Commentary

That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us, goodbye!
PSG are now 12 points clear at the top of the table, and Pochettino's men will get the chance to push on when they travel to Clermont next weekend, while Lorient will face Saint-Etienne on home soil.
PSG bounce back from their defeat to Monaco in style, as they score five past Lorient in their first game back after the international break. Mbappe was the star of the show, but Neymar's two goals also helped them on their way. It was the Brazilian who opened the scoring, while Pochettino's side were 2-0 up at the break, thanks to Mbappe's powerful drive. Lorient managed to pull a goal back after an improved performance at the start of the second half, but Moffi's strike was nothing but a consolation after further goals from Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. PSG's world-class front three ran the show in the end, and they deserved all three points.
90' + 3' FULL-TIME - PSG 5-1 LORIENT.
90' + 1' Three minutes of stoppage time to come in Paris!
K. Mbappé
Assist
90' Mbappe has been a class above the rest of the players this evening, and he now has three assists to go alongside his two goals. It has been a pleasure to watch him this evening!
Neymar
Goal
90' GOAAAALLL - PSG 5-1 LORIENT - Never in doubt, was it? Neymar grabs his second of the evening, and despite a slow start to the second half, PSG have run riot on home soil. Mbappe was inevitably the man that grabbed the assist as he slotted his pass into the channel, allowing Neymar to race towards goal. He showed tremendous composure, and PSG get their fifth goal at the death!
F. Lemoine
E. Le Fée
89' Le Fee's night is over, with Lemoine getting a few minutes of action.
Igor Silva
T. Monconduit
89' Another substitution for Lorient as Monconduit is replaced by Silva.
86' With Ramos now on the pitch, PSG have controlled the game a lot better, but they have been helped by Lorient's lack of attacking intent since the fourth goal.
82' CLOSE! Mbappe misses the chance to score a hat-trick by inches as he sees his right-footed strike whistle past the far post. He deserves to score a third tonight, and he has less than 10 minutes to do so!
T. Kehrer
Danilo Pereira
80' Pochettino freshens up his midfield, with Danilo Pereira replaced by Kehrer.
79' That is 12 assists now for Mbappe this season, which is more than any other player in Ligue 1.
A. Laurienté
D. Ouattara
77' Ouattara's night is also over, with Lauriente on in his place.
Q. Boisgard
T. Moffi
77' Further changes for Lorient as Moffi makes way for Boisgard.
K. Mbappé
Assist
73' Mbappe showed great vision to pick out Messi, and his night continues to get better as the minutes tick by.
L. Messi
Goal
73' GOAAALLLL - PSG 4-1 LORIENT - Messi grabs his first goal of the night, but he wastes no time and rushes to thank Mbappe, who now has two goals and two assists inside the first 75 minutes. Just when PSG's latest attack looked to be coming to nothing, Mbappe raced into the box and kept the play alive before cutting his cross into Messi's path. The former Barcelona ace took a touch before smashing the ball in off the crossbar.
Sergio Ramos
Marquinhos
72' Pochettino tries to give his defence a lift as Ramos replaces Marquinhos.
71' CHANCE! The home fans go wild as Donnarumma and Marquinhos keep Ouattara and Le Fee at bay with some last-ditch defending. PSG need to show some resilience in the final 20 minutes, and that latest Lorient chance proves the visitors will not go down without a fight.
S. Soumano
I. Koné
68' Pelissier reacts to PSG's third goal by sending on Soumano, with Kone the one to make way.
A. Hakimi
Assist
67' After his shocking pass for Lorient's goal, Hakimi restores some pride with a determined assist for Mbappe's second of the night.
K. Mbappé
Goal
67' GOAAALLLL - PSG 3-1 LORIENT - He has done it again. Mbappe restores PSG's two-goal cushion, while Hakimi makes amends in the process. The PSG right-back won the ball back high up the pitch before squaring his pass to Mbappe. The young striker did the rest as he waited for Lorient's defence to pressurise him before then firing his shot into the bottom-left corner as Dreyer stood still.
63' It feels like a totally different team have put on PSG's jerseys and then started to play for the club in the second half. The home side looks like a shadow of themselves, and they really need to regain control.
60' Ramos has started to warm up near the dugouts, and Pochettino could be forced to turn to him if he wants his side to hang on for three points.
59' Lorient have now scored in their last three Ligue 1 away games, and with PSG out of form, they will fancy their chances of drawing level.
P. Kimpembe
Yellow Card
57' Kimpembe is the latest player to be carded after he crunches into Abergel near the halfway line.
T. Moffi
Goal
56' GOAAAALLL - PSG 2-1 LORIENT - Moffi pounces on a shocking pass from Hakimi, and PSG only have themselves to blame. The PSG right-back put Marquinhos under all sorts of pressure after a lazy pass across the box, and Moffi got to the ball first before prodding home past Donnarumma.
I. Gueye
Yellow Card
53' Gueye is shown a yellow card after a clumsy challenge on the edge of the box.
52' To be fair to Lorient, they have come out of the dressing room with more confidence; now all they need is a goal to put pressure on PSG.
48' WIDE! Lorient should have a goal back, but Le Fee's right-footed shot just misses the far post, and PSG get away with some poor defending.
46' We are back under way in Paris.
The hosts have barely had to get out of second gear, and a routine night at the office could be what they need after three defeats in four. Lorient need to up their game and fast. Otherwise, this tie will be out of sight.
