Kewuti, Mabena, Jooste and all confirmed PSL done deals in January transfer window

Several PSL clubs have signed new players ahead of the resumption of the Premier Soccer League.

The South African summer transfer window will take centre stage next month and there are clubs that have already signed new players. 
GOAL looks at the PSL clubs that have already conducted some business by adding new players to their squads and confirmed their deals.

  • Given Mashikinya, Maritzburg United, October 2022

    Sekhukhune United

    Babina Noko snapped up Given Mashikinya after he was released by Maritzburg United last month.

    The left-footed midfielder had only joined United from Royal AM in July this year and he has since found a new home at Sekhukhune.

  • Junior Dion, Marumo Gallants, September 2022

    AmaZulu FC

    The KwaZulu-Natal giants have beefed up their striking department with the signing of Junior Sere Dion.

    The Ivorian frontman has joined AmaZulu from Marumo Gallants where he spent one-and-a-half-years.

  • Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo, Marumo Gallants, September 2022

    Golden Arrows

    Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo signed for Abafana Bes'thende two months ago shortly after his contract with Marumo Gallants was terminated by mutual consent.
    The defender spent one-and-a-half-seasons with Gallants before leaving the Limpopo side following coach Dan Malesela's return to the club.

    Richards Bay

    The Natal Rich Boys reinforced their squad with the signing of Ovella Ochieng who was once on the books of Gallants.
    The Kenya international is back in the PSL after parting ways with Botswana giants Township Rollers. 

  • Wayde Jooste of Orlando Pirates.

    Maritzburg United

    The Team of Choice have signed experienced right-back Wayde Jooste.

    The 31-year-old had been a free agent since July this year when he was released by Orlando Pirates.

    He had unsuccessful trials at SuperSport United before joining Maritzburg.

  • Bertrand Junior Mani Cape Town City seal signing of Cameroon midfielder.

    Cape Town City

    The Citizens have been busy reinforcing their squad by signing Bertrand Junior Mani, Lorenzo Gordinho and Juan Camilo Zapata. 
    Mani and Gordinho were snapped up from Cameroonian club Colombe Sportive and HB Koge of Denmark respectively. 
    While Zapata joined City from Venezuela Primera Division outfit CD Hermanos Colmenarez.

  • Ndumiso Mabena Orlando Pirates.

    Orlando Pirates

    The Buccaneers have signed Craig Marton and Ndumiso Mabena. The club purchased Craig Martin from Cape Town City two weeks ago. 
    Ndumiso Mabena rejoined the Soweto giants after a successful trial stint having parted ways with Royal AM just before the last transfer window closed in September this year. 

  • Zukile Kewuti, Cape Town City, April 2019

    SuperSport United

    Matsatsantsa have signed Zukile Kewuti on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

    The 27-year-old previously played for Cape Town City, AmaZulu and recently Maritzburg United.a
