Emmanuel Dennis continued his impressive run of goal contributions against Chelsea in midweek and the forward will aim to add to his 11 goal involvements against Manchester City on Saturday.

In Ligue 1, Terem Moffi and Moses Simon face off with Lorient and Nantes desperate to end their extended runs without winning in the top flight.

  • Wilfred Ndidi

Leicester City’s run of indifferent results continued during the week when they played out a 2-2 draw against Southampton.

Ndidi has not been at his sharpest since returning from injury, and Brendan Rodgers will hope his star anchorman thrives when the Foxes visit Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

Kelechi Iheanacho has had little time on the pitch of late, with the forward disadvantaged by his manager’s current preference for a lone striker, flanked by two wide forwards.

An obvious beneficiary has been Ademola Lookman, who is expected to feature at Villa Park as the Foxes look to better a run of results that has seen them win only one of their last five Premier League games.

  • Alex Iwobi of Everton

This week’s Premier League round concludes with Iwobi facing his old side as beleaguered Everton host Arsenal.

The Super Eagle was an unused substitute as the Toffees suffered a 4-1 Merseyside derby defeat by Liverpool, and it remains to be seen if he will get minutes against the Gunners at Goodison Park.

Rafael Benitez’s team are winless in their last eight league games, a run they could halt against Mikel Arteta’s side who have picked up only two wins on their travels this season.

  • Emmanuel Dennis of Nigeria and Watford.

Dennis’s latest goals have not had the desired effect for Watford, who suffered a 4-2 defeat by Leicester and lost 2-1 against Chelsea.

With Manchester City set to visit Vicarage Road this weekend, Claudio Ranieri will look to his in-form attacker to come up trumps and hope William Troost-Ekong has a better showing at the back against Pep Guardiola’s men.

The Hornets have won only one of their last six games on home turf, but that was a stunning 4-1 success over the Cityzens’ neighbours Manchester United.

Ranieri will hope for a repeat performance, although it is easier said than done as Pep’s team are a different kettle of fish.

  • Samuel Chukwueze - Villarreal

    Samuel Chukwueze

The wide attacker is pushing for a first start in La Liga after strong showings in Villarreal’s last two games—scoring off the bench in their 3-1 defeat by Barcelona and netting in the 8-0 Copa del Rey success at Victoria CF.

Having completed 90 minutes for the first time since returning from injury, Chukwueze will hope that performance convinces Unai Emery to play him from the off against Sevilla this weekend.

The Yellow Submarine’s indifferent league form sees them stuck in the bottom half in the standings and they face the Andalusians, who have won five and drawn one of their six league fixtures at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, looking for their first away success of the campaign.

  • Moses Simon - Nantes 2021/22

    Moffi vs Moses

Lorient play host to Nantes in Ligue 1 this weekend with both sides eager to end extended runs without claiming maximum points.

The hosts are without a win in nine, whereas the Canaries’ run extended to five after their 1-0 defeat by Olympique Marseille on Wednesday.

Terem Moffi’s drought continued in Lorient’s 2-0 defeat at Troyes, and the striker has now gone 10 games without scoring since netting a late winner against Lille in early September.

Moses Simon has dropped to third in the assists standings after a two-game run without one, and Antoine Kombouare will hope the wide attacker thrives this weekend as Nantes chase only their second away victory in Ligue 1 this term.
