Commentary

We hope you've enjoyed our coverage of a dramatic Europa League final triumph for Sevilla! It's goodbye from us, and we'll see you next time!
Mourinho's perfect record in major European finals is over – not even 'The Special One' can break Sevilla's remarkable grasp on Europe's secondary club competition. Sevilla were battling to survive in LaLiga when Mendilibar took charge in March, now they will lift the Europa League trophy again, and will be competing in the Champions League next season!
Gonzalo Montiel – Argentina's hero in last year's World Cup final shoot-out – repeats the trick as Sevilla clinch a dramatic victory over Roma to win the Europa League for the seventh time! A bad-tempered affair always looked likely to go the distance after Mancini's own goal cancelled out Dybala's opener, and there was more woe awaiting the Roma defender in the shoot-out. He and Ibanez failed to net from the spot, allowing Montiel to break the Giallorossi's hearts!
Montiel gets a second chance to win the Europa League for Sevilla… AND SCORES!!!!! SEVILLA WIN THE EUROPA LEAGUE ONCE AGAIN! The right-back hammers his kick to the left-hand side, sending Patricio the wrong way to win the shoot-out 4-1! SEVILLA REIGN SUPREME IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE!
Montiel to win it... SAVED! PATRICIO KEEPS IT OUT! The Argentine goes to the goalkeeper's left, and puts it too close to Patricio! But wait, the Roma goalkeeper came off his line too early... the kick will be retaken! This is remarkable!
Ibanez steps up… IT'S OFF THE POST! SEVILLA ARE ON THE BRINK! The Roma defender looks to find the bottom-left corner, but his kick crashes off the foot of the post and away! Montiel has the chance to win it for Sevilla now – just as he did for Argentina at the World Cup!
Rakitic for Sevilla... SCORES! 3-1 TO THE LALIGA SIDE! Was there any doubt? The Croatian calmly whips his kick into the bottom-left corner. Roma are under big pressure now...
Mancini next for Roma... AND HIS KICK IS SAVED BY BOUNOU! ADVANTAGE SEVILLA! Mancini strikes his kick straight down the middle, and Bounou repels it with his legs! Sevilla lead 2-1 after two kicks for each team!
Lamela takes Sevilla's second kick... AND MAKES IT 2-1! Patricio has no chance as the winger rolls his effort into the bottom-right corner!
Cristante to respond for Roma… GREAT PENALTY! Bounou goes the right way, but the Roma midfielder powers his kick beyond the goalkeeper's dive and into the bottom-left corner! 1-1!
Ocampos is up first…. HE SCORES!!! The Sevilla man coolly sends Patricio the wrong way to put Sevilla 1-0 up in the shoot-out!
The coin tosses have been completed, Sevilla will take the first kick in front of their own fans!
Roma will be without their two foremost attacking stars – Abraham and Dybala – for this shoot-out, with both men walking gingerly from the field in the second half. Something has to give now, will Sevilla win a record-extending seventh Europa League, or will Mourinho maintain his perfect record in European finals?
A penalty shoot-out will decide this Europa League final! Neither team created a clear-cut chance in a stop-start period of extra time, until Smalling gave Sevilla a late scare when his header looped up onto the top of the crossbar! This final always looked like going the distance, and a nail-biting finish awaits fans of Roma and Sevilla in Budapest!
120' + 13' END OF EXTRA TIME: SEVILLA 1-1 ROMA
120' + 12' OFF THE CROSSBAR! Smalling peels away to the back post from the corner, and his header loops up onto the top of the bar! Bounou was struggling to get there, but much to Sevilla's relief, the woodwork denies Roma a dramatic winner!
120' + 11' It's swung in towards Cristante, but a Sevilla man gets there first to concede a corner!
R. Karsdorp
Yellow Card
120' + 10' Roma substitute Karsdorp has also been booked in an increasingly bizarre finish.
L. Ocampos
Yellow Card
120' + 10' Ocampos is booked for his reaction to Lamela's foul.
120' + 10' Finally, after a raft of injuries and substitutions, Zalewski can swing in a free-kick from the left. It's a good delivery… but Bounou punches clear! Lamela then trips Ibanez, that's yet another Roma free-kick!
