Morocco succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to defending champions France in the 2022 Fifa World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday night.
Several jaded Moroccan players produced below-par performances, but there are those who impressed at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.
GOAL ran the rule over the individual performances of the Moroccan players.

Bounou was beaten from close range early on by Theo Hernandez's fine acrobatic strike. Many felt he could've stopped the player from taking the shot.
He was also beaten late on by Randal Kolo Muani's goal which came into the France substitute's path from an unexpected Kylian Mbappe deflection. Between those goals, Bounou didn’t have too much to do.
Contained the dangerous Kylian Mbappe who never posed a major threat to him.
Hakimi was a great outlet more than once to try and carry his side upfield and he delivered some decent crosses into France's box while being solid defensively.
A livewire on the left flank for the Atlas Lions.
Mazroaui overlapped to great effect in the first half but he had to be withdrawn at half-time as his hip injury flared up.
Couldn't cope with France's explosive attackers.
Saiss was outpaced by Giroud who then hit the upright. The Moroccan defender was substituted in the 21st minute due to an injury. He took a risk starting the game but the gamble didn't pay off.
A last-minute replacement for Nayef Aguerd.
Dari couldn’t clear the Hernandez goal when on the line, and he struggled to contain Man of Match Antoine Griezmann who was France's livewire on the right wing.
El Yamiq started slowly with Olivier Giroud unsettling him.
However, he improved as the game progressed and he almost scored with an outrageous overhead kick which hit the post.
Another good display by the ACF Fiorentina star.
Amrabat played accurate passes through the lines to open up France’s midfield. He also made some well-timed tackles including one where he stopped Mbappe.
One of Morocco's better performers on the night.
Ounahi displayed good technique and the ability to switch play as Morocco dominated possession. He also came close to scoring in the latter stages of the game.

Ziyech's one-touch interplay down the channel was good for the most part as he unsettled the French defence, but he couldn't keep his attempts on target.
Isolated and frustrated.
En-Nesyri never posed a threat to the French defence and he gave away possession at times when Morocco were looking to launch attacks.
Full of running.
However, Boufal was involved in some decent link play in the final third for much of an hour before being substituted while looking tired.
Replaced Saiss and he was always keen to take shots at goal - forcing goalkeeper Hugo Loris into a fine diving save.
Came on at half-time and he combined well with his teammates as the Atlas Lions dominated possession, but he couldn't cut open the opposition's defence to create chances.
Came close to scoring after replacing En-Nesyri in the 66th minute as he took up some good positions in France's box and made promising runs with the ball.
Also got himself into good positions and he had a chance to score but could not quite leap high enough to nod home a deflected cross having been introduced in the 67th minute.
Introduced in the 78th minute and he didn't make an impact with France defending in numbers.
