That's all for now. Thanks for tuning in!
Newcastle can confirm Champions League football on Monday if they beat Leicester, as they sit in third with 69 points, now four ahead of Liverpool. Brighton remain sixth with 58 points and will hope that neither Tottenham nor Aston Villa overtake them in their bid for a European spot.
A very dominant Newcastle showing for the majority of the match sees them one win away from Champions League football. They opened up the scoring thanks to an Undav own goal before Burn doubled their lead at half-time. Undav then scored for Brighton after the break to make it 2-1, but late goals from Wilson and Guimaraes sealed the 4-1 victory and the three points.

The hosts are well on their way to three points, which would be another step closer to bringing Champions League nights back to St. James' Park. Should Brighton lose, they'll still remain in sixth, a European spot, but will further risk Aston Villa and Tottenham closing the gap.

The reverse fixture between Newcastle and Brighton this season took place 278 days ago, on the 13th August 2022 (0-0). Excluding the 2019/20 campaign (which had a 3-month break during lockdown), it's the longest gap between two sides meeting in a single Premier League season.
Enciso is only fit enough for the bench after coming off against Arsenal. De Zerbi has much of his side out, as all of Jakub Moder (knee), Tariq Lamptey (knee), Jeremy Sarmiento (ankle), Adam Webster (muscle), Solly March (thigh), Joel Veltman (thigh) and Adam Lallana (thigh) are injured. Robert Sanchez has been left out of the squad per "an agreement" with De Zerbi and the club.
Eddie Howe has gone for a similar line-up which got Newcastle a point at Elland Road, with Wilson, Isak, and Almiron, starting up top as Gordon and Saint-Maximin only see the bench. The home side are without Sean Longstaff (ankle), Emil Krafth (ACL), Jamaal Lascelles (calf), and Matt Ritchie (knee) with only Longstaff having a chance of returning to action before the season ends.

Brighton delivered a remarkable tactical performance at the Emirates Stadium, securing a convincing victory over a an Arsenal side that will almost surely finish the league in second after mounting a serious title charge for the majority of the season. Currently sitting in sixth place, Brighton holds a one-point advantage over both Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, although the latter two teams have played two more matches. Brighton's visit to St James' Park follows their impressive scoring streak of 12 consecutive Premier League games at the Emirates. Notably, they rank second in terms of away goals, with 33 strikes, trailing only Arsenal's 35. However, it is worth noting that De Zerbi's team has managed to keep clean sheets in only three away matches throughout the season.
Newcastle's third-placed spot in the Premier League is not as secure as they'd like. Manchester United are only behind them on goal difference, and Liverpool sit only one point worse off, though they have played a game more. In spite of their successful season, Newcastle is being hindered by a declining defence. Despite initially having the league's strongest backline, they have now gone eight matches without a clean sheet and have only managed to prevent Manchester United from scoring in their last 17 encounters.