Joan Jordán
Fernando
120' + 8' Fernando is also moving gingerly, so he is replaced by Jordan, who enters the game with a yellow card already to his name.
Marcão
N. Gudelj
120' + 8' Gudelj limps from the field, unable to continue. Marcao replaces him in a like-for-like switch, with Roma waiting to get the game back under way with a free-kick from the left.
120' + 5' Gudelj is still down inside his own area as Sevilla prepare another substitution.
Y. Bounou
Penalty Save
120' + 4' Penalty Save Yassine Bounou
G. Montiel
Yellow Card
120' + 4' Gudelj and Ibanez are both treated following a coming-together, as more players surround the referee. Montiel talks his way into the latest booking to be issued by Taylor.
Y. Bounou
Penalty Save
120' + 3' Penalty Save Yassine Bounou
120' + 3' Now Roma win a free-kick on the right wing after a careless foul from Lamela. Zalewski hoists it in, but Sevilla clear their lines as both Ibanez and Gudelj stay down in the box.
120' + 2' En-Nesyri attacks a right-wing cross in a crowded area… but he can only head into the ground, and Patricio can fall on the ball.
Joan Jordán
Yellow Card
120' + 1' Sevilla substitute Jordan has also been booked for his part in that confrontation between the benches.
120' + 1' Mourinho appeared to be shown a yellow card during that tussle on the sidelines. The fourth official, meanwhile, has signalled an additional six minutes of stoppage time!
E. Bove
N. Matić
120' Bove, who scored the only goal of Roma's semi-final tie against Bayer Leverkusen, replaces Matic.
119' Having initially continued, Matic goes down again, sparking a confrontation between players and coaches from both benches. Sevilla's staff are fuming at what they perceive to be gamesmanship from their opponents.
117' The difference between normal time and extra time here has been stark, with a full-blooded first 90 minutes followed by a low-key additional period. Sevilla are in possession again – can they find a dramatic winner?
116' Now Matic is down, seemingly suffering from cramp. He receives treatment as the stop-start nature of this extra time period continues.
115' Lamela drives at the heart of Roma's backline and shoots on his left foot, but Smalling blocks it at source. Montiel's subsequent cross is also headed away by the Englishman.
113' Sevilla stand firm to repel Roma's set-piece. The Giallorossi didn't overcommit for that chance, wary of making any mistakes.
112' After a long stoppage, Ibanez has been patched up and we are under way again. Belotti wins a corner off Gudelj.
111' Roma's tally of six yellow cards in this game is the joint-highest recorded in a UEFA Cup/Europa League final, with Galatasaray picking up the same amount in 2000. This match has certainly been played on the edge, but so far, both teams have stayed on the right side of it.
E. Lamela
Yellow Card
110' Lamela is booked in the aftermath of that incident, with Ibanez still down and getting treatment. This will result in more time being added on at the end of the 120 minutes.
108' Sevilla are furious as Lamela bursts away from Ibanez in midfield, only for the Roma man to go down clutching his face. The referee gives the Giallorossi a free-kick, ruling Lamela led with his elbow.
107' Gudelj isn't closed down as he strikes from range… but he pulls a weak effort well wide. Patricio was never likely to be troubled by that shot!
105' Sevilla get the ball rolling for the second half of extra time, looking for a winner to clinch a seventh UEFA Cup/Europa League triumph!
S. El Shaarawy
L. Pellegrini
105' Attacker El Shaarawy, meanwhile, is on for Pellegrini.
Diego Llorente
L. Spinazzola
105' Roma make two further changes ahead of kick-off, with Llorente replacing Spinazzola in the first of those alterations.
Mourinho is giving an animated team talk to his troops out on the Puskas Arena pitch. Both he and opposite number Mendilibar will be desperate to avoid any mistakes here, while hoping someone can provide a moment of magic to avoid a shoot-out!
We are just 15 minutes away from a penalty shoot-out deciding the Europa League final! Neither team looked willing to take many risks in the first period of extra time, with no real chances to speak of. Sevilla have continued to boss possession, but Roma have defended resolutely.
