Fans in Africa feel Manchester United’s inability to sign Cody Gakpo vindicates Cristiano Ronaldo after he claimed the club is poorly run.

The Portugal captain left United last month after ripping into the club over how they have been left behind by their rivals due to poor management and lack of modern structures while also hitting out at manager Erik ten Hag.

With Liverpool sealing the transfer of Dutch forward Gakpo, who had been heavily linked with United, the supporters feel the deal has laid bare some of the issues that Ronaldo highlighted.
