GOAL rates the performances of the Sundowns players.
Always alert between the sticks.
Williams made three great saves to keep the Natal Rich Boys at bay when the hosts counter-attacked. His ball distribution was also good.
Very busy in the right flank.
Mudau was highly pro-active as he overlapped and also tracked back to help his teammates defend. However, he lacked the final ball.
Eye-catching display.
Modiba played well both defensively and offensively after being recalled to the starting line-up. He grabbed an assist when Mailula turned home his looped pass.
A largely dependable figure in defence.
Kekana was strong in possession and dominant in the air as he contained the towering Somila Ntsundwana. He is arguably Downs' best centre-back.
Not at his best.
Mvala ably complimented his centre-back partner's passing range. However, he was found out in defence towards the end of the game and he was lucky not to concede a late penalty.
Worked tirelessly in midfield.
Mokoena made some well-timed tackles as a deep-lying midfielder. He also made a few accurate forward passes when Sundowns were attacking.
One of the best passers of the ball in the PSL.

Full of running as he linked the midfield with the attack.
Maema made a few well-timed late runs into the hosts' box, but he couldn't keep his attempts on target. He faded as the game went by and he was substituted.
Displayed good movement and positioning.
Domingo looked threatening as he got himself into good positions in the opposition's box which saw him score the second goal, but he looked tired towards the end of the game.
Great performance while also leading by example as team captain.
Zwane kept Sundowns ticking with intricate passes and movement, but the veteran attacker was unlucky not to score on the night. He was named Man of the Match.
Flourished as a false number 10 once again.
Mailula's brilliant link-up play with Zwane unsettled the Richards Bay defence throughout the game. The 21-year-old youngster netted a beautiful goal to break the deadlock, while also being involved in the build up to the second goal.
Sphelele Mkhulise, Sipho Mbule, Gaston Sirino, Andile Jali and Gift Motupa were all introduced after the 84th minute which was too late to warrant a rating.
