehrer in the inside-left channel. He goes for goal from a tight angle, but his effort deflects off the legs of Neuer and behind for a corner.
72' WHAT IS HOFMANN DOING? Havertz releases Hofmann through on goal and he only has Gulacsi to beat, but the wing-back opts for a pass to Werner. He fails to see that Orban has tracked the run of the forward and he makes the interception to clear it behind for a corner. Hofmann should have gone for goal there.
L. Négo
Z. Nagy
70' The goalscorer makes way for Hungary as Nagy is replaced by Nego.
M. Ádám
Á. Szalai
69' Adam makes his way on to the field to replace Szalai in the final third.

66' Werner has space down the right flank, but he cannot force the ball past Atilla Szalai, who diverts his cross away from danger for the home side.
63' Germany are not clicking in the final third. Musiala probes down the left flank and tries to release Raum, but the wing-back is caught offside moving too early to collect the offload.
60' Raum brings down Adam Szalai with a loose challenge and avoids a booking. The referee is lenient with the Germany wing-back as similar challenges earned yellow cards in the first half.
58' Hofmann and Zsolt Nagy battle down the Hungary left flank, but the German wins the duel by earning a free-kick for his team. The two goalscorers are enjoying a good tussle.
56' The second half has yet to come to life. Both teams are sitting in their shape, with Germany enjoying the majority of possession.
53' Szoboszlai has space on the right flank and tries to angle a cross to the back post for Zsolt Nagy, but Kehrer reads the danger and nods the ball back to Neuer.
51' Hungary have come out of the traps slowly in the second half. Flick seems to have generated a response from his team at the interval.
48' Germany win a second corner down the right flank that Kimmich sends into the box, but Schlotterbeck can only send a tame header at goal that Gulacsi collects.
46' Germany probe down the right flank through Hofmann, but his low cross into the box is cleared behind by Zsolt Nagy.
46' We're back under way in this Nations League clash.
Marco Rossi will be very pleased with his side's performance at the break. Other than a couple of half-chances for Germany they've limited their threat, while looking dangerous on the break. Hansi Flick will be looking for more from his team in the final third, especially Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
It's all square at the break between Hungary and Germany in their Nations League Group A3 clash at Puskas Arena. Zsolt Nagy put the home side ahead with a blast from close range, but Die Mannschaft responded through Jonas Hofmann, who scored with a good run and finish. Hungary could have restored their advantage before the interval, but Manuel Neuer was on point to deny Atilla Fiola. The game remains in the balance heading into the second half.
45' HALF-TIME: HUNGARY 1-1 GERMANY
44' WHAT A SAVE! Neuer denies Fiola with a fine stop. The wing-back latches on to a header from Sallai at the back post and he drills a low strike towards goal. It appears to be heading towards the bottom-left corner until Neuer sticks out a leg to divert it away from goal. A great reaction stop.
43' OVER! Goretzka releases Werner with an incisive throughball into the inside-right channel and the forward has space to fire at goal on his right foot, only to blaze his effort over the bar.
43' Sallai has space to run at Schlotterbeck, who has to be careful having been booked. However, the defender does well to dispossess the forward with a fine challenge.
41' Zsolt Nagy and Fiola both waste decent positions to send crosses into the box for the home side. Both wing-backs fail to beat the first Germany defender with their respective deliveries.
40' CLOSE! Musiala weaves his way into the inside-left channel before being forced backwards by Orban. He works an offload to Raum, who cuts inside and curls a strike towards goal on his right foot that travels inches past the post.
37' OVER! Szoboszlai lines up a blast from 30 yards from the resulting free-kick, but his effort takes a deflection off Werner and sails comfortably over the bar.
N. Schlotterbeck
Yellow Card
36' Schlotterbeck brings down Sallai as the forward breaks past his initial challenge. The defender goes into the book and hands Hungary a free-kick in a useful position.
