    Morocco’s tactics spot on

The organisation of the Moroccans is just top notch. Their transition from defence to attack is just incredible. Well done, Morocco. The continent of Africa is behind you.

    Eto’o prediction almost true

When are some of you going to apologise to [Samuel] Eto'o for mocking his prediction? In the end, his prediction was closer than some who said Brazil vs Germany, Belgium vs Spain, etc. -Izuchukwu Saviour Otubelu

Samuel Eto'o's dream is finally coming to reality even though Cameroon have been eliminated, at least Morocco will make Africa proud. Congratulations to the Atlas Lions. -Asanga Alain Fidel

Ronaldo can now call it quits

Ronaldo is going out but he breaks the record as the most-capped player in football history. He has done great for the sport, it’s time to call it quit. Forever, the GOAT! - @BongoIdeas

    Morocco the team to beat

This Morocco team is a team to beat at this World Cup. Very coordinated and play as a team. Very good goalkeeper also. Hoping to see them in the final. -Ojo Samuel

I did say right from the group stages. Asian and African teams were showing great improvement. Morocco will be in the final, they have resilience in defence and once they are in front, it's almost impossible to equalize. -Vusi Zuke

  • Cristiano Ronaldo.

    Ronaldo deserved better

A very sad day for Football. CR7 deserved a much better send off after all he has done for Portugal and the world of football. You always start with your best players, sadly the coach went for one-hit wonders. -Ehsaan Ahmad

Morocco’s identity winning it for them

The only reason African teams fail to go further like what Morocco did is because when they get there, they try to copy European team’s identity and then get hammered. Look at what Morocco did, they had been sticking to their identity. Well-packed at the back and throw missiles by way of a counter orchestrated by just three attackers while the rest remain in their defensive half. - Chere Booker Hwetazy

  • Walid Regragui.

Regragui has proven African coaches can do it

I wonder why Africans keep wasting money on hiring half-baked foreign coaches. This Morocco coach has shown us that African coaches are superb too. I wonder when my beloved country Nigeria would stop hiring half-baked foreign coaches and trust their own. -Esemuze Peter Ehigai
