Tottenham also make one change to their side from their defeat to Bournemouth. Sarr slots into the backline to replace Lenglet, who drops to the bench. Davies returns to the bench for the visitors.
Newcastle make one change to their side from their defeat at the hands of Villa last week. Longstaff comes back into the side after missing out due to illness last week as he replaces Gordon, who drops to the bench. Wilson and Almiron are also on the bench from the off for Howe's men.

Tottenham had a huge chance to close the gap to Newcastle last week, but were beaten 3-2 at home by Bournemouth. Spurs cannot seem to get out of their own this term, and interim boss Cristian Stellini needs to rally his team for the biggest game of the campaign. The mood surrounding the club is at a low ebb indeed, with Davinson Sanchez booed off by sections of his own fans last week. Despite all their troubles, a win for Tottenham would move them level with Newcastle in the final Champions League place.
Newcastle have a huge chance today to shore up their credentials for a Champions League place next season. The Magpies have been outstanding over the course of the campaign, but put in arguably their worst performance in a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa last time out. Eddie Howe's men still lead Tottenham by three points in fourth place, and can extend the gap to six points with only six games remaining in the term. The contest could be season-defining for both teams.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Tottenham at St James' Park.
