Orlando Pirates XI vs AmaZulu: Mabaso starts, Mntambo missing from matchday squad

The Bucs technical bench has unveiled their players to face Usuthu in the midweek game in Durban

As Pirates visit AmaZulu, who have drawn in their last four games, they will hope to earn a victory in order to continue closing the gap with the leading pack.

    The South African was in goal and kept a clean sheet against Baroka FC and with the absence of Richard Ofori, the experienced stopper starts once again.

    Ndah did not face LPRC Oilers in the Confederation Cup, featured against Baroka and has now been partnered with Nyauza once more at the heart of Pirates' defence as Happy Jele misses out.

    Midfielder - Ben Motshwati

    The 30-year-old South African - who was yellow-carded in the 85th minute against Baroka - has been given another opportunity to get more minutes in the club's jersey as a starter.

    A positive result will boost his confidence as he hopes to cement a place in the first team.

    Midfielder - Abel Mabaso

    Mabaso has been included in the XI as Onassis Mntambo - who started and got replaced just after the hour mark by Kabelo Dlamini in the last game - is entirely missing from the matchday squad.

    Makaringe scored the second goal against LPRC Oilers in the Confederation Cup and has another opportunity to perform well and silence the remaining critics.  He was replaced by Terrence  Dzvukamanja in their last goalless draw outing.