The referee ended the first half before PSG had the chance to take the corner. Pochettino's men will not be too bothered, though, as they lead by two goals thanks to a dominant performance. Neymar finished a thrilling team move to open the scoring, with Messi and Mbappe both playing a huge part in the build-up. Mbappe then got a goal of his own to add to his assist, with the Frenchman converting Gueye's pass for his 16th goal of the campaign.
45' + 5' HALF-TIME - PSG 2-0 LORIENT.
45' + 4' CLOSE! Neymar forces a save out of Dreyer, and PSG win yet another corner.
45' + 3' Lorient concede a free-kick on the edge of their box as the first half is nearly ending. If this goes in, it could be game over!
45' Three minutes of stoppage time to come...
G. Wijnaldum
L. Paredes
43' That substitution is now confirmed as Wijnaldum replaces Paredes.
42' PSG are playing with 10 men for now, as Paredes' replacement has yet to enter the game.
40' Paredes appears to be signalling that his night is over, with the PSG midfielder holding his groin near the halfway line.
I. Koné
Yellow Card
38' Kone is the first player into the referee's book after a late challenge on Kimpembe.
37' CHANCE! Hakimi fires wide from inside the box while also claiming he was fouled. However, the officials waved away any appeals as he was offside anyway.
35' Mendes is back on the pitch and moving OK for now, but PSG's medical staff will need to monitor his progress up until half-time.
32' The game comes to a halt as Mendes needs treatment after falling awkwardly on the edge of his own box.
30' Mbappe's latest effort means he has scored 16 in the league this season, while that was Gueye's first assist of the campaign.
K. Mbappé
Goal
28' GOAAAALLL - PSG 2-0 LORIENT - Mbappe caps a fine first half-hour with a goal as he sends Dreyer the wrong way from inside the penalty area. The PSG striker received the ball from Gueye, and before Lorient could slide across the box, Mbappe dribbled his way into space before firing his shot into the bottom-left corner.
I. Gueye
Assist
28' Gueye collects the assist after a rare foray forward allowed him time to pick a pass on the edge of the box.
27' OVER! Messi and Neymar combine, but the Argentinian fails to hit the target as he volleys over the crossbar. Neymar's looping ball over the top allowed Messi to run into the penalty area with power, but he lifted his volley, and the crowd watched on as his strike hit the roof of the net.
24' Messi has decided to go and play in the middle of midfield in order to receive more possession.
22' Pochettino's troops are not under any pressure inside their own half, and it seems like Lorient are more focused on keeping the score at 1-0 rather than trying to score their first goal of the evening.
20' The tempo has dropped since Pochettino's men opened the scoring. Worryingly for Lorient, PSG have a record of W9, D0, L0 when scoring the opening goal at home in the French Ligue 1 this season.
17' Neymar now has six goals in Ligue 1 this season, and with the way he, Messi and Mbappe have started, it would be no surprise to see him add to that tally this evening.
15' After a rough few weeks for the PSG squad, Neymar's goal should settle them down and with the fans firmly behind them, they will hope to push for a second before half-time.
K. Mbappé
Assist
12' Mbappe showed great vision to pick out his team-mate, especially when he could have gone for goal himself.
Neymar
Goal
12' GOAAALLL - PSG 1-0 LORIENT - Simply brilliant from PSG's front three as Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar combine to devastating effect. All three of them were practically stood together when Messi received the ball, but his delicate flick found Mbappe. The former Monaco man played in Neymar, who took his time before firing past Dreyer. Outstanding!
10' Neymar needs to be careful from now on as he barges into Lorient full-back Mendes at full speed. The visitors demanded the Brazilian should have been shown a yellow card, but referee Hakim Ben El Hadj kept his cards in his pocket for now.
8' Messi has been quiet so far, but Lorient will know that can change at any moment!
6' OVER! Danilo Pereira jumps higher than his marker at the near post, but he heads over the crossbar. That was a massive opportunity for PSG to open the scoring.
5' PSG win another corner as Mendes' low cross is deflected behind!
5' It remains goalless as Lorient clear the corner!
4' CHANCE! Mbappe wins PSG a corner as his low shot is saved by Dreyer. The home fans went wild as the Frenchman raced towards goal, but his effort needed more power.
3' The visitors have started proceedings with a spring in their step, but their first meaningful attack is stopped by Mendes at the back post. The PSG left-back was caught out for a split second, allowing Ouattara to sneak into the area, but Mendes made amends at the second attempt.
1' We are under way at the Parc des Princes!
The two teams are now in the tunnel, and kick-off is moments away in Paris!
PSG are winless in their last two Ligue 1 games against Lorient. However, both of those came away from home.
Pochettino has a host of injury problems, with Keylor Navas, Marco Verratti, Ismael Gharbi, Abdou Diallo, Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa all in the treatment room. Messi had a bout of flu before the international break, but he takes his spot in the PSG attack. Lorient midfielder Bonke Innocent misses out due to suspension, while Lemoine is forced to settle for a place on the bench due to a calf injury.

Lorient managed to hold Strasbourg to a goalless draw last month, and their form is slightly better than PSG's, with Christophe Pelissier's side losing just one in four in Ligue 1.
Mauricio Pochettino's side still have a handsome advantage at the top of the Ligue 1 table, but their 3-0 defeat to Monaco was the latest in a string of poor performances. They have now lost three of their last four in all competitions.
Good evening and welcome to our coverage of the Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Lorient from the Parc des Princes. PSG were stunned by Monaco before the international break, and they will hope to respond in front of their home fans.
