Possible 8th Finals

That's all for today, goodbye!
Portugal get the first points on the board in Group F, going top before France and Germany's game later today. Next up for them is Germany. Hungary can take a lot of positives from the game despite the heavy scoreline, but it's another tough game next time out against France.
Portugal start their title defence with a 3-0 win over Hungary. They left it very late but arguably should've led at the break after Ronaldo fired over from close range. Hungary thought they'd taken the lead through Schon, only to be denied by the flag. Guerreiro scored in the 84th minute, getting lucky with a big deflection off Orban before the defender gave away a penalty which Ronaldo converted. He then got his second in stoppage time, dancing away from the goalkeeper to slot in Portugal's third.
90' + 4' Hungary have a late free-kick on the left and Roland Varga swings the cross into the box. He can't pick out a team-mate in the middle though and Portugal come away with it again.
Rafa Silva
90' + 2' Rafa just stayed in his pocket of space on the edge of the box, helping out Ronaldo with the one-twos to set up the goal.
Cristiano Ronaldo
90' + 2' RONALDO SCORES AGAIN! It's absolutely brilliant from Ronaldo as he starts the move, playing a couple of one-twos with Rafa to get into space. He cuts inside from the right of the box, takes the ball around the goalkeeper and slots it into the back of the empty net. 3-0 Portugal!
90' + 1' Ronaldo is the first player in the European Championships history to score 10 goals in the competition.
João Moutinho

R. Varga
Á. Nagy
88' Nagy is also making way, with Roland Varga on to replace him.
K. Varga
A. Fiola
88' Hungary are making a double change now, with Fiola going off for Kevin Varga.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Penalty Goal
87' RONALDO SCORES! It's an emphatic penalty from the Portugal captain as he steps up and fires it into the bottom-right corner. Gulacsi dived the wrong way and there was no way that he was missing that. 2-0 Portugal!
W. Orban
Yellow Card
86' And Orban is booked for his challenge on Rafa for the penalty.
86' PENALTY TO PORTUGAL! Rafa is in on goal after Fernandes plays him in with a throughball. Orban is trying to get back into position but pulls back the substitute's arm, dragging him down, and the referee points straight to the spot.
Raphaël Guerreiro
84' PORTUGAL LEAD! Rafa tries to square the ball into the box, but a big deflection takes it straight to Guerreiro on the edge of the area instead. He takes the shot well, curling it towards goal with the outside of his boot and a deflection off Orban takes it past Gulacsi. 1-0 Portugal!
83' It's another sloppy pass from Portugal, with Rafa giving the ball away this time and Sieger breaks on the counter again. His throughball to Schon is blocked by Pepe, but the substitute chases it down until Patricio hooks it clear.
André Silva
Diogo Jota
81' Jota is also making way, with Andre Silva on in his place.
Renato Sanches
William Carvalho
81' Portugal are making a double change now. Carvalho is taken off, with Sanches on to replace him.
L. Négo
Yellow Card
80' Nego is shown a yellow card for dissent for his reaction after the goal was disallowed.
80' OFFSIDE! Lovrencsics slots the ball through to Schon on the right and he cuts inside to get into the box before drilling his shot at the near post. Patricio gets a hand to it but can only help it across the line. The fans are off their seats, but the flag is up and the goal won't count.
D. Sigér
L. Kleinheisler
78' Kleinheisler is also being taken off, with Sieger coming on for him.
S. Schön
R. Sallai
77' Double change for Hungary now and Sallai is the first to make way, with Schon replacing him.
76' The ball is played over the top for Ronaldo and he chests it down before Fiola blocks his run. Ronaldo is convinced there was a handball from the wing-back, but nothing is given much to his frustration.
75' Guerreiro's clearance loops up to Adam Szalai in a pocket of space outside the box and he decides to have a go. It's a hopeful shot at best as he tries to chip it into the far top corner and it bounces well wide.
73' It's another good counter from Hungary and they have a lot of red shirts breaking forward. Lovrencsics drives forward down the right and lifts a good cross into the far post, but Nagy hits his shot straight against Pepe.
