Cristiano Ronaldo has asked to be allowed to depart Manchester United if the Premier League club are handed an acceptable offer this summer, claims The Times.
The veteran Portuguese endured a tough homecoming at the Red Devils last year, and still has a year left on his deal.
But with no Champions League football, he wishes to move onwards as he continues towards the end of his career - though whether any acceptable suitors would come knocking is another matter entirely.
