That's all for today's live coverage. Thanks for joining, goodbye!
Simeone's side return to action next Tuesday with a trip to Celta Vigo, while Mallorca have a six-day rest before hosting Levante.
Atletico Madrid tighten their grip on third place in LaLiga with a 3-0 win over strugglers Real Mallorca. Morata opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but only after being allowed to retake the spot-kick - initially saved by Reina - due to an encroachment in the box. The Spain striker added a second from a few yards out before half-time and Koke rounded things off in the second half with a deflected shot from range.
90' + 4' Costa bends his run and is played through one-on-one, only to blaze the shot across the face of goal. The offside flag eventually goes up, anyway.
90' + 2' Kubo cannot quite bring the ball under control at the back post when at full stretch. Mallorca are desperately seeking a goal but have quite simply lacked cutting edge in the final third.
90' + 1' Lago throws himself at a right-sided cross and gets his head to it. The ball comes off Trippier and goes behind for a corner, which Mallorca fail to make the most of.
89' Oblak takes no chances as he slaps the ball to the edge of the penalty area when it arrives in his six-yard box. Kubo turns down the chance to shoot and that proves the wrong choice, with his pass easily dealt with.
87' Costa is a little too clever with his attempted back-heeled pass inside the penalty area and the visitors intercept the ball.
86' WAYWARD! Trippier sends a free-kick towards Costa, who is beaten to it in the air by Raillo. Atletico settle for the corner, which Gimenez hammers over the crossbar when it falls to his feet in the box.
84' Relegation-bound Mallorca are refusing to give up. Kubo thinks he is in behind down the left, only for the offside flag to go up on the far side.
82' Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente has been involved eight goals in his last 12 games in all competitions - four goals and four assists - which is double the number in his previous 96 games.
T. Partey
Atlético Madrid
80' The points now very much in the bag, Simeone introduces Thomas in place of Saul.
P. Chavarría
I. Baba
79' Baba, arguably at fault for that third Atleti goal, makes way for Chavarria in the visitors' final change of the match.
Atlético Madrid
78' GOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 3-0 MALLORCA! This is a little harsh on the visitors as Atletico bag themselves a third goal. Baba's weak headed clearance falls kindly for Koke and the midfielder leaves Reina wrong-footed with his drilled volley, which takes a telling touch off Raillo on its way through.
78' With less than 15 minutes to play at the Wanda Metropolitano, it is time for the second drinks break of the game.
76' Lago is unable to get his head to a dangerous cross. He has a second bite at the cherry moments later when the ball is pulled back to him, but his shot is blocked before it can reach the target.
74' OFF THE BAR! The angle is not on Lodi's side but the substitute full-back has a go at goal anyway. The dipping effort beats Reina but clips the top of the bar on its way behind.
72' Atletico are starting to find their groove again, having sat off in the opening 20 minutes of the second half. They work the ball down the left and have the chance to cross it, but instead it is played all the way back into their own half.
Abdón Prats
J. Hernández
70' The fourth of Mallorca's five available changes sees Abdon come on for Hernandez.
Joan Sastre
Fran Gámez
69' Sastre is on for Gamez in the latest of Mallorca's substitutions.
69' WIDE! Costa brings down Trippier's floated delivery and, despite losing his footing, gets a shot away on the floor with his third touch. The effort is well off target, though.
Diego Costa
Yellow Card
Atlético Madrid
68' Costa catches Baba in the neck with a stray elbow and enters the referee's book.
67' PENALTY APPEAL! Trippier's path is blocked off by Raillo - the Mallorca defender putting his arm across his opposite number's body - but the referee does not see enough contact to warrant a penalty.
65' Atletico do not deal with the initial corner and Sevilla fires over from outside the box. The hosts have to be careful here - they are inviting too much pressure onto themselves.
64' Mallorca have edged possession in the opening 64 minutes - 53 per cent to Atletico's 47 - but Oblak is not being troubled. Atleti are the kings of holding onto leads, as another cross from the right is again cut out.
Renan Lodi
Manu Sánchez
Atlético Madrid
62' Lodi is on for Sanchez at left-back with a little over an hour played.
Diego Costa
Álvaro Morata
Atlético Madrid
62' This match is becoming incredibly stop-start now due to the breaks in play. Two-goal Morata makes way for Costa.
61' SHOT! Kubo reaches the byline before bringing the ball back inside. He thumps a powerful effort towards goal and it strikes Gimenez high on the chest - the Atletico man initially stays down but is soon back to his feet.
60' Mallorca have been the better side since the restart and have created the only two openings of the half so far, without managing to take either of them. Atleti seem to be happy to sit back and protect what they have.
58' Real Mallorca have lost 13 of their 16 away LaLiga matches this season (W1 D2), conceding in each of those games (36 in total before today).
Salva Sevilla
Aleix Febas
57' Febas is replaced by Perez in the second of Mallorca's changes.