105' + 2' HALF-TIME IN EXTRA TIME: SEVILLA 1-1 ROMA
105' + 1' Sevilla win a corner on the left… but it's a tired delivery from Rakitic, drifting over everyone and behind as we enter two minutes of stoppage time.
N. Zalewski
Yellow Card
105' Zalewski enters the book for a trip on Suso. Roma have now had six players cautioned in this final.
104' You wonder whether playing for spot-kicks is a strategy that would suit Sevilla better, given Roma will be deprived of Abraham and Dybala. If the game continues in this vein, a shoot-out looks likely.
103' Ocampos looks for En-Nesyri… but his cross is massively overhit and there's no danger for Roma. The opening period of extra time has rather drifted by, with neither side willing to take many risks.
101' Matic limps away from a challenge as Patricio punts a free-kick downfield for Roma. With Abraham and Dybala off the field, Roma are spending long periods out of possession and looking to capitalise on set-pieces.
100' Rekik has taken Telles' place at left-back, getting forward to link up with Lamela. There's no route through a packed Roma backline, so Sevilla work it back across to the other side.
98' Suso delivers an in-swinging cross but, once again, Smalling is there to head away. He's made eight clearances in this game – only Ibanez (nine) has made more for Roma.
96' Cristante raids forward for Roma and wins a corner off Rakitic. Pellegrini delivers the set-piece, but Sevilla defend it well.
G. Montiel
Jesús Navas
95' Captain Navas, meanwhile, is replaced by Montiel. The Argentine scored the winning penalty in last year's World Cup final, and he may be required to step up from 12 yards again here...
K. Rekik
Alex Telles
94' Telles is unable to continue, so Rekik comes on in his place.
94' Telles goes down after that foray forward and requires treatment. Mendilibar is about to turn to his bench, with two substitutes ready to enter the action.
92' Roma sit back in their shape as Sevilla start the opening period of extra time by retaining possession. Zalewski's first involvement is to force Telles out of play for a Roma goal-kick.
91' This is the third consecutive Europa League final to go to extra time, after only two of the first 11 post-rebrand finals (since 2009-10) did so.
90' Roma get the first half of extra time under way!
N. Zalewski
Z. Çelik
90' Mourinho calls for fresh legs ahead of the additional half-hour. Zalewski replaces cautioned wing-back Celik.
Sevilla and Roma cannot be separated in 90 minutes, and this Europa League final is going to extra time! Dybala's first-half strike had the Giallorossi on course for more European glory, but Sevilla came flying out of the traps after the restart, levelling when Navas' cross flew in off Roma defender Mancini. Abraham and his replacement Belotti have missed glaring chances to win it for Roma, while Sevilla had a potential penalty chalked off following a VAR review! It's still all to play for!
90' + 7' END OF 90 MINUTES: SEVILLA 1-1 ROMA
90' + 6' Hearts in mouths for Roma! Suso cuts inside to fire a low shot at goal, which Patricio fails to hold. Sevilla keep it alive and Fernando is able to strike from range… but he drags his effort wide! That must be it for the 90 minutes!
90' + 4' Ocampos is penalised for handball as another Sevilla attack breaks down. Roma have created the two best chances since Sevilla's equaliser, but both came from set-pieces and they now look content to settle for extra time.
90' + 3' Over! Suso works a one-two down the right and crosses for En-Nesyri. The Sevilla frontman beats Smalling to the header 12 yards out, but he can't keep it down and it flies over Patricio's goal!
90' + 1' We're into six additional minutes at the end of the 90! Will we get a dramatic winner, or is this one going the distance?
90' Ocampos briefly looks to have broken in behind, but Spinazzola races back to dispossess the Sevilla man and play the ball off him and out. Other than one lapse for Mancini's own goal, Roma have defended very well.
89' The prospect of extra time – and potentially penalties – is looming large now, but with the amount of stoppages we've had, there could be a good deal of time added on at the end of this one.
87' Ocampos launches a long throw into Roma's area, where Matic rises highest to clear. Sevilla regroup with possession on halfway, looking to prise the Giallorossi open again.
