Terrence Dzvukamanja, Orlando Pirates, December 2021
GOAL rates the performances of the Bucs players following their 1-1 draw with Swallows FC in a PSL match on Tuesday night

  • Siyabonga Mpontshane, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Siyabonga Mpontshane - 7/10

One of Pirates' better players on the night.

Mpontshane made fine saves throughout the game and commanded his area with aplomb, but he was well beaten from the penalty spot by Ruzaigh Gamildien.

  • Bandile Shandu Orlando Pirates

    Bandile Shandu - 7/10

Operated as a right wing-back and he flourished in this position.

Shandu timed his overlapping runs brilliantly which saw him open the scoring, but he was unfortunate to pick up an injury which led to his substitution just after the hour-mark.

  • Paseka Mako, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    Paseka Mako - 6/10

Involved in an interesting battle with fellow diminutive player Keletso Makgalwa.

Mako intiatlly struggled against Makgalwa, but he got the better of the Swallows winger as the game progressed and he became a threat to the hosts' defence with his dangerous forward runs.

  • Olisa Ndah, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Olisa Ndah - 7/10

'Mr Stability' looked good at the heart of the Bucs defence.

Ndah distributed well and he didn't put a wrong foot forward as he made important clearances and interceptions.

  • Ntsikelelo Nyauza, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Ntsikelelo Nyauza - 7/10

Good display alongside Ndah in central defence.

Nyauza mopped up everything in front of him and he did not give Gamildien much time on the ball.

  • Thabang Monare, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    Thabang Monare - 6/10

Swallows ran the rings around him in midfield during the opening exchanges.

However, Monare gradually settled into the contest and he began dominating his midfield battle with Lebohang Mokoena.

  • Fortune Makaringe, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Fortune Makaringe - 6/10

Started well as he set-up Shandu for the opening goal - registering an assist.

However, Makaringe conceded a penalty when he fouled Makgalwa and he struggled to make an impact until he was substituted.

  • Deon Hotto, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Deon Hotto - 6/10

    Looked anonymous in the first-half.

However, Hotto burst into life after the restart as his forward runs in the left flank created problems for the Swallows defence and he came close to scoring a late winning goal.

  • Thembinkosi Lorch, Orlando Pirates, December 2021

    Thembinkosi Lorch - 6/10

Looked sharp in the opening stages of the game after making his first start of the season.

Lorch was involved in the build up to Pirates' goal and he combined well with his fellow attackers, but his impact waned off as the game continued and he was replaced by Kabelo Dlamini.

  • Terrence Dzvukamanja, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    Terrence Dzvukamanja - 4/10

Poor performance by the Zimbabwean attacker.

Dzvukamanja was last seen curling the ball over the crossbar in the first-half instead of playing a through pass for Lorch and he became anonymous until he was substituted.

  • Kwame Peprah, Orlando Pirates, December 2021

    Kwame Peprah - 5/10

Kept the Swallows defence busy in the first-half with his dangerous runs into the box.

However, Peprah barely got a whiff of the ball after the restart and he was replaced by Boitumelo Radiopane.

  • Kwanda Mngonyama, Orlando Pirates, October 2021

    Kwanda Mngonyama - 5/10

Struggled against the overlapping Tebogo Langerman after coming on in the 61st minute, but he came close to scoring with a curling shot in the closing stages.

  • Kabelo Dlamini, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Kabelo Dlamini - 5/10

Replaced Lorch in the 61st minute and he didn't produce anything of note after coming.

  • Boitumelo Radiopane, Orlando Pirates, November 2021

    Boitumelo Radiopane - 5/10

Came on in the 71st minute and he was tightly marked by Man of the Match Wandisile Letlabika.

  • Goodman Mosele, Orlando Pirates, September 2021

    Goodman Mosele - 6/10

Helped Pirates regain control of the game after coming in the 71st minute and his passing was top notch.

  • Frank Mhango, Orlando Pirates, August 2021

    Frank Mhango - N/A

Couldn't make an impact as he came on in the 88th minute