L. Junior
A. Trajkovski
57' Moreno turns to his bench for the first time today by bringing on Lago for Trajkovski.
Y. Carrasco
Atlético Madrid
55' Make that a double change as Vitolo is on for Carrasco.
Á. Correa
João Félix
Atlético Madrid
54' Correa replaces Joao Felix in Atletico's first substitution of the contest.
53' DRAGGED WIDE! Pozo creates some space down the right with some superb play and pulls the ball back for Hernandez. The Watford loanee has a clean shot at goal but drags the effort wide of the far post.
51' BLOCK! Trajkovski pulls the trigger from the edge of the box but Gimenez throws himself on top of the ball to make the block - great defending!
49' Llorente, who set up Atletico's second goal, brings the ball under control right on the byline with a nice touch but cannot pick out a team-mate in the centre.
48' Mallorca work the ball well in the final third and create some space for themselves down the right. Carrasco helps out defensively by getting back and halting the opposition attack inside his own box.
46' RESTART! Atletico get us back up and running. Neither coach made any changes at the interval, so it is as you were in that regard.
Simeone will be pleased that his side have a bit of breathing space at the break, but Mallorca have seen a fair bit of the ball and had a couple of opportunities of their own. The hosts have plenty of options on the bench should they wish to use them, with Thomas, Costa, Correa and Lemar among their back-ups.
Atletico lead Mallorca 2-0 at half-time thanks to Morata's double. The hosts had already wasted some promising opportunities when Morata put them ahead from the penalty spot, though only after being allowed to retake the spot-kick due an encroachment in the box. Morata's second was a simple tap-in after being teed up by Llorente just before the interval.
Marcos Llorente
Atlético Madrid
45' + 4' A quick give-and-go set Llorente free and he did well to pick out team-mate Morata a few yards from goal in the centre.
Álvaro Morata
Atlético Madrid
45' + 4' GOAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 2-0 MALLORCA!! Morata doubles both his and Atletico's tally right at the end of the first half with a simple tap-in. Atletico crowd out Trajkovski and Llorente is set free in a right-sided position inside the box. He looks up and squares the ball for Morata to convert.
45' + 3' Morata peels away from Baba and brings the ball down in the box, but the flag goes up for offside - the correct call.
45' + 2' Llorente turns his man in the box but runs out of space to run into and the ball goes out for a goal-kick. Llorente and Carrasco have been heavily involved in this first half.
45' Four minutes have been added on at the end of a pretty frenetic first half.
Yellow Card
Atlético Madrid
44' Saul is cautioned for a challenge on Febas. This has been another promising spell for the visiting side, who trail to a Morata penalty.
42' Sedlar's powerful volley from the edge of the box strikes one of his own team-mates in the back. The visitors need to make these spells of possession count for something.
41' Sanchez is once again picked out in some space down the Atletico left. He does well to roll the ball across the box to Carrasco, who cuts inside and has a shot from 18 yards blocked.
39' Mallorca's spell on top ends without them managing to test Oblak in the Atleti goal. Simeone's side are happy to slowly knock the ball around now that they have the lead.
37' Atletico have adopted a defensive mindset since going a goal ahead. Pozo carries the ball high up the pitch but does not have any options in the middle. The ball is worked out to the left and back to the right, with the cross eventually being dealt with by Savic.
35' The visitors are looking quite steady in possession now. They cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves, with this game very much alive as we fast approach half-time.
33' We are back underway at the Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico are good value for their one-goal lead, though it did come in somewhat fortuitous circumstances.
31' Mallorca's players are furious with the referee's decision to let Morata retake the penalty. Joao Felix squanders another presentable opportunity, and there will now be a short break in play for both teams to take on some water.
Álvaro Morata
Penalty Goal
Atlético Madrid
29' GOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! ATLETICO 1-0 MALLORCA!! Morata makes no mistake with this second penalty, thumping the ball into the top-left corner. There is no stopping that!
28' PENALTY TO BE RETAKEN! Incredible drama here in the Spanish capital. Atletico will be allowed to retake the penalty, seemingly because of encroachment from a Mallorca player, or possibly due to Reina not having a foot on the line.
27' PENALTY SAVED!!! Morata's penalty is pretty poor and Reina makes the save. Morata pounces on the rebound but Sedlar makes up his earlier error by getting a toe to it first.
A. Sedlar
Yellow Card
26' Sedlar is shown a yellow card for that poor piece of defending. Can Morata punish him by converting from 12 yards?
25' PENALTY TO ATLETICO! Sedlar has his hands all over Morata in the box and the Atletico striker eventually goes to ground. The referee rightly points to the penalty spot.
24' JOAO FELIX BLASTS WIDE! The chances keep on coming at both ends! Carrasco pulls the ball back for Joao Felix and he only has Reina to beat, albeit with the angle slightly against him. The Portugal forward goes for power over precision and fails to even find the target from close range.
