Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
France will take on Germany in their semi-final clash at Stadium MK on July 27. Netherlands' defence of their European crown ends at the quarter-final stage.
France advance to the semi-finals of the Women's European Championships for the first time after defeating Netherlands 1-0 after extra-time. Les Bleus dominated the contest, but could not find the breakthrough amid brilliant defending from Stefanie van der Gragt and outstanding keeping from Daphne van Domselaar. However, France were awarded a penalty in the first half of extra-time after Kadidiatou Diani was fouled in the box. Eve Perisset held her nerve to score the decisive goal to send her side through to the last four.
