Bayern eye Barcelona starlet Balde as potential Davies replacement amid Real Madrid fears

2023-02-11T14:41:16.806Z

According to a report from Spanish outlet El Nacional, Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich have set their sights on Barcelona youngster Alejandro Balde and will attempt to tempt the 19-year-old with a lucrative wage packet next summer, amid fears that Real Madrid could poach Alphonso Davies from the Bavarians in the near future.

The report adds Bayern are aware that their rapid Canadian full-back is a priority target for Los Blancos, and they are concerned that he will march with Florentino Perez, like David Alaba and Toni Kroos did in the past. As such, head coach Julian Nagelsmann sees Balde as perfect alternative option.

However, the versatile full-back is entirely opposed the idea of leaving Spotify Camp Nou, where he feels 'very comfortable,' and is 'fully committed to the whole' Barca project.

Bayern Munich pull ahead in Kane pursuit

2023-02-10T07:14:30.309Z

Transfer expert Christian Falk has suggested that Bayern Munich could have pulled ahead of its rivals in the race to sign Harry Kane.

The Tottenham Hostpurs’ forward became the English heavyweight’s top scorer with his 267th goal for the club increasing his value.

With the Bavarians looking to find a successor to Robert Lewandowski, Kane could perfectly fit the bill. Another factor is that Spurs would be reluctant to sell Kane to a direct rival increasing Bayern’s chances.

"They also know that Tottenham aren’t keen on the idea of losing Kane to another Premier League club – I heard there’s going to be a decision made on this within the club, so that could offer Bayern a big chance." said

Christian Falk in the latest edition of his exclusive CaughtOffside column.
