WHAT HAPPENED? During the warm up for Sunday's Premier League fixture against Forest, the Arsenal squad displayed up a shirt of loanee Pablo Mari, who was stabbed near Milan on Thursday. Gabriel Martinelli then opened the scoring for the Gunners, who celebrated by holding the same shirt aloft to the jubilant home crowd.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Arsenal and Martinelli's gesture comes just days after Mari, currently on loan to Monza, was one of six people stabbed in the Milanofiori di Assago shopping centre. The defender has since spoken out on the incident, stating that he is well and considers himself lucky not to have been killed.