86' Smalling is on hand again to head the set-piece away. He's been rock-solid at the heart of Roma's back three.
85' We're into the final five minutes of the 90 as Suso shoots from range… his effort hits Ibanez, and flies behind for a Sevilla corner!
83' WHAT A CHANCE FOR BELOTTI! Roma should be ahead as Sevilla are caught napping by a quick free-kick over the top. Belotti strikes it on the volley, but his left-footed effort skims wide! Bounou looked to have got a touch, but the striker's effort was heading off target anyway. He had to bury that one!
81' Now Taylor goes over to the dugout to issue another yellow card to a member of Roma's coaching staff. This game has been threatening to boil over from the off.
80' Spinazzola's cross brushes Bade's arm in the area, and Roma's players – once again – surround Taylor to demand a spot-kick. VAR takes a look at the incident, but the Sevilla defender had his arm in a natural position – no penalty!
79' Smalling reads the game well to clear ahead of En-Nesyri. The Sevilla striker then goes down following another tussle with the Englishman, but the referee is unmoved.
78' Mourinho can breathe a sigh of relief following that VAR intervention, but Sevilla are attempting to up the ante again as we approach the closing stages.
77' NO PENALTY! The referee watches the incident back and overturns his initial decision! Mancini did make contact with Ocampos, but there was probably not enough force to send the Sevilla man over, and Roma escape!
76' PENALTY TO SEVILLA! Ocampos weaves his way past Mancini in the area, and the Roma defender dangles a foot and brings the Sevilla man down. Giallorossi players swarm Anthony Taylor, and the referee is advised to head over to the pitchside monitor for a VAR review!
A. Belotti
T. Abraham
75' Roma make another change in attack, as Abraham appears to be moving gingerly. Belotti replaces the former Chelsea striker, who has missed Roma's best chance since half-time.
Z. Çelik
Yellow Card
74' Celik hauls Lamela down as the former Tottenham man attempts a one-two with Telles. The right wing-back is the fifth Roma player to be cautioned in a tetchy affair.
72' Sevilla's corner is headed clear. They then win a free-kick on the right flank, but Ocampos is caught offside from Suso's deep delivery.
71' A prolonged spell of Sevilla possession ends with Navas lifting another delightful cross into the six-yard box, but the ball is missed by everyone. Telles then fires in a shot, which deflects behind for a corner.
70' It will be interesting to see how Roma create chances in Dybala's absence. He provided a valuable link between Abraham and the midfield, a role Pellegrini and Wijnaldum will have to assume.
G. Wijnaldum
P. Dybala
68' Dybala's goal made him the first Argentine to score in a major European final since Lionel Messi did so for Barcelona in the 2011 Champions League showpiece. He was never likely to last the full 90 minutes however, and Mourinho withdraws him in favour of Wijnaldum.
67' CHANCE FOR ABRAHAM! Pellegrini's free-kick is headed down by Ibanez, and Abraham attempts to hook the ball in on the turn from six yards out. He flicks it towards goal, but Bounou blocks at close range, and Ibanez can only scuff the rebound wide! Roma should be 2-1 up!
B. Cristante
Yellow Card
65' Cristante is also booked as Roma's players swarm the referee again.
I. Rakitić
Yellow Card
65' Rakitic is shown a yellow card for a foul on Celik. That challenge provokes another clash between both groups of players.
64' Dybala appears to pull up awkwardly after making an attempt to press Bade. He's been Roma's most threatening attacker – Mourinho cannot afford to lose him.
63' Sevilla had 74.6 per cent of the possession in the opening 15 minutes of the second half. Whatever Mendilibar said at half-time clearly did the trick!
62' Pellegrini's free-kick is straight into the wall, but the second delivery finds Smalling peeling to the back post. The former Manchester United man heads it down, but it bounces into the hands of Bounou.
61' Matic wins a foul 30 yards from the Sevilla goal, giving the Giallorossi their first opportunity to threaten this half. Pellegrini and Dybala are over the free-kick…
60' There have only been two own goals scored in Europa League finals, both to the benefit of Sevilla: Romelu Lukaku for Inter in 2019 and Mancini in this game.
