Commentary

That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!
Inter have now played the same amount of games as Milan, and yet they remain two points behind them after tonight's defeat. Inter's title hopes now lie in the hands of their arch-rivals, which is not a good place to be in.
Inter's chances of winning the Serie A title are dealt a huge blow as they fall to a 2-1 defeat against Bologna. Everything was going so well for Inzaghi's side as they opened the scoring inside the third minute, with Perisic taking on several defenders before smashing his shot past Skorupski at the near post. Arnautovic levelled proceedings 25 minutes later, heading home Barrow's inch-perfect cross. At the start of the second half, Inter were expected to push on and look to assert their dominance, but they looked flat and lethargic, and Radu epitomised that with his horrific error. The Inter backup keeper failed to clear his lines after receiving a throw-in, allowing Sansone to tap home from one yard out.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME - BOLOGNA 2-1 INTER.
90' + 3' Radu looks on with a glum look on his face as he knows that his error could have cost his team a share of the spoils and the chance to win the Serie A title.
90' Five minutes of stoppage time to come!
89' Inter have yet to get Dzeko into a good shooting position, and this has been a bad night at the office for Inzaghi's troops. Can they bounce back in stoppage time?
R. Orsolini
M. Arnautović
Bologna
88' Arnautovic, who got Bologna back into tonight's tie is now replaced by Orsolini.
84' OFF THE LINE! A goalmouth scramble nearly helps Inter draw level, but Inzaghi's side are denied after a last-ditch clearance.
N. Sansone
Goal
Bologna
81' GOAAAALLLL - BOLOGNA 2-1 INTER - The home side come back from behind and now lead at home to title-chasing Inter after a howler at the back from the visitors. Perisic's simple throw-in should have been cleared by Radu, but he slipped and played a pass along the goalline, allowing Sansone to tap into an empty net. He will never ever want to see the replay of that strike!
M. Darmian
D. Dumfries
Internazionale
80' Inzaghi also makes a change at full-back, with Darmian getting ten minutes to impress as he replaces Dumfries.
R. Gagliardini
H. Çalhanoğlu
Internazionale
80' That sloppy challenge was Calhanoglu's final act as he is replaced by Gagliardini.
H. Çalhanoğlu
Yellow Card
Internazionale
79' Calhanoglu catches Theate late in midfield, and he picks up a yellow card as a result.
79' Inter will soon start turning desperate this evening, as they desperately need to pick up three points. Inzaghi's men will be one point behind rivals Milan in second if the scores remain as they are.
N. Sansone
M. Barrow
Bologna
77' Another alteration for Bologna as Barrow makes way for Sansone.
75' It is all getting a little spicy out on the pitch as one of Inter's coaches has now been sent off after stepping onto the pitch to boot the ball towards Skorupski, who Inter believe is time wasting.
74' CHANCE! Martinez heads over from a corner, and that is another massive opportunity for the visitors, and they are starting to show signs of frustration.
D. D'Ambrosio
F. Dimarco
Internazionale
70' Despite being Inter's best player this evening, Dimarco makes way for D'Ambrosio.
D. Dumfries
Yellow Card
Internazionale
70' Dumfries is the latest player to be carded as he smashes into Theate near the touchline.
M. Aebischer
M. Svanberg
Bologna
67' Aebischer is also given the chance to shine from the bench, as he comes on for Svanberg.
N. Domínguez
R. Soriano
Bologna
67' Tanjga also turns to his bench as Domínguez comes on in place of Soriano.
65' The fact that Dimarco has had the most amount of shots tonight speaks volumes. The Inter defender is not known for his exploits in front of goal, and the visitors need to do more to get their creative players on the ball.
E. Džeko
J. Correa
Internazionale
63' Dzeko will get just less than 30 minutes to impress as he replaces Correa.
A. Sánchez
N. Barella
Internazionale
63' Here we go then, Inter's first substitution sees Barella make way for Sanchez.
60' Still no sign of any substitutions from either side, but it is Bologna that will be the happier of the two teams as it stands.
57' Barrow wastes an excellent opportunity to test Skorupski in the Inter goal, but he smashes Arnautovic's cross into the stands. That shot may even take a while to reach the ground, a truly awful attempt!
N. Barella
Yellow Card
Internazionale
56' At least Barella did not escape punishment as well, with both players now walking a tightrope.
M. Arnautović
Yellow Card
Bologna
55' The home fans go wild as Arnautovic collects a yellow card after a disagreement with Barella.
53' The visitors have at least kept Skorupski busy, with the Bologna keeper making five saves so far.
50' Inter are playing with confidence at the start of this second half, but there's something not quite right about their display. Inzaghi's side seem to be struggling to create meaningful chances, and he may need to turn to his bench on the hour mark.
47' CLOSE! Dimarco nearly scores his first goal of the night and Inter's second, but his left-footed strike from the edge of the box just sails over Skorupski's crossbar.
46' We are back underway!
