Brendan Rodgers returns to Anfield once more, but finds himself under pressure in his role at Leicester City after a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup. The Foxes have been inconsistent to say the least in all competitions this term and the manner of their exit from the FA Cup has put the Northern Irishman under the spotlight. He needs a performance from his team to boost their fading hopes of competing for a European spot.
The pressure is on Liverpool to respond to Manchester City's win over Brentford that took Pep Guardiola's men 12 points clear at the top of the table. The Reds cannot afford any slip-ups this evening, but back-to-back wins over Brentford and Crystal Palace in their last two Premier League matches have eased the pressure. Jurgen Klopp's men have made it through their games without Mohamed Salah, including their win over Cardiff City in the FA Cup last time out. The Egypt international is back tonight and starts on the bench.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Leicester City at Anfield.
