Commentary

That's all from a remarkable encounter at Camp Nou, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
Barcelona must now recover in time to tackle a top-of-the-table El Clasico in Madrid at the weekend, and they host Bayern next time out in Europe - that will surely be a make-or-break occasion for the Catalan club. Meanwhile, Inter may have mixed feelings as they prepare to welcome Salernitana to San Siro on Sunday, but they are in a strong position to progress from Group C when they tackle Viktoria Plzen at the end of the month.
A scarcely credible 45 minutes of football will go down in Champions League folklore, as both Barcelona and Inter exploited the other's defensive deficiencies to produce a barnstorming six-goal thriller at Camp Nou. Salvaging a point keeps Barca within three points of their visitors, but there remains an uphill battle to haul the Nerazzurri in with only two games remaining. They at least avoided slipping out at the group stage again, but for Inzaghi's men - who fought bravely and were clinical on the counter - it's a case of what might have been.
90' + 8' FULL-TIME: BARCELONA 3-3 INTER
90' + 7' Bellanova finds Gosens inside the area, but surely the final chance of an incredible half goes begging when the wing-back sees his shot turned behind by Ter Stegen.
90' + 5' Incandescent on the touchline, Inzaghi is sent off by the referee - the drama just keeps notching up! What next at Camp Nou!?
90' + 4' SAVE! Inter miss a golden opportunity to win it all over again, as Asllani breaks clear into the Barca box after the home side leave just two men alone at the back. The midfielder delays too long before taking the shot and allows Ter Stegen to narrow the angle, which enables the German keeper to make a smart save with his boot! Barca breathe again!
Eric García
Assist
90' + 2' Up from the back to aid Barca's attacking cause, Garcia clips over a ball for Lewandowski to head home.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
90' + 2' 3-3! Barca are not done yet, they battle back once more to pull level through Lewandowski. Their star striker powers in a header from the left side of the penalty area, following Garcia's deep cross, and they somehow keep themselves in the competition! Inter are bereft!
Lautaro Martínez
Assist
89' After scoring the second, Martinez lays on Inter's third. He pulls the ball back across goal after a counter-attack for Gosens to thump home.
R. Gosens
Goal
89' INTER BACK IN FRONT! Barca are on the verge of elimination, as Gosens silences Camp Nou again; putting Inter 3-2 ahead on the break! The hosts left the back door wide open, and Martinez strode into the space before picking out the German wide man at the back post to slot past an isolated Ter Stegen. What a finale - but it's not over yet!
F. Acerbi
A. Bastoni
86' A straight swap at the back sees Acerbi replace Bastoni.
K. Asllani
N. Barella
85' Goalscorer Barella is now replaced by Asllani in the Inter midfield.
H. Mkhitaryan
Yellow Card
84' Amid a hectic conclusion to the match, Mkhitaryan becomes the latest player booked, for a late tackle on De Jong.
Ferran Torres
Gavi
82' Gavi's shift is brought to an early end; Torres is thrown on.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
82' LEWY LEVELS! Barcelona pull it back to 2-2, and a breathless encounter is still up for grabs! Lewandowski has looked likeliest today, and the veteran striker adds yet another Champions League goal to his tally by finding the bottom-left corner with a deflected effort that leaves Onana beaten all ends up!
80' Again, the flag for offside is raised at the end of a Barca move. This time, Dembele is the culprit - and doubly so, as he wastes the opportunity when set free by a long Lewandowski pass.
O. Dembélé
Yellow Card
78' A howling Darmian goes down in a crumpled heap on the touchline, after Dembele thunders into the wing-back with a hefty challenge. That's a booking for the frustrated Frenchman.
77' Barca continue to press for a precious equaliser: Kessie stands an inviting ball up from the right for Lewandowski, but his luck is not in today, and another header skews off target.
R. Bellanova
E. Džeko
76' Now, Dzeko makes way for another wing-back, Bellanova.
R. Gosens
H. Çalhanoğlu
76' Inter give Gosens the chance to provide fresh legs, as Calhanoglu comes off.
75' Lewandowski meets a corner from the right by Dembele with a header from near the penalty spot, but it rises over the crossbar and Inter breathe again.
F. Kessié
Sergi Roberto
73' Xavi replaces right-back Roberto with ex-Milan midfielder Kessie.
Sergi Roberto
Yellow Card
72' Yellow Card Sergi Roberto Carnicer
Alejandro Balde
Marcos Alonso
72' Alonso is replaced by Balde on Barca's left flank.
71' SAVE! Again making an elaborate save - but also an effective one - Onana punches the ball clear after Dembele unleashes a shot from outside the box, which seems to be heading for the bottom-right corner!
70' The ball bounces back off Dembele's chest and into the path of Lewandowski, just 10 yards out from goal. The striker snaps up the chance and rattles the ball home, but the assistant's flag is soon raised to indicate offside - that was close!
M. Darmian
F. Dimarco
67' Inzaghi moves to tighten things up on the left flank, as the more defensive Darmian is brought on for Dimarco.
