Messi receives astonishing offer from the MLS
Spanish publication Sport has reported that PSG’s star Lionel Messi has received a unique offer from the MLS in order to lure the Argentine to the USA.
The report suggests that all 29 MLS clubs are looking to fund the wages of the 2022 World Cup Winner to get him into the league.
The major reason behind such an offer is to give MLS a commercial boost before the 2026 World Cup and increase the popularity of the sport with Messi’s arrival.
La Pulga will also be free to join any of the clubs that he intends to if all the 29 outfits join hands to make the transfer a reality.
The 35-year-old’s time at PSG seems to have come to an end after their shambolic exit from the Champions League against Bayern Munich and has been heavily linked to a switch to the USA since then.

“I don’t think I’ll go back,” he said. “No, I want to be playing. Although I had a great time at City and I love those guys, and obviously [it’s] an amazing club, I don’t really have any plans to go back.” stated Steffen.

The Argentina captain has yet to agree on a contract extension in Paris and has been linked with a move to MLS outfit Inter Miami, co-owned by Manchester United legend David Beckham.
According to L'Equipe, Inter Miami are aware than Messi's potential blockbuster signing would enhance the MLS brand image, and the American franchise "are using every possible means to convince him".
"He has clearly become the number one priority of Jorge Mas, the main owner of Inter Miami," Jerome Meary, an agent with ties to the MLS, told the French publication.
"The first talks date back to June 2021, before Messi signed for PSG. Since then, talks have resumed and Jorge Mas spent a lot of time with Messi's entourage during the World Cup in Qatar in December."

.Leeds hierarchy consider McKennie future
Leeds United have found Jesse Marsch's replacement, having appointed Javi Gracia, an ex-Watford coach, as their new boss. One issue for Leeds is whether recent loan signing USMNT star Weston McKennie will fit into Gracia's plans.
According to TuttoJuve, this development means that the player’s future is now hanging in the balance. McKennie is currently on loan at Leeds until the end of the season, but the English side has the option to retain his services for €33m.
This option will turn into an obligation on two conditions: avoiding relegation and the player making 10 appearances. McKennie will find himself in disarray if the deal is not made permanent, as he is deemed surplus to requirements back at his parent club Juventus.
As such, he should have no shortage of suitors come summer, having put up glowing performances for USMNT at the recent World Cup.
