GOAL takes a look at where Leonardo Castro ranks on the list of Chiefs' all-time top scorers since the inception of the PSL in 1996:
The Chiefs vice-captain is the club's all-time top scorer in the PSL era having scored 61 goals for the Soweto giants since joining the club in July 2011 from Dutch side FC Twente.
The Soweto-born attacking midfielder, who scored 58 goals in 372 matches during his time with Chiefs, was the club's all-time top scorer until his former teammate Parker broke his record last year.
The retired striker enjoyed a successful three-year spell with Chiefs between 1998 and 2001 - scoring 48 goals in 82 matches and he remains is the highest all-time goal scorer in the PSL with 123 goals.
The Zimbabwe captain netted 44 goals for Amakhosi during his two successful stints with Chiefs and he scooped the 2010/11 PSL Golden Boot award which earned him a move to German side TSG Hoffenheim.
The man nicknamed Trompies hit the back of the net 39 times in his second spell with Chiefs in the late 90s' before moving to Turkey where he turned out for Goztepe and Bursaspor.
Considered one of the greatest foreign players in the history of PSL, the Zambian striker broke records during his one-year spell with Chiefs and he left the club having netted 37 goals for the team.
Motaung Junior was known for his heading ability during his playing days and he netted 35 goals for the Soweto giants during an 11-year stint with the club as a player.
While Radebe is best remembered for his blistering speed and being wasteful in front of goal during his time with Chiefs, but he managed to net 35 times for the Soweto giants.
One of the longest-serving players in the history of Chiefs, Mooki was a goalscoring midfielder who netted 35 goals for the team and he retired as a one-club man in 2009.
The current Chiefs assistant coach enjoyed a 10-year playing career at Amakhosi - scoring 32 goals as a speedy right-winger who had previously played for the club's arch-rivals Orlando Pirates.
The left-winger was a fan-favourite at Chiefs before he left the club for Mamelodi Sundowns in 2017 having netted 30 goals during his nine-year stint with the Naturena-based giants.
Castro has netted 29 goals which sees him placed 10th on Chiefs' all-time top goalscorers having played 114 games for the Glamour Boys.
Chiefs were handed a massive boost when Castro returned from a long-term injury towards the end of last year having spent almost six months on the sidelines.
He will be looking to move up on the all-time list by scoring goals for the Soweto giants when the 2021/22 season resumes next month.
