Brazil advance to the Copa America final courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Peru in their semi-final clash at the Estadio Nilton Santos. Lucas Paqueta scored the only goal of the game as he converted Neymar's cutback from close range after fine work from the forward in the box. Ricardo Gareca's men put the Selecao under pressure in the second half, but lacked the clinical edge to find an equaliser. Tite's side can now dream of back-to-back Copa America crowns when they play at the Maracana on July 10.

Militao is called on to the field in place of Renan Lodi in the Brazil backline.
Fabinho comes on to shore up the Brazil midfield to replace Fred.
Brazil are not looking comfortable on the field. They've not been able to take the game away from Peru in the second half and now need to be resolute at the back.
CHANCE! Callens rises unmarked to head Yotun's cross towards goal. However, he makes only glancing contact and the ball travels wide of the right post. The defender spurns a huge opportunity to level the scores.
Ormeno makes his way on to the pitch to replace Cueva for the final nine minutes.
Paqueta hauls down Yotun and gives away a free-kick in a dangerous area. Peru can threaten with the right delivery here.
Pena tries to release Lapadula over the top with a long ball, but the forward just mistimes his run and is caught offside.
Callens brings down Neymar on the edge of the box with a lunge. Brazil have a free-kick in a dangerous position.

Everton Ribeiro enters the action to replace Everton in the final third.
The Selecao are re-asserting their authority on the contest. They've allowed Peru to believe in the second half, and there is still plenty of work ahead for Tite's men to close out their win.
Brazil attempt to regain their control as Fred finds space and shoots from distance, but his effort is deflected wide of the target by Tapia.
Neymar chases a long ball over the top from Paqueta and he launches a strike at goal first time on his left foot. However, the forward blasts his effort well over the bar.
Everton tries to bundle his way through the Peru defence and he manages to squeeze a shot through in tight quarters. Gallese watches the ball all the way and gets down to make the save.
SAVE! Garcia drops the shoulder and launches a strike at goal from the edge of the box. Ederson gets down to make the stop, but he parries his effort into the middle of the box. Lapadula tries to pounce, but Marquinhos is there first. The rebound would have been moot anyway as Lapadula was offside.
Brazil negotiate the threat from the set-piece as Thiago Silva hooks a low cross from Garcia away from danger.
Paqueta gives away a free-kick in the centre circle for a foul by Paqueta on Yotun as he catches the midfielder with a stray arm when in possession. Peru have to make the most of these opportunities to threaten.
Yotun trips Richarlison in the middle of the park as he attempts to counter. The Peru midfielder goes into the book.
Lapadula falls victim to the pitch as it gives way as he attempts to jump to an aerial duel. He goes down, but tries to play on with the problem. His condition will need monitoring from the Peru bench.
Richarlison battles for possession in the Peru box and he wins the ball. However, as he loses his balance as he shoots and scuffs his effort at Gallese.
Garcia and Lapadula combine in the left-inside channel, but the latter sees his effort blocked. Garcia pounces on the rebound, only to fire wide of the post.
WIDE! Cueva causes problems in the final third as he bundles his way through two challenges. Garcia takes over and lines up a drive from 25 yards that travels wide of the right post.
Peru have come out with a stronger attacking intent and they are attempting to put the Selecao under pressure.
SAVE! Lapadula latches on to a throughball from Yotun in the right-inside channel. The forward cuts back on to his left foot to fire towards goal. His strike heads towards the bottom-left corner, but Ederson produces a fine diving stop to push it past the post.
Lopez angles a cross in from the left flank into the box, but Lapadula fouls Thiago Silva as he attempts to connect with the delivery.

Peru have not offered a great deal in the match and have been at the mercy of Brazil's finishing. Pedro Gallese kept them in the game, but Ricardo Gareca's men will have to be more adventurous in the second half.

Paqueta wins the ball in the middle of the park and has plenty of options in the final third. He tries to release Neymar, but his throughball is cut out by Ramos.
Cueva twists and turns in the right-inside channel, but Casemiro and Renan Lodi converge to force the midfielder to send the ball behind for a goal-kick. It was almost an opening for Peru.
Lapadula makes a break into space down the right flank before he offloads to Pena. However, the midfielder plays a loose offload to spurn the opening.
Ramos bundles into Richarlison down the left flank, giving away a free-kick on the half-way line. Peru have to keep their composure before the break.
Both players are back on their feet and the game resumes.
Paqueta and Trauco collide in the air and both men require treatment after a clash of heads.

