Another weekend of Premier League action is upon us and we have selected three more bets that should be of interest this weekend

The Premier League season is barely underway, and the first international break is already around the corner on Sept. 19. However, there have already been plenty of exciting finishes and drama through the first six matchweeks.

Two managers have already been sacked after Scott Parker (Bournemouth) was fired on Aug. 27, followed by the shocking dismissal of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea this week.

Several big-time clashes are set to take place this week. Most notably, a “Big 6” showdown between Manchester City and Tottenham on Saturday.

So what will happen in Matchweek 7? Let’s examine some of my favorite best bets and predictions for this weekend in the Premier League.

All odds and bets are provided courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook as of Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. ET, unless otherwise noted.

Matthew Williams' 2022-23 EPL Betting Record: 17-14 (+14.6 units)

Leicester City vs Aston Villa Best Bet

➕ Over 2.5 Goals (-125) at PointsBet Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Aston Villa is fresh off a stunning draw with Manchester City but has otherwise lost four out of its first five matches. In fact, Steven Gerrard’s club is only outside the relegation zone due to a tie-breaker on goal differential.

Meanwhile, Leicester City sits at the bottom of the table with a 0-1-5 record. The Foxes have conceded 16 goals already this season, and Brendan Rodgers is on the hot seat to deliver results.

It is difficult to forecast a winner in this matchup between Leicester and Aston Villa, but it seems highly probable that the Over will hit on 2.5 total goals.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Best Bet

➕ Brighton to Win And Bournemouth Does Not Score (+175) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Brighton is fresh off a 5-2 victory over Leicester City to bring their Premier League record to 4-1-1. Graham Potter has the Seagulls sitting at fourth in the table, even after the loss of Neal Maupay and Marc Cucurella.

Unfortunately, there are rumors that Potter could leave Brighton to manage Chelsea in the wake of Tuchel’s departure. That said, a decisive victory should be well in hand given the opposition and stellar defense that Potter has built.

West Ham vs Newcastle Best Bet

➕ Under 2.5 Goals (-115) at PointsBet

WAGER: 1 Unit

After a rough start to the season, West Ham appears to be on the right track after three strong performances against Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Newcastle has yet to reach its top form due to several critical injuries. The Magpies have earned a draw in four of their last six matches, including a controversial ending in the 98th minute versus Liverpool.

The outcome is likely to be closely contested, with both clubs combining for just 10 goals in 12 games. Back the Under.