58' A poor free-kick is headed out, but Sevilla come straight back and En-Nesyri volleys across goal. Smalling gets there before any white shirt can, clearing with an excellent diving header.
57' Now Celik fouls Telles, and Sevilla have another set-piece opportunity. Roma need cool heads here – their opponents are in the ascendency.
56' Sevilla have certainly stepped things up since the restart, and few would begrudge them their equaliser! It's unfortunate for Mancini, but Navas deserves plenty of credit for a tempting cross into the corridor of uncertainty.
G. Mancini
Own Goal
55' GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAL! SEVILLA LEVEL THE FINAL AT 1-1! The pressure tells as Mancini puts through his own net! Navas plays a fine cross towards the front post, where Ocampos is attacking it. The Sevilla man fails to make contact with his flicked attempt, but the ball cannons off Mancini and beyond Patricio!
53' Ocampos tricks his way past Spinazzola and wins a free-kick on the right. Suso whips it towards the area, but it doesn't beat the first Giallorossi shirt.
52' Over! That's much better from Sevilla as they work the ball from one end to the other, with Lamela stepping inside to feed Telles on the underlap. The Manchester United loanee fires at goal, but his shot is just too high!
50' Ibanez scruffily clears ahead of Ocampos following a left-wing cross from Telles. There's a quick VAR check for handball, but play is swiftly resumed – nothing doing!
49' Suso and Lamela were the protagonists of Sevilla's semi-final turnaround against Juventus and have joined Ocampos in support of lone striker En-Nesyri. Can they make the difference against another Italian outfit?
G. Mancini
Yellow Card
48' Sevilla have started this half with greater urgency. Mancini pulls substitute Suso back on halfway and deservedly receives a yellow card.
47' Roma are looking to win major European titles in consecutive seasons, a feat which has been achieved by an Italian club on four previous occasions – Inter in 1964 and 1965, Milan in 1968 and 1969, Juventus in 1984 and 1985, and Milan again in 1989 and 1990. The Giallorossi are just a clean sheet away from joining that list!
46' Sevilla kick us off for the second half of the Europa League final! Can they find a response to Dybala's opener?
Suso
Óliver Torres
46' Suso also scored in the win over Juve, and he has replaced the ineffective Torres.
E. Lamela
Bryan Gil
46' Mendilibar has turned to his bench at the break. Lamela scored the winner in their semi-final tie against Juventus, and he will replace Gil on the right.
Sevilla have their work cut out if they are to win a record-extending seventh title, with Roma sure to make things difficult now they have a lead to protect. Los Blanquirrojos have only recorded one shot on target despite enjoying 60 per cent of the possession, and Mendilibar will be demanding more creativity.
It's half-time in the Europa League final, and Mourinho's Roma are 45 minutes away from back-to-back European successes! Much of the build-up was dominated by talk of Dybala's availability, and having shaken off an ankle injury, he struck first with a neat finish after being teed up by Mancini. Sevilla failed to threaten for much of the opening period, but Rakitic's spectacular effort bounced back off the woodwork on the stroke of half-time, issuing a warning to Roma.
45' + 7' HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 0-1 ROMA
45' + 6' OFF THE POST! Sevilla almost level from nowhere as Rakitic cannons a left-footed shot off the base of the post from 25 yards out! Patricio had no chance with that, but the woodwork saved Roma!
45' + 5' Navas picks out a teasing cross, but Roma's back three are queueing up to head it clear, before Abraham helps it on further from the Giallorossi goal – they are looking to get to the interval.
45' + 4' Gil's cross deflects up into the air and is cleared by Mancini, but Sevilla keep the pressure on. Roma are having to sit back as the first half draws to a close.
45' + 3' Sevilla aren't getting enough bodies into Roma's area. Ocampos opens up his body and fires a cross to the back post, but En-Nesyri is the only Sevilla player anywhere near it, and Roma can clear.
45' + 1' We're into seven additional minutes at the end of this half! That number is the product of several clashes of heads early on.
