That's all from Nottingham today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
After this comeback on home soil, a weekend trip to Brentford is next up for Forest, while Brighton host Wolves and Manchester United in their next two matches.
A remarkable show of resilience and some incisive counter-attacking sees Nottingham Forest claim three precious points, to end their losing run in some style at the City Ground. After missing a first-half penalty and then falling behind, the home side seemed set for yet another Premier League defeat, but they overran a tired Brighton side in the final half-hour; roared on by their passionate fans. They may have picked up some concerning injuries in the process, but Forest give their survival hopes a huge shot in the arm; Albion's European hopes are dented.
90' + 15' FULL-TIME: NOTTINGHAM FOREST 3-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
K. Navas
Yellow Card
90' + 14' In the dying moments, Navas is needlessly booked for time-wasting.
90' + 13' NO GOAL! Brighton's misery is complete - Undav was definitely offside, so they're denied a second goal.
90' + 12' BRIGHTON GOAL? Converting Mac Allister's cross, Undav gets the ball into the net - but not only is it too late, he is also flagged offside. The VAR will still check it, though.
90' + 10' SAVE! De Zerbi looks disconsolate on the touchline, as he sees March and then Mac Allister come close with last-gasp efforts - the latter's flying just wide of the right-hand post. In the aftermath, Navas stays down hurt.
90' + 8' Gibbs-White is clattered to the turf by Undav and stays down for a while, soaking up more seconds of stoppage time. He's soon back to his feet, but it looks as though Forest have done enough now.
90' + 7' There's no doubt that Brighton have begun to tire after their exertions at Wembley last weekend, but Forest have carried the fight to them for the past half-hour here and would deserve victory.
90' + 5' Worrall makes another important block to steer Undav's attempt behind for a corner, then at the back post, Colwill somehow fails to make contact with March's inswinging cross from the set-piece.
90' + 3' Entering the third of at least 10 additional minutes at the end of the game - remember, Williams was down injured for quite some time earlier - the Forest faithful are in full voice now!
M. Gibbs-White
Penalty Goal
90' + 1' 3-1 TO FOREST! Coolly rolling the ball into the bottom-right corner, Gibbs-White sends Steele the wrong way from the spot! Surely that secures maximum points for the home side, who have fought back brilliantly during the second half!
90' PENALTY CONFIRMED! Forest have the chance to seal it from 12 yards! Dunk clearly touched the ball with his outstretched hand in the area, and upon reviewing the incident, the referee points to the spot!
89' PENALTY FOR FOREST? Now, Dunk is under scrutiny for a possible handball in the area! It certainly hit his arm! The VAR invites the referee across to review the evidence on the pitchside monitor!
O. Offiah
F. Buonanotte
88' Having scored a goal on his first league start, Buonanotte makes his way to the touchline; Offiah will replace him - it's the latter's Premier League debut.
H. Toffolo
B. Johnson
86' Applauded off and serenaded by the home fans, Johnson is withdrawn for the more defensive option of Toffolo.
84' NO PENALTY! Though the ball did hit Felipe on the arm inside his own area, the VAR agrees with the on-field referee that it was in a natural position and no penalty is given!
83' PENALTY FOR BRIGHTON? After Mitoma's clipped cross from the left byline strike's Felipe's arm in the box, the visitors appeal for a penalty. The VAR is reviewing it - will Brighton be awarded a spot-kick?
82' Having taken a heavy deflection on its way towards goal, Mac Allister's shot from outside the box on the left drifts straight at a grateful Navas.
A. Ayew
T. Awoniyi
80' After a tireless shift up front - plus an assist for potentially Forest's winning goal - Awoniyi makes way for Ayew up front.
79' SAVE! Navas partly redeems himself with another sharp stop, as he arches back to tip over March's powerful drive from the left! From the corner, Dunk sends a looping header over the top from 10 yards out.
77' At full stretch, Worrall makes a crucial intervention on the edge of his six-yard box, after another Mitoma dribble ends with a cutback towards the danger area.
D. Undav
J. Enciso
75' Brighton make another attacking change, as Enciso is withdrawn and Undav replaces him.
75' Following a quick combination between Kouyate and Danilo just outside the area, Gibbs-White rather rushes his shot at goal and sends the ball well wide of the target from the left side of Brighton's box.
D. Welbeck
P. Estupiñán
72' De Zerbi has seen enough, and after a lacklustre second-half showing he changes personnel. Welbeck will come on for Estupinan, with March shifting to left-back.
71' Brighton are rattled now, as they can see their gameplan unravelling in front of their eyes. Can they re-find their composure and get back on level terms here at a fiery City Ground?
T. Awoniyi
Assist
69' Gathering the ball after Caicedo's mistake, Awoniyi then picks out a pass into the box for goalscorer Danilo.
Danilo
Goal
69' FOREST GO IN FRONT! Under pressure from Danilo, Caicedo loses the ball deep in midfield, presenting it to Awoniyi. The big striker stays composed to roll the ball back into Danilo's path on the right side of the area, and the latter's low shot finds the bottom-left corner! A great show of character from Cooper's men - they now lead 2-1!