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! PAQUETA OPENS THE SCORING!!!! 1-0 BRAZIL!!! Neymar opens up the Peru defence before teeing up Paqueta to convert from close range on his left foot. Brazil surge down the left flank and Neymar turns his way from two players with a neat flick. He spots Paqueta in space in the middle and finds his team-mate. The ball takes a slight bobble forcing Paqueta to adjust, but he accounts for it and hammers his effort past Gallese to break the deadlock.
Paqueta tries to thread the needle to find Neymar in the Peru box, but his offload just evades the outstretched boot of the forward.
Casemiro brings the ball forward and is brought down as he offloads to Richarlison in the left-inside channel. The forward attempts a strike, but it's tame and allows Gallese to gather with ease.
Trauco fails to find his target in the Brazil box, allowing the Selecao to clear their lines.
Trauco presses down the left flank and he wins a corner off the legs of Richarlison. Peru can ask questions of the Brazil defence here.
The Selecao have found gaps in the Peru defence, but have lacked a clinical edge in front of goal. Tite's men have to remain patient.
Peru are hanging in there for now, but Brazil have been threatening in the final third.
BLOCK! Fred releases Richarlison down the left flank and he beats Gallese to the ball. He rounds the keeper, but cannot shoot towards goal. The forward lifts a cross into the box instead. Callens clears ahead of Neymar, but Everton gathers the loose ball. He hammers a strike at the net, only to be denied by Callens on the deck.
WIDE! Trauco curls a cross into the box that is headed clear as far as Pena. He goes for a blast on the half-volley, but it is deflected wide off Lapadula.
Peru attempt to stem the tide as Tapia wins a free-kick following a loose challenge from Neymar.
Gallese remains down after the fact after taking a blow to the face. However, he appears to be okay to continue.
CHANCES! Gallese keeps the scores level with three fine saves. Casemiro lines up a blast from distance that the keeper parries away with a dive to his left. Brazil keep the pressure on as Paqueta tees up Neymar with a low cross, but the Peru keeper makes a point-blank stop. Gallese is not done as he diverts a goalbound effort from Richarlison away from the net on the rebound.
Brazil have enjoyed a good start to the game and are asking questions of the Peru defence.
CHANCE! Everton collects an offload from Richarlison on the right flank and takes a step inside to fire a left-footed strike towards goal. He connects well with his attempt, but sends it straight at Gallese.
SAVE! Casemiro hammers a strike towards goal with power. It's straight at Gallese, but he fumbles the ball straight towards Everton. Ramos has to act to divert the ball away from the winger and into the arms of the Peru keeper.
Pena clips Neymar late with an outstretched boot and gives away a free-kick in a useful position for the Selecao.
Paqueta and Yotun collide in the middle of the park, and the Brazil man wants a free-kick. The referee is unmoved, although he stops play to allow Paqueta to get to his feet.
CHANCE! Paqueta opens up the Peru defence with an incisive pass through to Richarlison in the box. The forward takes a neat first touch and advances past Gallese. He works an offload back to Neymar to strike first time, but he places his effort wide of the right post.
Renan Lodi takes possession down the left flank and he tries to find room for a cross. However, Corzo is there to divert the ball out for a corner.
Neymar tries to get his foot on the ball in the Peru half, but his progress is halted before he can move into the final third.

Peru have made one change to their side that beat Paraguay on penalties in their last outing. Andre Carrillo is suspended after he was dismissed in the quarter-final clash. Callens comes into the team to replace him, which sees a reshuffle in the formation as he slots into the backline. Cueva is pushed into an advanced role behind Lapadula, spearheading the attack.
Brazil have made two changes to their side that beat Chile last time out. One is enforced as Jesus misses out due to suspension, while Firmino drops to the bench. The goalscorer Paqueta comes into the side in the final third along with Everton.

Revenge will be on the mind of Peru against the Selecao this evening. Ricardo Gareca's side were beaten 3-1 by Brazil in the Copa America final in 2019, ending their hopes of winning the competiton for the first time since 1975. They were also thrashed 4-0 by Tite's men during the group stage. Peru had to battle past Paraguay in the last eight to advance, requiring penalties to see off their rivals. Miguel Trauco was composed from 12 yards to guide his team over the line, but they will need to be flawless tonight to beat out Brazil.
Brazil booked their place in the last four with a 1-0 victory over Chile last time out. Lucas Paqueta's goal was enough for the Selecao in their quarter-final contest to advance, but they had to display resilience after Gabriel Jesus was given a straight red card early in the second half. Tite's men held their nerve and now have the chance to seal their place in the Copa America final for the second-straight tournament.
