Chelsea's forgotten man! Blues set to rip up flop Baba Rahman's contract after EIGHT-YEAR stay ahead of PAOK transfer

Over the course of his eight-year spell with the Blues, the Ghana full-back has only appeared 23 times for Chelsea including seven loan moves.

WHAT HAPPENED? Baba Rahman left Augsburg for Chelsea in 2015 for a reported £22 million, however, he has only made 23 appearances for the Blues and has frequently been loaned out to clubs including clubs like PAOK, Reading, Mallorca, Reims, and Schalke. The two parties have finally decided to sever ties after eight years together as the player is set to join the Greek side PAOK.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: The Ghanaian has suffered throughout his Chelsea campaign with injuries, however, had a relatively easier campaign last season. As an added bonus for Chelsea, the club will reportedly have an added bonus income for the player if PAOK can reach European competitions next season.

WHAT NEXT? Baba Rahman has already played with PAOK as he was loaned to the Greek side in January 2021 on a six-month loan spell. It will be interesting to see how the Ghanaian's move to Greece will suit him and the club.