67' Having understandably been subdued by concern for Williams, Forest's fans are finding their voice again. While the home side have been second-best for much of this match, their tireless supporters have never stopped singing.
C. Kouyaté
N. Williams
65' After a long delay, Kouyate comes on to replace Williams, who has to depart with a head injury.
63' Still, Williams remains stricken on the turf, and the medics will have to help him off the pitch. The Welsh wing-back's game is sadly soon to be over.
61' Another injury for the home side sees the game halted. Johnson's clash with Williams has left the latter with a head injury, and a stretcher is now being brought out onto the pitch.
59' Williams bundles past his own team-mate, Johnson, to reach a low diving header inside the six-yard box, but - rather unconvincingly - Steele keeps the ball out of his net with a save at the second attempt.
58' MISS! A brilliant Brighton break sees Buonanotte dash through the centre of a wide-open Forest defence before releasing Mitoma at just the right time. However, from inside the area, the Albion winger is guilty of a glaring miss - he puts his shot wide of the right-hand post with Navas left totally exposed!
56' Despite reaching the left byline with some fancy footwork, Buonanotte ultimately finds his route blocked by Worrall, who shepherds the ball away to safety.
54' There's no doubt that Forest remain a threat on the counter, given their pace and power up front. In fact, they seem content to absorb Brighton's pressure and hope to catch them out at some stage.
52' JUST WIDE! An unorthodox block by Dunk, with his chest, temporarily clears the danger in Brighton's area, but the ball then falls to Williams on the right corner of the box. He sends a well-struck low shot scudding across goal and just wide of the far post!
49' An excellent turn and pass from Enciso across the edge of the box sets up Estupinan to strike, but the left-back's volleyed effort bounces wide of the right-hand post.
48' It's more of the same from Brighton at the start of this half, as they resume control of the ball and force Forest back into their defensive third.
46' Forest kick off, and we are back under way in Nottingham!
During the first half, Buonanotte became the youngest non-European player ever to score on his first Premier League start, aged just 18 years 124 days. He clearly has De Zerbi's faith, having been selected ahead of Welbeck today, but can the Argentinian starlet go on and make more history after the interval?
An eventful first half ends all-square in Nottingham, as the hosts draw level only seconds before half-time. As expected, Brighton bossed possession and controlled large swathes of the game, but Forest look more dangerous on the counter and will walk down the tunnel with spirits raised. Gloom could easily have descended after Johnson's missed penalty was followed by Buonanotte's strike for the Seagulls, but this contest remains very much in the balance at the break.
45' + 5' HALF-TIME: NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
P. Groß
Own Goal
45' + 3' FOREST EQUALISE! The Tricky Trees pull themselves level - and just before the break! Awoniyi plays the ball wide for Lodi on the left, and the wing-back's attempt across goal strikes Gross before beating Steele at his near post! They won't care how it went in; it's 1-1 at the City Ground!
45' + 1' Entering the first of at least three minutes stoppage time at the end of an open first half, Brighton resume control of the ball following Forest's brief flurry.
44' Forest are fighting their way back into this contest, and at the end of the second successive attacking move, Danilo lashes well over the top of the crossbar from a tight angle on the left.
42' Making a mess of controlling a precise throughball from Felipe, Awoniyi takes an age to get his shot off from just outside the box, then steers it straight at an untroubled Steele.
40' Nottingham Forest have a record of W0, D4, L13 when conceding the opening goal in the Premier League this season, while Brighton have avoided defeat in their last 10 after taking the lead.
F. Buonanotte
Goal
38' BRIGHTON LEAD! After March makes an out-to-in run and unleashes a low strike, Navas can only palm the ball straight into the path of Buonanotte. On his first Premier League start, the 18-year-old then scores from close range! It's an error that follows some great stops by either goalkeeper - and it proves costly: 1-0 to Brighton!
37' JUST WIDE! Repeating their combination from a few minutes ago, March turns back on the edge of the box to tee up Mac Allister, who then misses the target!
35' Brighton apply pressure from a corner and then keep Forest penned back in its aftermath. For all their bossing of the ball, though, they've had fewer clear-cut chances than their hosts.
33' MISS! Johnson spurns another good chance! This time he races through down the centre and bears down on goal, but under pressure from Dunk, he drives the ball wide of the right-hand post from 10 yards!
32' After treatment, Awoniyi is passed fit to resume his role up front. The big striker then rejoins the action, which is already back under way.
31' From the right side of the box, March lays a ball back for Mac Allister to strike, but the Brighton midfielder's low shot is easily saved by Navas in a central position.
30' Though Lodi is back to his feet and seems set to continue on the left flank, Awoniyi is now down on the turf folllowing a tussle with Colwill that caused him to land awkwardly on his shoulder. The game is paused again.