Ansu Fati
Raphinha
64' Xavi reacts to going behind, as Fati is thrown on for Raphinha up front.
F. de Jong
Sergio Busquets
63' Busquets is also withdrawn by the Barcelona boss; De Jong comes on.
H. Çalhanoğlu
Assist
63' After his decisive goal last week, Calhanoglu lays on a crucial assist today by picking out Martinez in the Barca area.
Lautaro Martínez
Goal
63' INTER LEAD! Martinez's goal drought is over - and what a way to do it! After eight barren games, the Inter striker chests down a long ball from Calhanoglu and steers a low shot into the net via the inside of the far post! Ter Stegen is left helpless, and Camp Nou is stunned!
61' Dumfries misses another chance to strike, as the wing-back pops up in the Barcelona area but allows Roberto to recover and intercept at the last moment.
59' Following victories over Liverpool and Viktoria Plzen so far this year, Inter are now aiming to win three consecutive away games for the first time ever in the European Cup or Champions League. One more goal today could do it.
57' SUPER SAVE! Ter Stegen dives low to his left; making a superb stop to deny Martinez's header following a corner! The game is wide open and could go either way now!
S. de Vrij
Yellow Card
55' For bringing down Pedri deep inside his own half, De Vrij becomes the second Inter player to see yellow in short order.
Lautaro Martínez
Yellow Card
52' Martinez is booked for a foul on Dembele inside the Inter half.
52' After receiving the ball from Pedri inside the area, Lewandowski arrows a shot over the crossbar, as Barca seek an instant riposte to losing their lead.
A. Bastoni
Assist
50' A typically accurate ball up from the back by Bastoni finds Barella inside the Barcelona area.
N. Barella
Goal
50' INTER PULL LEVEL! Camp Nou is silenced, as Barella brilliantly eludes Pique to volley home the equaliser from close range! He controlled a long Bastoni ball over the centre-back's head first time, then powered the ball past Ter Stegen and into the top-left corner: 1-1!
49' After Lewandowski nods the ball down for Pique near the penalty spot, the veteran defender decides to attempt an elaborate back-heeled return, which zips past the Polish striker and ends the attack.
47' A blow to the chest leaves Inter captain Skriniar breathless right at the start of the second half, and the big centre-back has to be aided back to his feet. He's made of stern stuff and is able to resume his role in the visitors' back three.
46' Barcelona kick off, and we are back under way at Camp Nou!
If Inter can defy expectation and turn this game around entirely, they would be bound for the knockout stage at Barcelona's expense because Bayern are cruising past Plzen. They'd surely take a point, though. That still requires an equaliser, and their attacking options on the bench are mostly untried teenagers - so can Martinez or Dzeko become a Nerazzurri hero?
All the evidence shows that a fired-up Barcelona are good value for their half-time lead, as they've dominated both possession and shot count while racking up a total of eight corners. However, Inter spurned a couple of good chances on the break and seemed content in their plan to sit deep and frustrate their hosts until Barca's pressure began to bear late in the piece. Unsurprisingly, the opener had its origins on the Blaugrana's right, and Xavi will surely ask his team to target that fruitful area again after the break - they still need another goal to feel the three points are secure.
45' + 4' HALF-TIME: BARCELONA 1-0 INTER
45' + 2' Gavi now gets in on the act, as the teenager sends a shot from outside the box well wide of the left-hand post.
45' There are at least four minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of this frantic first half, and with Raphinha running Inter's defence ragged, the Nerazzurri are merely hanging on for the whistle in Catalonia.
43' CLOSE! Camp Nou is rocking now, as a capacity crowd sees Raphinha turn a shot from the right side of the box narrowly over the top-left corner!
Sergi Roberto
Assist
40' Continuing his forays into the Inter box, Roberto pops up on the right byline to deliver a precise low cross for Dembele to fire home.
O. Dembélé
Goal
40' BARCA LEAD! Reward for their growing dominance finally arrives, as Barcelona go 1-0 up through Dembele. A sprint to the touchline by Roberto is followed by a smart low ball across the box, which the French winger is first to meet; turning the ball into the bottom-right corner past Onana!
39' Barcelona are getting closer to the opening goal as half-time draws near, and Onana makes a save from Pedri at close quarters.
38' Again involved in Barcelona's best play inside the final third, Lewandowski picks out Roberto, but the latter can't quite get a shot away.
36' CLOSE! Snatching at a chance to steer home a shot from Lewandowski's teasing cross, Raphinha only manages to thump the ball into the turf and up over the crossbar: Inter escape!
34' While Barcelona have bossed the ball - and Inter have been quite happy to let them do so - there have been several chances for both sides, and perhaps the visitors' have been the best of the bunch so far.
32' Having received treatment for his knock when saving from Lewandowski, Onana is able to continue, as the action continues apace. It's a feisty affair at Camp Nou, and events on the touchline are almost equally entertaining: Xavi is furiously contesting almost every decision!
