Serbia World Cup 2022 squad: Who's in and who's out?

Predrag Rajkovic and Marko Dmitrovic are the most experienced options between the sticks, with Vanja Milinkovic-Savic also having featured a number of times recently.

The likes of Stefan Mitrovic, Milos Veljkovic and Filip Mladenovic are trusted lieutenants of Strojkovic with Filip Mladenovic, Nikola Milenkovic and Srdan Babic also representing reliable options at the back.

Strahinja Pavlovic is still young, but has already shown that he has what it takes to lead the way at the highest level, too.

There are plenty of different options in midfield as well.

There's the experienced Andrija Zivkovic offering a creative spark in the more attacking roles, or Nemanja Gudelj or Nemanja Maksimovic providing defensive cover.

Ivan Ilic is a youngster who will be looking to impress as well.

Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic and Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic are the first two names that stand out in the final third.

Fiorentina's Luka Jovic has not quite hit the heights expected of him but remains a lethal finisher on his day.

Serbia are likely to line up at the back with Milenkovic, Veljkovic and Pavlovic as part of a three-man defence in front of Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

With Zivkovic and Kostic on the wings, the drive from the middle will be provided by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Lukic.

Captain Tadic will slot in behind the front pairing of Mitrovic and Vlahovic.
