Lookman scores again as Atalanta overtake Napoli as Serie A leaders
- Atalanta secure comeback victory
- Lookman scored the winner
- The Goddess unbeaten in 10 league games
WHAT HAPPENED? The Nigeria international scored the winning goal as Atalanta continued their imperious form at the start of the 2022-23 season. The Goddess are unbeaten in ten league games as they look to challenge Napoli for the title this season.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: The Gewiss Stadium outfit are top of the Italian top-flight log, as their closest rivals, the Parthenopeans, play on Sunday. Luciano Spalletti’s men are yet to lose any of their matches in the league so far and a win over Bologna would take them back on top, but Gian Piero Gasperini and his side can take pride in knowing they are keeping pace right now.
ALL EYES ON: Lookman has four goals in ten games this season. The Nigeria international was somewhat under the spotlight after moving to Italy permanently from RB Leipzig, but is excelling at Atalanta and is looking like one of the signings of the summer.

THE VERDICT: The former England youth international's displays are not going unnoticed by fans.
Brendan rodgers and the chairman of Leicester city should hold their heads in their hands.

Ademola lookman as proven that he’s a big time player.
How this faltering Leicester team never gave him a contract even if it was a 3years beat me till date.,,
This is just the beginning
Once again Gian Piero Gasperini and Atalanta has helped a player on the wrong path find the right one: Ademola Lookman looks a player and a half for the bergamaschi so far. 4 goals and 3 assists in 10 Serie A appearances, and he’s been their offensive spearhead.

Lookman’s decision to leave RB Leipzig was a smart move. He is turning heads at Atalanta and his best is yet to come.
