The Indomitable Lions will wind up their Group A matches with a contest against the Blue Sharks at Paul Biya Stadium in Yaounde

Cameroon will take on Cape Verde in their final Group A fixture of the Africa Cup of Nations at Omnisport Paul Biya Stadium in Yaounde on Monday.

The Indomitable Lions have already booked their place in the Round of 16 of the 33rd edition after winning their first two matches – 2-1 against Burkina Faso and 4-1 against Ethiopia - and as such, they will seek to end the group with a win against the Blue Sharks.

Below, GOAL predicts how coach Toni Conceicao will likely line up his troops.

  • Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana clears during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Afcon.

    GOALKEEPER - Andre Onana

Despite conceding yet again against Ethiopia in their second group match, the 25-year-old remains the best option for the Indomitable Lions and he will likely keep his position for the third match in a row.

  • Collins Fai of Cameroon.

    RIGHT-BACK - Collins Fai

The 29-year-old right-back, who features for Standard Liege, put up a solid display against the Walia Ibex and he is a sure bet to face the Blue Sharks.

  • Amanuael Gebremichael Aregawi of Ethiopia challenged by Tolo Nouhou of Cameroon.

    LEFT-BACK - Nouhou Tolo

The left-back, who features for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer, has been a revelation since replacing Ambroise Oyongo and his performances in the opening two matches give him a clear nod to continue in his role.

  • Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui Cameroon

    CENTRE-BACK - Michael Ngadeu

The Genk man has been a regular under the Portuguese tactician, his defensive tactics are always spot on and he also has a good understanding with keeper Onana.

  • Jean Castelletto of Cameroon during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

    CENTRE-BACK - Jean-Charles Castelletto

The 26-year-old, who turns out for French Ligue 1 side Nantes, put up a good show alongside Ngadeu in the win against Ethiopia and he will likely continue with the role.

  • Martin Hongla of Cameroon on the attack during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Afcon.

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Martin Hongla

The 23-year-old Royal Antwerp FC star would be eager to do more in terms of attack and creating chances than he did against Ethiopia in the 4-1 win.

  • Karl Toko Ekambi of Cameroon.

LEFT MIDFIELDER - Karl Toko Ekambi

The 29-year-old, who features for Ligue 1 club Lyon, scored two goals in the game against Ethiopia and he will likely keep his position after the impressive show.

  • Vincent Aboubakar, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Eric Choupo-Moting - Cameroon

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - Andre Zambo Anguissa

The Napoli star was in great form against Ethiopia and he will want to show it was not a fluke against Cape Verde.

  • Ngamaleu

    RIGHT MIDFIELDER - Nicolas Ngamaleu

He was superb against the Walia Ibex and his coordination with Anguissa in the middle of the park gives him another chance to continue with his form.

  • Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting Kamerun

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Eric Choupo-Moting

The Bayern Munich forward came on as a substitute in the opener against Burkina Faso but he started against Ethiopia and troubled their defenders, and also set up Vincent Aboubakar for one goal.

  • Vincent Aboubakar Cameroon 2022 Afcon

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Vincent Aboubakar

Two goals against the Stallions in the opener and another two goals against the Walia Ibex provide the 29-year-old Al-Nassr striker with a great opportunity to add to his tally.
