WHAT HAPPENED? Raphael Varane captains a side that sees a welcome return for Lisandro Martinez after injury and features Amad Diallo in a United shirt for the first time in two years after returning from a successful loan spell at Sunderland.

Despite being named in the travelling squad, Brazilian midfielder Fred does not feature at all, amid speculation surrounding a move to Fulham. However, United seemingly denied that was the reason for his absence in a statement before kick-off, saying: "Fred's omission is purely a precaution and because he is managing his workload, after returning for training at Carrington last week."