30' DOUBLE STOP! A low drive by Roberto from the right side of the area has Onana in trouble, as the Inter goalkeeper spills the ball into the path of the lurking Lewandowski. Just quick enough to react first, Onana scoops the ball away from danger before staying down hurt. Play comes to a temporary halt.
29' SAVE! Barella starts another Inter break, releasing Dumfries on the right side of the Barca area, but the wing-back fires his low shot straight at Ter Stegen in the centre of Barca's goal!
27' SAVE! Perhaps embellishing his effort with a flamboyant save, Onana keeps out a powerful drive by Dembele from more than 20 yards out!
25' After the danger from another Raphinha free-kick is cleared, Inter mount a counter-attack which ends with Ter Stegen making a routine save low down to keep out Mkhitaryan's daisy-cutter.
23' Raphinha finally takes the free-kick, and picks out Lewandowski, whose header from the centre of the area comfortably misses the top-left corner.
20' An unseemly tussle between Skriniar and Lewandowski kicks off a brief meeting of players from both teams - and like last week in Milan, the tone is not friendly! The referee ultimately gets the game back under way, but there's plenty of needle in this encounter.
18' How will Barca respond to that scare? From nothing, Inter nearly took the lead, and going behind would have left the hosts with plenty of work to do. As things stand - with Bayern already two goals ahead against Plzen - it is between these two sides for second place in Group C.
16' OFF THE BAR! After Gavi brings down Dumfries out on the right, Calhanoglu sends over a wicked free-kick from near the touchline. It drops to Dzeko around 10 yards out, and the veteran striker stretches to turn the ball goalwards; sending it crashing against the underside of the crossbar and back down onto the line! Eventually, Ter Stegen is able to gather the ball and end the Inter threat.
14' Barca are applying a certain amount of pressure now, as they circulate the ball midway through the Inter half without too much in the way of a challenge from their opponents. They're not getting anywhere fast, though.
12' Remarkably, Barcelona have only suffered one defeat from the last 17 times they’ve hosted any Serie A side in the Champions League; winning on 13 occasions. That loss, though, did come in the most recent fixture - to Juventus in December 2020.
10' Mkhitaryan clears a header away from inside his own six-yard box, then Busquets tees up Raphinha for a shot from just outside the box. The latter's effort is always rising, however, and sails far over Onana's crossbar.
8' Dzeko releases strike partner Martinez down the right, and the Argentinian forward steers a shot into the side-netting from a tight angle on the right side of the box. The flag soon goes up for offside in any case.
6' There has been little fluency to the opening stages so far, with Inter prepared to drop their wing-backs into a defensive five and frustrate their hosts. They'll look to strike on the counter.
4' Inter's first corner is taken by Dimarco, who sends over an outswinging cross to the near post. Martinez makes a smart run to get first contact on the ball, but is crowded out and his header is angled well off-target.
2' Roberto comes close to stealing in at the back post, with a run into the area from his station on the right flank, but a crossfield ball sails just over his head and behind for a goal-kick.
1' Inter kick off, and we are under way in Barcelona!
The Champions League anthem has been observed, Camp Nou is in full voice, and kick-off is now just moments away!
In addition to absent midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, both Joaquin Correa and Romelu Lukaku remain short of fitness following injury, so Inter once again pair Martinez and Dzeko up front. On the right flank, Simone Inzaghi brings Dumfries in for Darmian, who started last Tuesday's win. Onana keeps his place in goal, so with Handanovic benched, Skriniar takes the captain's armband.
Once more without Memphis Depay, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo and Hector Bellerin, Barcelona at least have Frenkie de Jong back in the fold, after he missed the reverse fixture at San Siro. The Dutch midfielder starts on the bench, as Gavi, Pedri and Busquets occupy the home side's engine room. Due to their shortage of right-backs, the versatile Roberto fills in again; Alonso keeps his place on the opposite flank.

Having suffered successive Serie A losses before last week's reverse fixture in Milan, Inter then followed up their three-point haul against Barcelona by beating Sassuolo on Saturday. Still outside the top six in Italy, the Nerazzurri's position in Group C is somewhat stronger, and if they can avoid defeat today they will remain in control of their own destiny heading into the penultimate matchday. Inter suffered a 2-1 defeat when they last travelled to Camp Nou, back in 2019, and have lost every away match they’ve played there in the Champions League to date - suffering five defeats and failing to score in four.
Third in Group C, three points behind their second-placed opponents, Barcelona were beaten 1-0 in a closely contested encounter at San Siro last week. Now six points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich, the Blaugrana are under pressure to reverse that result today. Xavi's new-look side continue to impress in La Liga, though, and sealed seven straight victories on Sunday, courtesy of a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo; joining Real Madrid at the top of the table ahead of this weekend's Clasico. Before playing host today, the Catalan club have lost only three of their last 44 home games in the Champions League.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Champions League Group C clash between Barcelona and Inter at Camp Nou!
