A first half brace by Monnapule Saleng earned Orlando Pirates a 2-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows at Princess Magogo Stadium on Tuesday night.
Saleng was not the only Bucs player who caught the eye on the night as the Soweto giants climbed up to the fourth spot on the PSL standings after defeating Abafana Bes'thende.

Monyane was brilliant with the ball at his feet throughout the match. He ventured forward a few times and often provided quality crosses when called upon.
Wasn't as tenacious as he usually is.
Hotto clearly struggled to assert his presence in the final third. However, he did his job at the back as he helped his side keep a clean sheet.
Looked assured in possession.
Ndah helped Pirates with their build-up play. He was a calm and composed presence at the back for the Buccaneers, helping them earn a hard-fought clean sheet.
Had a brilliant game against his former side.
Sibisi showcased astute positional awareness and kept the Arrows attackers at bay throughout the game.
Not seriously tested.
Arrows launched most of their attacks in the right flank without really testing Maela, but the Pirates captain showed good leadership and he organized the defence.
Put in a decent performance for Bucs.
Timm was all over the pitch trying to win and recycle the ball back for the visitors. However, he looked tired after the restart and he was substituted.
Eye-catching performance.
Ndlondlo made some good driving runs upfield and showcased good link-up play. He also tracked back to help his side defend.
Full of running but he couldn't make an impact. Dlamini struggled to get involved in the game to a certain degree which led to his substitution just before the hour mark.
Best performance as a Buccaneer. Saleng was a menace throughout the game, making life tough for Arrows' backline. He scored two well-taken goals and he was named Man of the Match.
Great display. Erasmus was direct with the ball and often looked to create openings against Arrows' defence. His combination play was brilliant which saw him grab two assists.
Came on in the 59th minute and he struggled to get to the pace of the game and failed to break a couple of Arrows attacks.
Started with a few forward passes when he came on in the 59th minute, but was surprisingly uninvolved and quiet for most of his time on the pitch.
Looked solid defensively when came on in the 66th minute and he also made some promising overlapping runs.
Introduced around the same time as Mako but was barely involved.
Couldn't make an impact as he came on in the 90th minute.
