Orlando Pirates play their fourth Caf Confederation Cup Group B match when they welcome Royal Leopards at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.

The Soweto giants will be seeking to recover from Wednesday's Nedbank Cup exit at the hands of Marumo Gallants.

After a 6-0 win in the Confederation Cup reverse fixture against the same side two weeks ago, the Pirates coaches would want to select a team that would give them another convincing win.

Attacker Thembinkosi Lorch is doubtful for this match due to injury.

GOAL predicts how Pirates could line up on Sunday.

  • Richard Ofori, Orlando Pirates, November 2020

    GOALKEEPER - Richard Ofori

The Ghana international goalkeeper has returned from a long-term injury when he guarded goal against Marumo Gallants on Wednesday.

He took over from Siyabonga Mphontshane and started his first match since September.

  • Bandile Shandu Orlando Pirates

    RIGHT-BACK - Bandile Shandu

The former Maritzburg United star will be buoyed by his recent Bafana Bafana call-up in what was recognition for his fine form.

Shandu is Pirates' Man of the Moment and the Caf Confederation Cup top-scorer with four goals.

  • Paseka Mako, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    LEFT-BACK - Paseka Mako

The diminutive defender has been keeping Innocent Maela out of the starting team this season and is expected to continue on the left side of defence.

  • Olisa Ndah, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    CENTRE-BACK - Olisa Ndah

The Nigeria international has been rock solid at the back for Pirates in 21 matches he has featured in across all competitions.

  • Happy Jele & Thabang Monare, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    CENTRE-BACK - Happy Jele

The Pirates captain will be hoping to continue with his good combination with Ndah at the heart of the defence if selected to play.

Jele grabbed a goal when Pirates beat Leopards 6-0. He has three goals in this competition this season and can come further upfield when the forwards find it tough upfront.

  • Thabang Monare, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Thabang Monare

Monare will be bubbling with confidence following his return to the Bafana Bafana fold.

That coach Hugo Broos called 32-year-old Monare in his youthful side is a huge vote of confidence which will spur the midfielder going into Sunday's match.

  • Goodman Mosele, Orlando Pirates, September 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Goodman Mosele

Another player who returns to the Bafana set-up, Mosele will be keen to justify that he is an international player who deserves to be a regular national.

  • Zakhele Lepasa, Orlando Pirates, October 2020

    RIGHT MIDFIELDER - Zakhele Lepasa

With Lorch a big doubt for this match, Lepasa could start his second successive game.

Lepasa is, however, yet to hit his best form since returning from injury but Pirates coaches appear to have so much faith in him as shown in recent games.

  • Deon Hotto, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    LEFT MIDFIELDER - Deon Hotto

The Namibian attacker provided three assists when Pirates beat Leopards 6-0 two weeks ago.

He will be hoping to continue with that form and probably contribute a goal or two on Sunday.

  • Kabelo Dlamini, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

Dlamini has been a starter in Pirates' last four games and he scored one of the goals in the heavy win over Leopards in Nelspruit.

  • Kwame Peprah, Orlando Pirates, December 2021

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Kwame Peprah

The Ghanian has settled at Pirates and is slowly establishing himself into a reliable goal scorer with six goals in all competitions so far.

He was on target in the reverse match against Leopards in what was his first Confederation Cup goal.
