GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! ALVAREZ SCORES HIS SECOND!!!!!! 6-0 CITY!!!! Alvarez produces a clinical finish following a sublime pass from De Bruyne. The Belgian drops a perfect ball for Alvarez to chase behind Al Dakhil. Alvarez wrong foots the defender by turning back on his left foot and hammering his effort beyond the reach of Peacock-Farrell.
Maatsen has space down the left flank and Obafemi in support, but he cannot pick out the forward in the middle as Laporte makes the interception.
OVER! Phillips pushes forward to latch on to Mahrez's flick in the inside-right channel. He connects well with his strike, but launches it narrowly over the bar.

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! HAALAND HAS HIS SECOND HAT-TRICK OF THE WEEK!!!! 3-0!!!!!! Haaland completes his hat-trick as he turns home the ball on the rebound. Foden collects on the left flank and fires a low strike towards goal. His attempt hits the post, but bounces out straight to Haaland, who scoops his strike past Peacock-Farrell.
De Bruyne sees his effort deflected wide of the target by Beyer. Foden, of all people, rises highest in the box to head at goal from Mahrez's corner, but he loops his effort straight into the hands of Peacock-Farrell.
Al Dakhil is in the right place at the right time to block Alvarez's strike after the forward burst into the box with menace.

Burnley put their march back towards the Premier League on hold this week to test their mettle against the cream of the crop in the FA Cup. The Clarets have been in sensational form in the second tier and look set to smash the points record on their way back to the top flight. Vincent Kompany knows all too well about the quality that City possess and knows that his team face a challenge to book a semi-final berth for the first time since 1974.
For all of City's dominance since Pep Guardiola's arrival in 2016, they've only won the FA Cup once in 2019 and the Spaniard will be keen for his side to press on in pursuit of the trophy against Burnley. City are fresh off a 7-0 hammering of RB Leipzig in the Champions League where Erling Haaland scored an incredible five goals on the night. Guardiola will be looking for the same level of clinical edge against the Championship leaders.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup quarter-final clash between Manchester City and Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.
