Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Barcelona are next in action in LaLiga on Saturday on the road against Valencia. Bayern play Mainz in their next Bundesliga outing on the same day.
Bayern secure their place at the top of Group C with a 3-0 victory over Barcelona in their Champions League clash at Camp Nou. Sadio Mane put the visitors ahead before Eric Choupo-Moting added a second to put the German outfit in complete command. Barca barely threatened the Bayern defence, failing to muster a shot on target. Benjamin Pavard rubbed salt in the wound with a late goal to put the icing on the cake for Julian Nagelsmann and his team.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: BARCELONA 0-3 BAYERN
S. Gnabry
Assist
90' + 5' Gnabry gets his third assist of the game as he slices a strike at goal. Luckily for Bayern it travels straight to Pavard, who is left with a simple finish.
B. Pavard
Goal
90' + 5' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! PAVARD SCORES AT THE DEATH!!!!! BAYERN 3-0!!!! Bayern pour on the agony for the home side as Pavard steers a close-range effort home, capitalising on woeful defending. Kimmich whips a cross deep to the back post from a corner that Gnabry slices into the ground. It travels all the way across the face of goal where Pavard times his run and taps home unmarked. All too easy for the visitors.
90' + 4' OVER! Mane latches on to a cutback from Gnabry and fires at goal, but Ter Stegen produces a fine save to turn his effort over the bar.
90' + 3' Gnabry presses forward at the Barca defence and lines up a strike, only to drag his effort well wide of the target.
90' + 1' Fati and Balde attempt left-footed strikes from the edge of the box, but both see their attempts charged down by the Bayern defence.
90' There will be four minutes of added time.
87' Mane continues his fine work this evening as he wins a free-kick, drawing a foul from Torre. Mane and Gnabry have been excellent leading the line.
85' There has been a clear difference in quality between the teams in the final third tonight. Barca have been so wasteful in good positions whereas Bayern have taken the chances that have come their way.
83' Mane almost pounces on a mistake by Ter Stegen as the keeper sells De Jong short, but Garcia puts in an important challenge.
Pablo Torre
R. Lewandowski
82' It has not been Lewandowski's night against his former team. Torre replaces the forward in the final third.
81' Raphinha wins the ball down the right flank and cuts a pass back towards Lewandowski at the near post, but it just evades the Pole.
80' SAVE! Kimmich floats a ball over the top for Gnabry to attack, but the forward can only steer a tame strike straight at Ter Stegen from the inside-right channel.
J. Stanišić
N. Mazraoui
79' Mazraoui makes way for the visitors and is replaced by Stanisic.
77' Barca lose possession and it allows Gnabry to lead a counter. For once this evening he fails to pick out a team-mate with a throughball as he underhits his pass to Mane.
76' Lewandowski tries to turn away from Pavard, but is brought down by his former team-mate. Barca have a free-kick in a useful position.
73' There is no shortage of effort from the home side. They have lacked a clinical edge in the final third, which has been the difference between the two sides tonight.
71' Barca win the ball back as Kimmich loses possession. Torres goes for a blast on the edge of the box, but it is charged down by De Ligt.
70' WIDE! Fati provides a spark in the final third as he weaves through the Bayern defence, but loses his composure at the vital moment and places his effort wide of the target.

46' We're back under way at Camp Nou.
M. Sabitzer
L. Goretzka
46' Goretzka makes way for Sabitzer at the break.
Barca have not been able to lay a glove on Bayern in the final third. Robert Lewandowski has been a spectator against his former club. Xavi needs to get confidence into his team at the break as they are looking bereft in and around the box at the moment.
Bayern hold a 2-0 lead over Barcelona in their Champions League clash at Camp Nou. The visitors have been clinical in the final third on the counter. Sadio Mane opened the scoring with a fine finish after being released by Serge Gnabry. The German notched his second assist with a precise ball for Eric Choupo-Moting to score Bayern's second with another excellent strike. It could have been three as Jamal Musiala was denied before the break. Barca had a penalty decision overturned by VAR, and it has been that sort of night for the Catalan club.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: BARCELONA 0-2 BAYERN
45' There will be two minutes of added time.
45' VAR! NO PENALTY! The referee overturns his initial decision to award Barcelona a penalty after reviewing the incident. De Ligt gets a foot to the ball in his challenge with Lewandowski, clearly making it a fair challenge.

D. Upamecano

Gnabry plays the forward behind Bellerin with a long-range pass and the Senegalese takes it in stride to burst into the box. Ter Stegen comes out, but Mane sweeps his strike past the keeper and into the net.
8' Goretzka charges forward from the middle of the park, but he gets dispossessed by Kessie before he can pull the trigger on a strike at goal.
6' Dembele bursts forward down the right flank and tries to combine with Kessie. However, the midfielder loses out to Davies and allows the visitors to clear.

1' We're under way at Camp Nou.
Barcelona have lost nine of their 12 Champions League matches against Bayern Munich (W2 D1), including the last five in a row. Only Bayern Munich themselves against Real Madrid (10) have lost more games against a single opponent in Champions League history.
Bayern have made two changes to their side that beat Hoffenheim in their last outing. Mane slots back into the final third in place of Coman. Mazraoui gets the nod at right-back as Pavard drops to the bench. Choupo-Moting is chosen to lead the line again with Muller on the bench.
Xavi has made three changes to his side that defeated Athletic Bilbao last time out. Sergi Roberto misses out, while Garcia and Gavi drop to the bench. Bellerin comes in at right-back while Alonso slots into the heart of the defence. Kessie gets the nod ahead of Gavi in midfield. Lewandowski leads the line against his former club.
BAYERN SUBS: Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman, Marcel Sabitzer, Thomas Muller, Johannes Schenk, Ryan Gravenberch, Mathys Tel, Josip Stanisic.
BAYERN (4-2-3-1): Sven Ulreich; Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka; Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mane; Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Bayern only need a point to secure top spot in Group C after winning their previous four matches. The German outfit have already earned their place in the knockout phase, but will be aiming to continue their dominant run in the competition with a five victory on the bounce. Julian Nagelsmann’s side triumphed on the road in their last outing in the Bundesliga, defeating Hoffenheim 2-0 to move level on points with Union Berlin at the summit of the table. Nagelsmann will want a similar effort from his team tonight.
It is all over for Barcelona in the Champions League this season after Inter's victory over Viktoria Plzen in the early kick-off. The Spanish side needed Inter to drop points and then defeat Bayern tonight to set the stage for a late revival. However, Xavi and his team can now only focus on the Europa League and ending their Group C campaign on a high note. Barca have found form since their defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico, easing past Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao in their last two matches. Xavi will be looking for his team to channel that standard of performance tonight against Bayern.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Champions League clash between Barcelona and Bayern Munich at Camp Nou.