L. Pellegrini
Yellow Card
45' Pellegrini is booked for a ridiculous dive, attempting to win a penalty after being teed up by Dybala in the area. The Roma man clearly initiated the contact with a defender before throwing himself to the ground, and that's good officiating from Taylor.
44' Over! Fernando meets the corner at the far post, but he's unable to keep his header down and it sails over!
43' Ibanez does brilliantly to get ahead of Ocampos from a teasing cross, nodding behind for a Sevilla corner. The Roma bench wanted a foul on the defender, with Mourinho in the ear of fourth official Michael Oliver.
42' Roma have won six of their seven games when opening the scoring in the Europa League this season, only losing once. That record is an ominous one for Sevilla.
40' The free-kick is swung towards Roma pair Smalling and Ibanez at the back post, but the latter fouls his man, allowing Sevilla to escape the pressure.
39' An in-swinging cross is glanced into Patricio's hands by En-Nesyri. Roma then go up the other end and Dybala wins a foul off Rakitic, going down somewhat theatrically on the right flank.
37' The Roma supporters are absolutely bouncing behind Patricio's goal now, with thick smoke from flares descending onto the pitch. There's a long way to go, but Roma are in a great position now!
Rafa Mir
Yellow Card
36' Sevilla substitute Rafa Mir is shown a yellow card for dissent as the referee makes his way over to the dugouts following the goal. It's been very lively on the sidelines early on!
G. Mancini
Assist
35' Mancini is credited with the assist, stepping into midfield to play a line-breaking pass into Dybala. Matic deserves credit for his off-the-ball work, however, having robbed Rakitic in the build-up! The Croatian wanted a foul, but there wasn't enough in that.
P. Dybala
Goal
35' GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLL! DYBALA PUTS ROMA AHEAD! The Giallorossi strike first in the Europa League final from a lightning break! Rakitic appeals for a foul after losing possession to Matic in the centre-circle, but the referee plays on and Mancini steps in to find Dybala in space. The Argentine shifts the ball to his left foot, and tucks a finish into the bottom-right corner! 1-0!
32' A quick VAR review clears that incident, having looked at it as a potential penalty. Gudelj clearly connected with the ball, and though Abraham may have been caught on the follow-through, he's fine to continue.
31' The Roma players surround referee Anthony Taylor after Abraham goes down in the box. He's holding his head, having apparently been caught by Gudelj as the Sevilla defender cleared a bouncing ball.
30' Gudelj is alert to nod Matic's angled ball out of play, denying Dybala the chance to break in behind. There's then a brief stoppage to collect a flare thrown onto the pitch from the Roma end.
29' This is the 14th instance of a Spanish side facing an Italian club in the final of a major European competition, with Spanish teams being crowned champions on nine of the previous 13 occasions, including each of the last three in a row. Sevilla are enjoying a lot of possession, but offering little threat.
27' We're well past the midway point in this opening period, and that early chance for Spinazzola actually remains the only shot recorded by either team. It's been a tense affair thus far.
26' Ibanez is fine to continue following that incident, having been caught by an unintentional follow-through from the Sevilla striker.
25' The game has suddenly become scrappy, with Pellegrini's heavy touch halting a Roma break and allowing Sevilla to come forward again. The attack ends with a wayward effort from Torres, but the whistle had gone for En-Nesyri's foul on Ibanez.
23' Rakitic lifts the deep free-kick into Roma's area, but Smalling clears. Torres then delivers from the right, but a sea of Giallorossi shirts are there to repel the attack.
N. Matić
Yellow Card
22' Matic becomes the first player to be booked, much to Mourinho's fury. The former Chelsea and Manchester United man led with his arm in a duel with Ocampos, leaving the Sevilla winger in a heap.
20' En-Nesyri is now penalised following an aerial challenge with Mancini. That allows Roma to get back on the front foot, but Spinazzola's cross from the left is blocked.
18' Celik is back on his feet and able to re-enter the action as Patricio thumps the Roma free-kick downfield.
17' Fernando tries to find Telles with a big switch of play, but Celik beats him to the hanging ball, and a clash of heads ensues between the duo. The Roma man is down and receiving treatment.
