Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Chelsea leapfrog Milan in Group E to move into second place while the Italians drop to third. Chelsea host Wolves in the Premier League and Milan play Juventus in Serie A before the reverse fixture next week.
Chelsea started the game on the back foot with Milan doing much of the attacking, but it was the hosts who took the lead. Silva began piling the pressure on the Milan defence after winning multiple headers from corners before Fofana scored from a rebound after Tatarusanu parried the ball in the box. Chelsea were in control of the game after taking the lead and played with a lot more confidence following the goal. Aubameyang scored his first goal in the Champions League since the 2017/18 season as he tapped home James' cross in the 56th minute. James then got a goal of his own to make it 3-0 as he finished brilliantly at the near post to secure all three points for Chelsea.

46' Giroud gets the second half underway for Milan!
Chelsea will be pleased to enter the break ahead but know that their one goal is probably not enough to win this game. Leao has looked the most lively for Milan and is getting the better of James on most occasions. He will be essential for Milan if they want to get a result in this game.
