West Ham had fee agreed for Moffi
West Ham and FC Lorient had reportedly agreed a deal for striker Terem Moffi in January, Lorient's president Loic Fery told French outlet L'Equipe, despite a move never materialising.
“We had accepted an offer from Marseille and another from West Ham, which were within our parameters. When you close the door, you have to know when to stop,” Fery said.
Despite offers from these two clubs, Moffi eventually joined OGC Nice on loan with an obligatory option to buy in the summer.
Turkish transfer window extended
The Turkish transfer window has been extended due to the recent disaster that has hit the country, FIFA have confirmed.
"In light of the exceptional situation caused by the natural disaster affecting Türkiye, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided to extend the second registration period of the Turkish Football Association (TFF) in TMS until 18 February 2023," football's governing body wrote in a Tweet.

All three of Liverpool, Manchester United and Roma will reportedly send scouts to watch Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite next week, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven and is thought to be improving significantly under the guidance of former United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
The aforementioned clubs will face competition from PSV themselves when the loan comes to an end, though, as they had two bids rejected by Everton in the summer before agreeing on the loan move.

Atletico would want €140m for Felix from Chelsea
Chelsea completed the loan signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid, with the Portuguese set to see out the season at Stamford Bridge after falling out Diego Simeone in the Spanish capital.
Chelsea’s agreement with Atletico does not include a purchase option, meaning that Felix will be heading back to Wanda Metropolitano in the summer. However, if the Blues want to sign him permanently then they might have to pay €140m, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Portuguese forward has a contract with Atletico until the summer of 2027.
La Liga wants Barcelona to further cut down on wage bills
La Liga chief Javier Tebas has told Barcelona that they must reduce their total wage bill by over €200m (£177m), according to Mundo Deportivo.
Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto are likely to leave in the summer which would assist them. But they might require to part ways with other high-earners as well like Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati.
