'Ronaldo thought he signed for Kaizer Chiefs' - South Africa goes gaga after CR7 gaffe
Al-Nassr new signing Cristiano Ronaldo had a funny geographical mix-up between South Africa and Saudi Arabia during a press conference on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old mistakenly referred to the kingdom in the Middle East as South Africa while he addressed the media during his official unveiling.
“The football is different, so for me, it’s not the end of my career to come to South Africa,” Ronaldo said. “This is why I want to change, and to be honest I’m really not worried about what people say.”
🗣️ “Many people speak and give their opinion but they really know nothing about football. To be honest, I really don’t worry about what people say. I took my decision.”

South African Twitter took note, had a good laugh about it, especially Kaizer Chiefs fans who claimed him as their player.
