Ashley du Preez, Kaizer Chiefs, October 2022
Amakhosi are now winless in their last two matches after dropping points against the Rockets at FNB Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs had to fight back to hold TS Galaxy to a 2-2 draw in Wednesday's Premier Soccer League clash.
Ashley du Preez broke the deadlock, but the Rockets took the lead after scoring twice, but Keagan Dolly grabbed a late equalizing goal to earn Amakhosi a point.
GOAL rates the performances of the Chiefs players.

  • Bruce Bvuma of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Bruce Bvuma - 5.5/10

    Failed to command his area.

Bvuma struggled with aerial balls and he should have done better when Djakaridja Traore scored. However, he did make two fine saves throughout the game.

  • Reeve Frosler of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Reeve Frosler - 6/10

Started slowly with Tshegofatso Nyama keeping him busy.

Frosler improved gradually as he silenced Nyama and he was also able to push forward into the Rockets' half where combined well with his teammates.

  • Sifiso Hlanti of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Sifiso Hlanti - 5.5/10

    Not at his best.

Hlanti struggled to make any notable impact either side of the field, but his aerial prowess was important when Chiefs were defending set-pieces.

  • Zitha Kwinika, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2022

    Zitha Kwinika - 7/10

    Good outing.

Kwinika was Chiefs' best defender as he was spectacular in defence, positioning himself in the right areas which saw him make vital interceptions, blocks and clearances.

  • Edmilson Dove, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2022

    Edmison Dove - 5.5/10

    Positioning was suspect.

Dove failed to keep track of Traore who scored after he outjumped the Chiefs defender. However, Dove's passing was good as he initiated some of Amakhosi's attacks.

  • Njabulo Blom of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Njabulo Blom - 6.5/10

Solid in central midfield for the hosts.

Blom was a good protective cover for the back-four - sticking to the basics by winning back possession and playing some accurate passes.

  • Yusuf Maart of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Yusuf Maart - 6/10

    Played well alongside Blom.

The duo controlled the midfield as they complemented each other - forcing Galaxy to attack down the wings. Maart's passing gave Chiefs some much-needed control.

  • Lehlogonolo Matlou of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Lehlogonolo Matou - 6.5/10

Tried to impress after being handed a rare start.

Matlou was brilliant when Amakhosi were attacking and he provided the assist for Du Preez when Chiefs the deadlock. However, he was a liability when Chiefs were defending.

  • Keagan Dolly of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Keagan Dolly - 7/10

    His movement was excellent.

Dolly was the heartbeat of this Chiefs side in attack - combining well with his teammates to open up Galaxy's backline and he took his goal well when he equalised.

  • Ashley Du Preez of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Ashley du Preez - 7.5/10

Much has been said about his poor finishing.

However, Du Preez showed good composure when he handed Amakhosi the lead and he remained a thorn in the side of the Rockets' shaky defence.

  • Khama Billiat of Kaizer Chiefs.

    Khama Billiat - 5.5/10

A quiet display after making his return to the team.

This could be put down to playing down the middle as opposed to as a winger with Galaxy able to neutralize him most of the time. But he managed to provide an assist for Dolly's goal.

  • Kgaogelo Sekgota, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2022

    Kgaogelo Sekgota - 6/10

Used his pace and ability to run in behind the defence to torment the visitors' defenders after coming on in the 62nd minute and he is expected to start against AmaZulu FC on Sunday.

  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2022

    Nkosingiphile Ngcobo - N/A

Came on in the 83rd minute and did not do enough to warrant a rating.

  • Dillon Solomons Kaizer Chiefs

    Dillan Solomons - N/A

Introduced at the same time as Ngcobo.