15' Navas and Torres combine well to win possession from Abraham in the Sevilla half, before the latter earns a free-kick. This is a good spell for Roma, however.
14' Sevilla have won six major European titles to date, with each one coming in the UEFA Cup/Europa League. Should they win their seventh title here, only five sides will have more major European trophies – Real Madrid (16), Barcelona (12), Milan, Liverpool (nine each) and Bayern Munich (eight).
12' Now Bounou has to race out to stop Abraham sneaking onto a ball in behind. Sevilla are enjoying more possession early on, but Roma look extremely dangerous on the break.
11' GREAT CHANCE! Roma work the first opening of this final! Spinazzola picks out Dybala with a fine cross-field pass, and the Argentine slips it into Celik. His cut-back finds Spinazzola unmarked 12 yards out, but his finish is too close to Bounou!
10' Roma break up the field and Dybala goes down under Gudelj's tackle, winning a free-kick. The World Cup winner soon gets back to his feet – keeping him fit and involved will be key for Roma.
9' Rakitic signals that something has been thrown at him from the Roma end, in scenes nobody wants to see. The Croatian eventually swings in the corner, but Abraham is back to head it away.
8' The Roma fans jeer as Sevilla work the ball patiently from side to side, with the Giallorossi sitting back in a 5-3-2 shape, Pellegrini joining the midfield line. Fernando wins a first corner for Sevilla, crossing off Smalling and behind.
6' Aged 37 years and 191 days, Sevilla skipper Navas is the oldest outfielder to start a UEFA Cup/Europa League final since Rangers' David Weir in 2008 (38 years and four days). Incredibly, the Spaniard also started Sevilla's 2006 UEFA Cup final victory against Middlesbrough!
5' Torres attempts to latch onto a ball into the right-hand channel for Sevilla, but Matic sees it behind for a Roma goal-kick.
4' Gudelj and Ibanez are both able to swiftly re-enter the action, as Sevilla look to build an attack patiently.
3' Pellegrini's kick is nodded away, but the referee soon blows his whistle following a clash of heads between Ibanez and Gudelj. The Sevilla man looks to have come off worse, and is receiving treatment.
2' Both teams are kitted out in their traditional colours for this one – Sevilla in all white and Roma in the famous Giallorossi. The Serie A side win an early corner as Celik's throw-in is nodded behind.
1' The atmosphere is predictably electric as the Europa League anthem rings out around the Puskas Arena! Dybala then gets this final under way!
Should Roma win the Europa League, Mourinho will become the most decorated manager in the history of major European competitions, going clear of Giovanni Trapattoni, who also won five titles. Can 'The Special One' mastermind another famous win? The players are out, and kick-off is approaching!
Roma also shuffled their pack in anticipation of this game, with Smalling the only player to start Saturday's league loss at Fiorentina and do likewise here. Mourinho has received a huge boost in attack, with Dybala recovering from an ankle injury to start in support of Abraham, who has already won the Champions League and Europa Conference League. He could complete the set here.
Sevilla make seven changes to the heavily-rotated side which lost 2-1 to Real Madrid on Saturday, naming a team showing just one change to that which beat Juventus 2-1 in the second leg of their semi-final tie. Marcos Acuna is the only semi-final starter to miss out, suspended after receiving two yellow cards in that game.

Roma ended a 14-year trophy drought by winning the Europa Conference League last year, and they are looking to follow up their first major European triumph with another one here. Mourinho's men cannot finish in Serie A's top four, with the final weekend of their domestic season bringing a battle for fifth place, but success in this game would make that irrelevant, ending their four-year Champions League exile.
Something has to give here as Sevilla – who have won all six of their previous UEFA Cup/Europa League finals – face Roma, with Giallorossi boss Mourinho looking for his sixth win in as many major European finals in his career. Sevilla have pulled clear of LaLiga's relegation battle and could yet finish seventh after a terrific upturn under Jose Luis Mendilibar. However, a record-extending seventh title in this competition – and qualification for the Champions League – will be their primary aim.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Europa League final from the Puskas Arena in Budapest, as six-time winners Sevilla face Jose Mourinho's Roma for the trophy!
