Struggling Derby County have received a lifeline after business group Clowes Development completed a takeover to take the club out of administration.

The Rams were relegated to League One in 2021-22 after receiving a 12-point deduction in September for entering administration.

Salah signs new contract to end speculation over Liverpool exit


Mohamed Salah has ended speculation over his Liverpool future by signing a new three-year contract with the club.

The Egyptian had been set to enter the final year of his current deal, but has now put pen to paper on an extension that will keep him at Anfield until 2025.

The 30-year-old becomes the highest-paid player in Reds history, reward for five years of stellar service since joining from Roma in 2017.

Manchester United's pursuit of Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia is being hampered by an issue around his representation in the proposed transfer, according to The Atheltic.

Man United are believed to have reached a full agreement with Feyenoord to sign the 22-year-old Dutch international for €15 million plus €2 million in add-ons and a sell-on clause.

As of Friday Ousmane Demble is officially unattached.

The Barcelona striker's contract expired on June 30 and no extension was signed to stay at Camp Nou.

Chelsea are among the clubs interested in the striker while there is still an offer from Barca on the table, per Sport, though if he resigns now it will count as a new signing for the Catalans.