Rafa Silva
Bernardo Silva
71' First change for Portugal now and it's Silva is making way for Rafa.
69' CLOSE! Lovrencsics pulls away from Guerreiro to whip in an early cross, but it's just behind Adam Szalai on the edge of the box. It gets through to Sallai, but he touches it just wide of the far post.
68' GREAT SAVE! Botka gives the ball away sloppily and Danilo intercepts it before slotting it through to Fernandes. The space opens up for him through the middle so he has a go from range, and Gulacsi tips it wide with his fingertips.
L. Négo
A. Schäfer
65' Hungary are making the first change of the game here and it's Schafer that's making way for Nego.
65' Portugal are keeping the pressure on here and Semedo floats a good cross into the box from the right. It's over Ronaldo's and Fernandes' heads in the middle and Botka clears the danger at the far post.
63' Semedo misjudges the bounce of the ball and Sallai is quickly in behind him to win it back for Hungary. He lays it off to Schafer so he can into the box, but the midfielder's cross is blocked by Pepe.
61' Again, Hungary pile players back in and around their own box and Portugal just can't find a way through. Guerreiro tries to slide it through for Ronaldo, but it comes back to him and he has to start again.
59' This is a good spell for Hungary and they're knocking the ball around quickly when they win it back. They work it out to Fiola on the left again, but his cross is cut out by Patricio, who rushes off his line.
57' SAVE! Hungary break quickly on the counter again and Kleinheisler works it into Sallai on the edge of the box. He takes the shot first time, but Patricio gets behind it to make the save.
56' Adam Szalai wins a free-kick on the left as a result of the pressure and he's urging the fans on when he gets back to his feet. Fiola goes long, looking for Sallai, but it's overhit and Patricio comes to collect it.
54' Kleinheisler does really well to keep hold of the ball after intercepting Silva's pass before going long to pick out Sallai's run. It's overhit and Dias shields it from him, accidentally catching the forward in the face, but nothing is given by the referee.
52' Semedo threads it through for Silva and he cleverly flicks it around Fiola to pick out Danilo's run down the right. He gets away from his defender, but it's a poor cross from him straight into Orban.
50' Hungary break quickly upfield down the left and Fiola touches it back to Adam Szalai. He's a long way out but decides to have a go from range, drilling his shot down the middle and Patricio holds onto it.
49' Hungary can't get a touch on the ball at the moment, but they're sitting deep to frustrate Portugal. The visitors are staying patient, but they can't find a way into the final third.
47' GOOD SAVE! Portugal have picked up where they left off and Fernandes swings a deep corner into the box. Pepe rises to meet it on the penalty spot and heads it towards the far post, but Gulacsi gets across to push it away.
46' Portugal get us back underway for the second half!
It was a frustrating first half for Portugal and they were let down by their quality in the final third and in front of goal, which Santos will want to see change in the second half. Hungary stayed strong defensively, but Rossi will want to try and take more risks if they want to pull off a shock after the break.
It's goalless at the break between Portugal and Hungary. Jota had two good chances to break the deadlock, with Gulacsi makes important saves to deny him. Ronaldo arguably had the best opportunity for the visitors just before the break, but he fired over from very close range. At the other end, Adam Szalai had the only chance but headed his effort straight at Patricio.
45' Dias goes long this time, playing a brilliant ball over the top to Fernandes on the right of the box. He brings it down with a great first touch but is stopped from taking a shot by Orban getting back into position.
43' WHAT A MISS! Jota drills a wonderful cross into the middle of the box and Fernandes can't sort out his feet quickly enough to get a touch. It goes through to Ronaldo, who is unmarked, but he blazes his effort high over the bar from close range.
42' Portugal are starting to get a bit of joy down the right side as Fernandes slots the ball through for Silva. He dances away from three Hungary defenders before pulling it back, but it's cut out by Orban.
40' SAVE! Semedo links up well with Silva down the right before fizzing the ball into Jota at the near post. He turns Attila Szalai before drilling his shot on target, but it's straight at Gulacsi, who pushes it away.
