The win for United puts them on the brink of securing a Champions League place as one more point in their final two games will be enough. Bournemouth can no longer finish higher than 14th, but their main goal of survival will keep fans happy. Ten Hag's side host Chelsea in their next game while the Cherries travel to Everton.
United started the game on the front foot and took the lead after just nine minutes as Casemiro scored a bicycle kick from close range. The visitors dominated for the majority of the first half, but Solanke did force a good save from De Gea late on. The United goalkeeper proved to be even more vital in the second half as he kept out good chances from both Moore and Brooks. The Cherries threw everything they had at an equaliser, but the Red Devils held on for a 1-0 win.