While Martinez has been heavily involved for Inter, Correa has been too quiet, and Inzaghi may look to Dzeko from the bench if things do not improve. For now, Bologna will be happy with their current situation, but they cannot afford to rest on their laurels.
The referee brings the first 45 minutes to a close, and we have a game on our hands, despite a slow start from the hosts. Bologna fell behind after just three minutes when Perisic drilled home his shot from the edge of the box. Inter missed a couple of chances to make it two-nil, and they were eventually punished when Arnautovic headed home Barrow's cross. While neither side ended the first half on the front foot, at least we have something to look forward to in the second 45 minutes.
45' + 4' HALF-TIME - BOLOGNA 1-1 INTER.
45' Four minutes of stoppage time to come at the end of the first half.
43' Arnautovic tries his luck again with a header on the edge of the six-yard box, but his latest drive is saved easily by Radu.
39' After a slow start to tonight's fixture, Bologna are actually ending the half as the better team. Inter need to regroup as quickly as possible if they want to return to the top of the table.
36' Thankfully for Bologna, Hickey is back on the grass, and he appears to have shaken off his latest injury.
34' Hickey goes down for a second time tonight, but it does not look like the two injuries are related, with his left shoulder now the issue as he tried to stop Dumfries.
33' CHANCE! Inter should be 2-1 ahead, but Dumfries' diving header at the far post sails over the crossbar. Bologna's defence switched off for a split second, but the visitors could not punish them.
31' Things are clearly getting heated out there as Inzaghi is shown a yellow card on the touchline!
30' Arnautovic now leads Bologna's scoring charts with 13 goals, and he has now scored in his previous three games in the Serie A.
M. Barrow
Assist
Bologna
28' After a quiet start to proceedings, Bologna pair Barrow and Arnautovic finally combine for the home side. The former put the ball on a plate for his team-mate, and finally, we have a game on our hands.
M. Arnautović
Goal
Bologna
28' GOALLLLL - BOLOGNA 1-1 INTER - Game on!!! Arnautovic fires Bologna level, and out of nowhere, we are level. The former Stoke City striker stayed onside and met Barrow's cross with power before heading past Radu with ease.
26' Inter have an injury worry here as Martinez goes down holding his ankle after unleashing a powerful shot towards goal.
25' Skriniar makes an ambitious run forward, but the defender produces a weak shot, and Skorupski watches it fly past his far post.
23' Perisic's fine run of form continues with that early goal this evening, as he has now contributed to goals in his last four games in the Italian Serie A.
21' We are back underway and it looks like Hickey is fine to continue.
19' The game comes to a halt as Hickey needs treatment after a strong challenge in the middle of midfield.
17' BLOCK! Inter come close to scoring a second, but Martinez is denied after a well-timed challenge from Bologna centre-back Soumaoro.
15' If Bologna's players could match their performance levels to that of their fans, then this could be a close game. The home supporters continue to make themselves heard, but it is Inter that are still in control.
11' Inter are still controlling proceedings, and their three-man defence has had very little to do so far!
9' CHANCE! Martinez wastes an excellent opportunity to double Inter's lead as he blazes over from inside the box. The striker pounced on a loose ball after Skorupski had saved Dimarco's shot, but he smashed his effort over the crossbar.
6' Bologna's fans have responded well to their team's poor start, but they have had nothing to cheer inside the first six minutes.
N. Barella
Assist
Internazionale
3' Barella claims the assist, but his role in the goal was a simple one. Perisic did the rest with a stunning finish from the edge of the box.
I. Perišić
Goal
Internazionale
3' GOAAAALLLL - BOLOGNA 0-1 INTER - Perisic stuns those inside Renato Dall'Ara as he opens the scoring inside the first four minutes. The Inter striker played a quick one-two on the edge of the box, nutmegged an onrushing defender before smashing the ball into the top corner. Incredible bit of skill and the finish to match!
1' We are underway!
The two teams are out on the field of play, and we are moments away from kick-off!
Inter have won six of their previous eight Serie A games against Bologna - the Rossoblu have won the remaining two, while the last draw between these two sides dates back to September 2017.
Arnautovic, Soumaoro and Medel all return from suspension to start for Bologna this evening, with Kingsley Michael the only player not available to coach Miroslav Tanjga. Inzaghi has injuries of his own to contend with, as Arturo Vidal and Robin Gosens miss out.

Inter have enjoyed a fine few days of late, beating Roma 3-1 in the league, just days after knocking out rivals Milan in the Coppa Italia. Inzaghi's side can still dream of a domestic double, and they at least know their destiny is in their own hands.
Inter can return to the top of the table with a victory this evening, but they face a Bologna side who have not lost any of their previous four in the league. Simone Inzaghi's men are unbeaten in 11 contests, winning five in a row in all competitions.
Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of the Serie A clash between Bologna and Inter. Tonight's contest was postponed earlier in the year, and Inter will be doing all they can to move a step closer to defending their title.