22' IT SHOULD BE 1-0! Having survived a couple of scares at one end, Mallorca should really be in front. Baba drifts away from his marker and meets Trajkovski's well-delivered free-kick, but he cannot direct the header on target from six yards.
20' Atletico are continuing to probe away in search of an opener. Mallorca have a chance to regroup following Morata's clumsy challenge on Pozo, which leads to a free-kick being awarded.
18' OVER! Morata and Carrasco link up in the box and the latter fires a shot off target from 10 yards - another good chance for the hosts.
17' That last move was undoubtedly Atletico's best of the bench, with Sanchez doing well to remain in an onside position.
16' BIG CHANCE! Sanchez is played in behind down the left and picks out Morata, whose shot is badly miscued. It falls into the path of Llorente in a good position, but his effort is blocked in front of goal.
14' Mallorca have relieved the pressure by getting the ball forward and keeping hold of it for a bit. However, a stray pass is pounced on and Atleti get bodies forward - Carrasco's shot being blocked at the end of the swift counter.
12' SHOT! Atletico are looking particularly lively down their right. Llorente is dispossessed by Gamez, however, and that sparks a Mallorca counter that culminates in Kubo's shot from range being easily dealt with by Oblak.
10' Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in their last eight home matches in LaLiga, winning their last two - they are yet to win three on the bounce at Wanda Metropolitano in the league this season.
8' Morata tries to flick the ball in behind for Llorente down the right. He gets too much on the pass, though, and it trickles out for a goal-kick.
7' Atleti are in complete control of possession in the early stages, pretty much as expected. The visitors will no doubt be aiming to keep things tight for as long as possible.
5' Llorente races into the box and looks ready to shoot. He elects to hold the ball up instead and pull it back for a team-mate, but the first-time cross is dealt with by Mallorca.
3' Atletico win a free-kick out on the right-hand side. Trippier floats it towards the penalty spot but Savic cannot quite get on the end of it.
1' KICK-OFF! Mallorca, looking to give their survival hopes a major boost by recording back-to-back victories, get us up and running.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch at the Wanda Metropolitano, with kick-off just moments away. This match will be played behind closed doors, as will every other LaLiga game for the foreseeable future.
Atletico Madrid have only lost one of their last seven LaLiga games against Real Mallorca - a 2-1 away defeat in March 2012 - while at home it is one loss in 12 league encounters. However, five of the last seven meetings in the Spanish capital have finished all square.
Despite returning to ways last time out, Moreno has also heavily rotated his side by making five changes in total. Ante Budimir misses out through suspension, so Kubo partners Hernandez up top. Sedlar comes in for Martin Valjent, who is also banned, while Gamez, Febas and Trajkovski are recalled.
Atletico show six changes from their 2-2 draw with Barcelona three days ago, three of those alterations coming in defence. Trippier and Sanchez replace Arias and Lodi at full-back, while Savic returns from suspension to take over from Felipe. Further up the field, Koke, Morata and Joao Felix are in for benched trio Correa, Thomas and Costa.
Subs: Joan Sastre, Jesus Ruiz Suarez, Pablo Chavarria, Lago Junior, Miquel Parera, Fran Gonzalez, Yannis Salibur, Abdon Prats, Salva Sevilla, Luka Romero, Xisco Campos, Josep Sene.
MALLORCA XI (4-4-2): Manolo Reina (c); Fran Gamez, Aleksander Sedlar, Antonio Raillo, Alejandro Pozo; Dani Rodriguez, Iddrisu Baba, Aleix Febas, Aleksandar Trajkovski; Juan Hernandez, Takefusa Kubo.
Subs: Antonio Adan, Toni Moya, Diego Costa, Alvaro Garcia, Santiago Arias, Renan Lodi, Vitolo, Thomas Partey, Ivan Saponjic, Hector Herrera, Angel Correa, Thomas Lemar.
ATLETICO XI (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Kieran Trippier, Jose Gimenez, Stefan Savic, Manuel Sanchez; Yannick Carrasco, Saul Niguez, Koke (c), Marcos Llorente; Joao Felix, Alvaro Morata.
Mallorca are struggling at the opposite end of the division and are running out of time to drag themselves out of the bottom three. Vicente Moreno's side ended a five game winless run in style last time out by thrashing Celta Vigo 5-1, however, and can move to within two points of 17th-place Celta should they pick up a surprise victory in the Spanish capital.
Atletico have been in good form since returning to LaLiga action last month, most recently drawing 2-2 away at Barcelona in midweek to make it 14 points collected from the 18 on offer. Diego Simeone's men have climbed into third in the division and can move eight points clear of fifth-place Villarreal with victory today.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the LaLiga meeting between Atletico Madrid and Real Mallorca at the Wanda Metropolitano.