Rúben Dias
Yellow Card
38' Dias catches Kleinheisler with a high boot, and despite getting some of the ball, he's shown the first yellow card of the game.
37' CHANCE! Schafer swings in the free-kick from the left for Hungary and Adam Szalai rises highest in the middle to flick it on. It's straight at Patricio though and he comfortably holds onto it.
36' Pepe plays a loose pass forward and Schafer is quickly in to set Hungary on the counter. Silva slides in and fairly wins the ball, but Adam Szalai gets it back and wins a free-kick in a good position on the left.
34' Hungary's high press is starting to cause Portugal a few problems and Attila Szalai tries to switch play out to Lovrencsics high on the right when he wins it back. He brings it down well, only to be dispossessed by Jota.
32' It's patient from Portugal at the moment as Hungary drop deeper into their half to close down the space. They're knocking it around nicely, but they just can't find a way through.
30' CHANCE! Silva cuts back and floats a great cross into the box from the right. Ronaldo leaps to get his head on it in the middle, but couldn't get his angles right and sends it wide of the far post.
29' Portugal are keeping the pressure on here, but their passing in the final third is letting them down at the moment. Fernandes swings another corner into the box, but it's cleared comfortably by Hungary.
27' There are some big shouts for a penalty from the Portuguese players after Silva goes to ground under pressure from Orban in the box. The referee has a good view of it and says there was nothing in it as Hungary clear their lines.
25' Only two of the last six holders have won their opening game at the Euros, Spain in 2016 and France in 2004.
23' Fernandes swings a corner into the box and it's half-cleared by Attila Szalai to the edge of the box. Carvalho nods it down to Pepe, but Hungary are quickly out of their area to stop them from getting back in on goal.
21' Orban almost plays himself into trouble at the back after letting the ball roll across him, not realising that Ronaldo was closing him down. The Portugal captain sticks out a leg to try and nick it, but Orban just manages to get it clear in time.
19' GOOD SAVE! Pepe lifts a brilliant ball over the top to pick out Ronaldo's run through the middle and he's one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He tries to hook it over Gulacsi, who makes a good save to deny him, just as the offside flag goes up.
17' There's a coming together between Fiola and Semedo and the referee has just stopped the game as the midfielder was holding his head. Semedo is quickly back to his feet and Fiola will be able to carry on without needing treatment.
15' It's a loose pass from Guerreiro that is latched onto by Kleinheisler, but Portugal are quick to drop back into their shape and block his way forward. Hungary still have possession, but they can't get out of their own half.
13' It's another good move from Portugal down the left and Fernandes threads a great ball through to Guerreiro in the box. He can't bring it under control with his first touch though and ends up sending it out for a goal-kick.
11' Adam Szalai has four Portugal players surrounding him, but he does really well to push his way through. Just as he tries to lay it off to Sallai, he gets the ball caught under his feet and Carvalho has time to nick it back.
9' Portugal have a free-kick on the right and Fernandes swings in a good cross to pick out Jota, who is unmarked in the middle. He had time to bring it down, but volleyed it first time, sending it high and wide of the target.
7' Orban plays a long ball over the top to try and pick out Sallai's run through the middle and he's bundled to the ground by Dias. The Hungarian fans aren't happy with it and think they should have a free-kick, but nothing's given by the referee.
5' GOOD SAVE! Portugal counter quickly and Jota holds off Attila Szalai to turn and get to the edge of the box. He strikes it well and Gulacsi pushes it away, but if the forward had got his head up, he would've spotted Ronaldo in acres of space to his left.
4' Attila Szalai makes a driving run down the left for Hungary and the Portugal defenders can't get close to him. He tries to slide it through for Fiola, but Semedo tracks back well to make an important interception.
2' Portugal have started on the front foot here and Semedo tries to get them in behind by switching play out to Jota on the left. Botka hooks it clear just ahead of him but gives the ball back to Carvalho and Portugal come again.
1' Kleinheisler gets the game underway for Portugal!

Hungary qualified through the play-offs, beating Iceland 2-1 to secure their place in the tournament. They're unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions (W7 D4), but face a difficult task of reaching the last 16 like they did five years ago.
