Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Roma and Mourinho will be very disappointed in how they dropped two points after taking the lead so late on. Milan remain in fourth thanks to that late goal from Saelemaekers, in what was a difficult game at Stadio Olimpico. Roma travel to Monza for their next match while Milan host Cremonese.
It was a fairly quiet first half from both Roma and Milan as neither side managed to register a shot on target. Pellegrini had the best chance of the first period after Spinazzola cut the ball back to the midfielder in the box, but his effort was blocked by team-mate Abraham in the six-yard box. Milan struggled to work the ball into dangerous positions as the home side defended in an organised manner. Tomori had a half-chance toward the end of the half, but it remained goalless at the break. The second period was following the same pattern before the match exploded into life in injury time. Abraham thought he scored the winner in the 93rd minute after he fired the ball past Maignan, but Leao assisted Saelemaeker with a wonderful cross four minutes later for Milan to equalise. Both shots on target in the game went in as the match ended 1-1.

A draw would keep Milan above Roma in the Serie A table, but it would be a bad result for either side. Roma would certainly want to make use of their home advantage today and take all three points.

44' Calabria tries his luck with a half-volley, but he slices the ball wide of the left post. Milan are finding it difficult to create a lot of chances.

9' Diaz tries to catch out the Roma defence and play Bennacer through on goal, but his pass is overhit and Patricio collects the ball.
7' When Roma win the ball, they are looking to play very direct and find Abraham with an early pass. The striker is doing well to run into the channels and hold the ball up for his team.
5' The tempo of this match is quite slow at the moment as Milan patiently wait for an opening in the Roma defence. The hosts look comfortable when defending for now.
3' Milan are controlling possession in the early stages of this game. Roma are carrying out a very relaxed press.
1' Milan get the game underway at Stadio Olimpico!
The players are making their way out of the tunnel and onto the pitch!

Mourinho makes four changes as Kumbulla, Matic, Spinazzola, and Belotti all start. Pioli also makes four changes to his Milan side as Calabria, Kjaer, Bennacer, and Giroud enter the starting 11.

Milan are high on confidence at the moment as they are unbeaten in six games in all competitions and have qualified for the last four of the Champions League. Although Stefano Pioli’s title defence has not gone to plan, if they could finish in the top four and beat rivals Inter in the semi-final, it would be considered a good season. Milan’s away record has not been fantastic this year, winning just 23 points from 16 games on the road.
Roma are in fifth place heading into this game and behind today’s opponents on goals scored in the league. Jose Mourinho’s side are looking to get back into the Champions League as six sides fight for the final three spots. They were on a three-game winning run until Atalanta beat them 3-1 last week, causing Roma to drop out of the top four.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Serie A clash between Roma and Milan.