32' Hungary look for another early ball over the top for Fiola to chase. This time he cannot keep it in amid pressure from Schlotterbeck, who takes a knock from the wing-back in the process.
31' The home side find space on the counter as Sallai sends Zsolt Nagy down the left flank, but his cross is blocked by Kehrer to quell the threat.
29' Havertz clips a strike over the top from a cutback from Werner, but it would not have counted away as the latter was offside from Goretzka's initial throughball.
27' Fiola is played into space down the right flank and he turns Raum inside and out, but Neuer does well to gather the eventual low cross from the wing-back into the six-yard box.
24' Fiola puts Raum and Schlotterbeck under pressure with his physical presence on the edge of the Germany box. He gets the better of Raum, but Schlotterbeck just gets back in time to cover and clear into touch.
22' Szoboszlai wins a challenge against Kehrer and releases Sallai into space on the counter. The forward drives into the box and tries to fire at goal, but he sees his effort blocked by Schlotterbeck.
22' Sule clips a cross into the path of Werner in the Hungary box, and although he wins the first header, Orban gets across to win the second and clear the danger for the hosts.
19' WIDE! Raum lifts a dangerous cross into the box from the left flank from a free-kick, but Havertz can only glance his header wide of the target from six yards out.
R. Sallai
Yellow Card
17' Sallai catches Musiala with a late boot and goes into the book for his challenge. Germany have a free-kick in a useful position.
16' Hungary are being pushed back into their own half by the visitors, who are starting to establish control of possession.
13' It has been an open start to the contest, and both teams have been caught by long balls over the top. Both managers may just been issuing caution after early defensive mistakes.
11' Hofmann has scored in back-to-back matches for the Die Mannschaft.
N. Schlotterbeck
Assist
9' Schlotterbeck floats a perfect ball over the top for Hofmann to collect and score.
J. Hofmann
Goal
9' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! HOFMANN RESPONDS FOR GERMANY!!!!! 1-1!!!!!! A simple ball over the top catches out Hungary and Hofmann collect before rounding Gulacsi and converting the opening. Schlotterbeck launches a long ball forward for Hofmann in space behind the Hungary defence and he takes a neat touch around the onrushing Gulacsi before rolling a left-footed strike into the net.
8' Hungary have avoided defeat in their last seven matches when scoring the opening goal in the Nations League dating back to 11th September 2018 against Greece.
Z. Nagy
Goal
6' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! NAGY BLASTS HUNGARY AHEAD!!!! 1-0!!! What a start for the home side as Zsolt Nagy fires a powerful strike into the roof of the net. Fiola breaks down the right flank latching to a ball over the top, and he hooks a dangerous cross into the middle. Sallai latches on to the cross to head at goal, but Neuer palms away his effort. However, Zsolt is first to the rebound and hammers his attempt high past Neuer before the keeper can react. A super strike.
4' Germany are attempting to work the ball around their own half to look for space in the early stages of the game.
2' Hofmann tries to send Werner down the right flank, but he trips his former RB Leipzig team-mate, Orban, and gives away a free-kick.
1' Hungary get this Nations League contest under way.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be under way shortly.

Germany drew 1-1 for successive matches after failing to hold out against England in Munich. Die Mannschaft took the lead through Jonas Hoffmann, but Harry Kane's late strike from the penalty spot denied Hansi Flick's men the three points. A killer instinct has been lacking from Germany of late, drawing their last three matches against quality opposition. Hungary proved that they are a strong outfit and will be determined to take another scalp tonight, so Flick and his team have to be at their best.
Hungary secured a huge result over England in their first game of their Nations League campaign, defeating the Three Lions 1-0 at the Puskas Arena. However, they took a step back last time out against Italy, suffering a 2-1 loss on the road to the Azzurri. The tough matches keep coming for Hungary against Germany tonight, who will be anxious to get their first win on the board.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Nations League clash between Hungary and Germany at the Puskas Arena.