28' The action is halted momentarily, as Lodi receives treatment for an injury. Cooper could do without losing another defender now, having seen Niakhate hobble off earlier on.
27' Again Mitoma hits the left byline and delivers a cross, but this time his lofted ball is headed away by Lodi inside the six-yard box.
25' Williams does well to deny Mac Allister entry to the Forest area, but Mitoma then picks the ball up and feeds Enciso on the left side of the box. The latter's low shot is blocked by an outstretched leg, though. Brighton are totally on top now.
22' Forest simply can't hold onto possession, and they are being forced further back into their own half as a result. Their aim is to hit their front three quickly with longer balls, but more accuracy will be important in that regard.
20' Not surprisingly, Brighton have had 75 per cent of possession so far, as they dictate terms to their out-of-form hosts.
19' Navas makes a more routine save on this occasion, as he drops low to his right and gathers in a tame shot by Mitoma.
18' Matching the atmoshpere at the City Ground today, it has been an electrifying start to the game. Both sides have shown willing to get men forward - both are in need of three points for very different reasons.
16' SUPER SAVE! Navas makes a jaw-dropping stop to deny Enciso from five yards! Mitoma sprints and shimmies his way to the left byline in typical style, then cuts the ball back for his young colleague; Enciso has a simple task to find the net, but his shot is tipped over by the veteran keeper!
J. Worrall
M. Niakhaté
14' Niakhate will be unable to cause any more havoc with his throw-ins, as due to injury he is replaced by Worrall at the back.
13' CLOSE! Forest come close again, as Colwill fails to clear the ball fully and it drops to Danilo via a team-mate's head; the Brazilian then hits a dipping volley just centimetres wide of the right-hand post from the edge of the area!
J. Steele
Penalty Save
11' STEELE SAVES THE DAY! Diving to his right, at full stretch, Steele palms away Johnson's spot-kick towards the bottom corner! Brighton escape a major scare!
B. Johnson
Penalty Miss
11' MISS! Following a long delay, Johnson steps up to the penalty spot and aims for the bottom-left corner. However, his effort lacks pace and is turned away by Steele! Forest miss a golden opportunity to go in front early on!
9' PENALTY FOR FOREST! After miscontrolling the box in his own area then bringing Williams to the turf with a clumsy attempt to retrieve the ball, Estupinan concedes a penalty! The hosts have a great chance to open the scoring!
8' A vital interception by Dunk denies Awoniyi a clean strike at goal from close range, after Johnson surges down the right and delivers a pacy ball into the box. From the following corner, Steele struggles to get the ball away from his six-yard box, but ultimately manages to do so. Forest are clearly targeting the Brighton defence on set-pieces.
6' Niakhate hurls over a long throw-in from the left, and - under pressure from Felipe - March almost diverts the ball into his own goal with a header; Steele reacts well to bundle it away from his near post.
Felipe
Yellow Card
4' After a flare-up of tempers between several players on either side, after Buonanotte goes over in the Forest area, Felipe is shown a yellow card for his part in proceedings.
3' As expected, Brighton seize early control of the ball, probing around in midfield with some tidy passing. Then, a dangerous ball in from March on the right forces Williams to nod behind for a corner to the away side.
1' Brighton kick off, and we are under way at the City Ground!
The players are out on the pitch in Nottingham, and kick-off is now just moments away!
Despite going through extra time and penalties at Wembley, Brighton make just three changes to the side which suffered FA Cup semi-final defeat. Steele replaces Sanchez in goal, Colwill comes in for Webster, while teenage midfielder Buonanotte will make his first Premier League start. Welbeck is consigned to the bench, but fellow forward Evan Ferguson remains out injured.
Making two changes to the Nottingham Forest lineup which started against Liverpool, Cooper recalls Johnson and Aurier today - the latter returns as captain. Freuler drops to the bench, while Jonjo Shelvey in omitted entirely after clashing with the Forest manager about his substitute role last weekend.
SUBS: Robert Sanchez, Joel Veltman, Yasin Ayari, Danny Welbeck, Deniz Undav, Jan-Paul van Hecke, Odeluga Offiah, Adam Webster, Billy Gilmour.

Only days after suffering penalty heartbreak against Manchester United in their FA Cup semi-final, where they ultimately came up short in a dramatic shootout, Brighton return to Premier League duty today. The Seagulls now sit eighth in the table, but with as many as four games in hand over their main rivals for European qualification. Continuing to impress under Roberto De Zerbi, Albion had lost just one of their last seven league games before travelling to the Midlands.
Having suffered a 3-2 defeat to Liverpool last time out - despite fighting back from behind on two occasions - Nottingham Forest posted their fourth successive Premier League defeat. During that spell, the Tricky Trees have slipped to 19th in the table and sit two points from safety with six games remaining of their comeback campaign. In all, Steve Cooper's side have endured eight losses since their last victory - with six coming in their last seven outings. Nonetheless, Forest have lost just two of their last 12 league matches at the City Ground.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion at the City Ground!
